Chapter 79: Chapter 79

Chapter 79

Sansa's Pov

I never wanted to stay alive in my life; I was prepared, and I even tried twice, but the breath I wanted to get rid of a long time ago never left me; it was the only breath that was loyal to me when no one else was in my worst times, and I didn't want breath to keep me alive.

I was just a burden on the earth, living on the streets and stealing food from shopkeepers to satisfy my hunger. a toy for bullies who wouldn't let me sleep on the street at night because I was afraid of becoming their target.

Every lusty, full-drunk man wanted to rob me because I was an open safe. a beggar for those who passed by on the street every day and threw a few cents here and there, which was never enough for a proper meal.

Then Logan entered my life, and I lived for him. He was the one I never wanted to die anymore. He became my happiness and my life, which I wanted to protect.

That night, as I shivered in fear, Xavier vowed to make me his. I wanted to return to Logan unharmed, untouchable, and a virgin.

Logan had sole ownership of my body, emotions, life, and soul. He was the only reason I was attempting to flee Xavier that night.

I gave up on myself to protect my first love; I missed Logan and craved for him every second, but I got stuck in the mud, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't keep myself safe.

My hand was slowly reaching into my pocket to pull out the pistol when I realized my life was hanging by a thread.

That was the time for me to kill the man who ruined my dream wedding by claiming me as his bride in the name of the Oak Pack's law, which I refused to accept.

When he stood so close to my face, I was already pinned against the wall. His breath tickled my skin. There was no space between us.

I was fighting to get him off of me.

Xavier tightened his grip on my neck, and I couldn't breathe. Before reaching for the pistol, my hands reached his hands and attempted to unlock his grip on my neck while I was completely out of breath.

"How could you betray me in such a way?" Xavier yelled angrily.

I knew the punishment he had announced to keep me in the mansion was insufficient for him to exact vengeance on me. He wanted to see me suffer because I dared to oppose him.

He was a death to me, not showing mercy. "Promise me that you will not do anything like that, and I will give you one more chance," he suddenly said calmly.

My words were stuck in my mouth because there was no room for them to escape. I was trying to speak, but "I... I."

"What exactly are you saying?" I'm not sure what you mean by " While still choking my neck, he said

"I.......... "  I was out of breath, and the final moment had arrived when my breathing would have stopped naturally in the next second.

As he left my neck, I gasped for air and awoke, as if from the dead. I was coughing a lot.

"My original plan was to keep you by my side, fall in love with you, and marry you, but I don't believe you deserve my kindness." When I inhaled more quickly, he leaned in closer.

"So now is the time for me to make you mine; whether you like it or not, I don't care." He grinned and boosted shamelessly.

After pushing him away with both hands, I started running, navigating my way out of the room like a rat trapped in a maze. Like a fish, it craved water in its final moments. I dashed over to the door, knocking and screaming for assistance.

I returned my gaze to him, who was approaching me slowly and smiling. He desired to be us alone. I could tell he didn't have good intentions. That could have been my last day.

I wished he could kill me that day to put an end to my misery, but that was only the beginning. The start of the consequences of going against his will. He demanded more from me until my last breath, even though I could never accept him.

I was not only his hostage, who pretended to be his wife, but also a puppet who was ruined for not obeying his command. I was a toy he could play with whenever he wanted or threatened.

When the person was walking towards me to ruin me even more with his lust, I turned back to the door and tried to break it anyway.

"Is there anyone out there?" Please unlock the door!" I kept shouting and knocking on the door, but there was no response, even though the entire mansion was empty and only two of us were trapped in the room.

I had no idea that the slap I slapped on his face would cost me more than I had bargained for. He was not merciful, but he wanted to enjoy every moment.

When things got out of hand and I was about to pull the pistol from my pocket with my left hand, he grabbed my left hand and pulled me closer to him. I missed another opportunity to draw the weapon I kept close to me.

"You knew I wouldn't forgive the traitor, but you dug your own grave, why?" In husky tones, he inquired.

"Let me go," I dared to say while avoiding his gaze.

"You will remember this night for the rest of your life; your life will be changed tonight," he boasted shamelessly, a grin on his face.

"I am warning you," I yelled from within, giddy because my head was hurting so badly and my entire body was in pain.

He was watching me as if I were a sparrow attempting to escape from a gold-plated cage.

"Would you ever oppose me?" He inquired while I was lost in my thoughts about how much I despised his sight.

I didn't say the words he was hoping to hear: "Let me go."

"I gave you another chance, but you ruined it again, and as I said, I won't give you a second chance," he chuckled.

"Stop playing with me; if you want to punish me, I chose death over being by your side," I said flatly, looking into his eyes.

When I decided not to do it because he wanted it, he wanted me to beg for mercy. He wanted me to see myself as broken, weak, and helpless while I was pretending to be the bravest.

"I can't let you die; we have a long way to go, a lot of time to spend, and a lot of things to talk about. We have a lot of memories to make together," he said, touching my hair.

In a rage, I pushed his hand away from my hair and began running towards the balcony, hoping to draw the attention of the pack. My head smacked into his broad chest as he dashed in front of me to prevent me from going onto the balcony.

"Would you like to be a prankster again?" he mockingly asked.

He was teasing me so much that when I told the pack about our fake marriage, I turned into a prankster for them. They couldn't believe me because Alpha Xavier had programmed them to believe him blindly.

I took two steps back while he continued to walk towards me. "Your one wrong move will land you in hot water, honey." My ears were pricked by his husky voice.

I never expected him to be so brutal; he claimed me as his bride, but the behavior he displayed was demonic.

I'd been stuck in the same room with him before, but not like this; he was hungry to ruin me and make me his that night when we were both locked inside the room. He was obstinate, seizing every opportunity to make me feel insecure. Force me to flee for my life.

I was terrified when he kept getting so close to me. When my heart was racing like it was about to explode, I held my breath. My brow was drenched in sweat.

"What were you doing in the jungle?" While he was walking slowly towards me and I was moving backward, he asked again to get the truth, which he already knew.

"I'm not going to answer something you already know," I said slowly.

"I would harm you, but I will not let you die; I will torture you until life becomes a curse to you if you try to flee again," When I was losing my vision, his voice echoed and changed pitch.

I was weak and tired, and I couldn't open my eyes for long before they were filled with darkness.
