Chapter 25: Chapter 25
The next morning I woke up and when I saw myself in the mirror. I was shocked and upset. I looked at my arm and it was bruised with his markings but that wasn’t what bothered me. I turned around and looked at my back and it was beginning to swell up a bit more. I guess I was going to need the tetanus shot after all, but that wasn’t the thing that bothered me more. It was what was around my neck that pissed me off more. I had remembered him lingering around the area longer, but at the time I didn’t care because I needed him inside me. Now I knew what he was doing. On the right side of my neck, I had a red blotch, instantly I knew what it was. He had made a love bite on my neck. I was pissed. He already knew how I felt about being discreet. I was a fucking teacher how was I going to go to work with a love bite. It wasn’t as big but it was red. I knew I needed to hide it but how. I wasn’t going to wear a turtle neck and then I thought about my arm. It was beginning to bruise and I knew Melba and the girls would question. I didn’t have that much time if I didn’t want to get caught up in traffic so I washed up quickly and headed to my ward rope. I pulled out a purple ¾ cut sleeve blouse with rhinestones in its collar and pulled out some black semi-tight black pants. I knew I had to keep it presentable since it was Friday. I couldn’t wear my regular school t-shirt and jeans that would show my bruised arm. The next thing I did was try to use a cover for my newly hickey mark. I knew I had to talk to Diego about marking me, but I kind of knew why he did it. I wore my hair down and tried as I might the blemish was still visible. I tried a scarf but with Laredo weather being hot the look was not acceptable. I went into my jewelry box and took out a purple choker necklace with a skull on it. I had worn it for Halloween at one time. I kept it because I liked the way I looked with it. I knew I couldn’t wear the skull so I pulled it out. I had a cross charm with purple studs in it and threaded it in. I placed it around my neck and took a look back in the mirror. I liked the look. I decided on wearing my ropers. I was hoping I wouldn’t be getting any looks about the way I was dressing but that was inevitable as I had been wearing crazy outfits all week. I kept my hair down so as not to show off the hickey in case it moved suddenly and peeked out of the chocker. I liked my hair down. The movements with my blouse made me feel uncomfortable. I felt the fabric and bra move around the scratch I had on my back. I didn’t appreciate it. I just had to remember not to pay much attention to it, so as not to have someone ask what was wrong with me. I was ready to head out when I got a text. I read it quickly. You haven’t texted me your address. I knew right away it was Roger. I texted him my address quickly and closed it up. I heard the text message ring but didn’t bother to look at it. I rushed out the door, closing it and as I turned. I almost knocked into Fred. He looked at me up and down and settled on the face. “I don’t care what your friend say’s Fio about you being committed to one another. I still want to see you this Saturday.” He said. It took me back to that night and I had already made my mind about letting Fred down easy. Diego was right, if I wanted to become a Dom I would need to learn how to be a submissive first and then gradually in a dominant. I couldn’t be distracted by the feelings of others during that time. “Listen, Fred, I am going to have to change this Saturday. I forgot it’s my birthday. I didn’t care for anyone else to know but my friends and I will be celebrating it, which I hate. You know who wants to be a year older.” “Can we like make it a rain check or something?” He looked at me for a while. “Well, then am I invited he said as he caressed my bruised shoulder.” I felt the pain radiate through my body and I pulled back right away. “Is something wrong?” he asked. “No, just hit myself coming inside the door last night and I guess I kind of bruised it or something.” I said to him. “Oh, I am sorry so what about that invite?” I didn’t want to keep playing with him so I said the one thing that could keep him in the bay. “Diego will be there too.” I said to him. The only thing is that he saw that as more of a challenge than anything else because he smiled at me. “Great, I don’t mind.” He went down the stairs fast before I could even reach the bottom step. I saw in the corner of my eye the fast approach of Diego. He was beside me the moment I hit the last step. “Where are you going?” he asked me. “To work.” I said. He looked to see Fred staring at us. “I thought you were going to call the doctor.” He asked. Fred was already backing away from the carport and slowly driving away. “Listen Diego my doctor isn’t open on Fridays. I’ll have to call on Monday to make the appointment.” I said to him as I started to walk to my truck. “You will call, Fio” this is not a request it’s an order. Order what the fuck now I am taking orders. I didn’t want to fight this early in the morning. He looked at me and I did him. In a moment his lips were on me. “Stay and I’ll stay too.” He said. “Can’t didn’t make arrangements for a sub” I said to him. I pulled back and climbed up my truck the moment my back hit the seat. I pulled up and gripped the wheel. The only problem with this was that Diego was right beside me. “Fio, Oh God I am so sorry,” he said. “It’s okay Diego I’ll be okay.” I placed my truck in the reverse gear but not before I heard him say. “I’ll see you tonight.” I stopped. “Diego I can’t I have plans but I’ll see you tomorrow.” I said and pulled out quickly not allowing him to have a word. Melba!” I called as soon as I walked into school and headed to my classroom. I was glad that Melba was always early. “What’s wrong Fio.” Melba always knew when something was bothering me. That was why I loved her. “Round the girls and bring them over to the classroom. She looked at the clock, you do know we have about ten minutes before we pick up the kids from the gym.” She added. “Today we will pick them up late or they can send them over. I need to speak to all of you.” I said. “Okay,” she left the room. The girls walked into my room. Zulema, Sara, Patty, and Melba “What’s up Fio?” Patty asked. “Okay, you all know what tomorrow is right.” I asked. Melba looked at me, everyone else didn’t know. I had forgotten that part. “It’s February 28 your birthday.” She said. “What?” all the girls said in unison. “Yeah! Well, I don’t celebrate my birthday. I haven’t in the past five years.” “Wow! Why not” Patty asked. I didn’t want to tell them the whole story so I opted for a simple version. “My only nephew died on my birthday.” I said. The girls just looked at me. “So what’s the problem?” Zulema said which was quite a blessing for me. “Well since I haven’t celebrated my birthday for five years I am going to have to celebrate it this Saturday.” I said. “And why is that?” Melba wanted to know. “I was trying to chase away Fred, my neighbor from a Saturday thing, and he kind of invited himself to a non-existing party.” “Okay who is this Fred and how the hell are you meeting so many men in such a short time and where can I get some of what you got.” Patty added. “Long story and we don’t have time.” I need to know if I can count on you guys for Saturday.” I asked. “Okay, first things first where are we going to have this social gathering. I was thinking of my condo. About maybe five tenants are living there and they have a nice gazebo near the pool with grills and tables and sort. I just have to call the manager and see if it is available and if we invite the two other tenants we might not have a problem. “Okay, these tenants are single right.” Patty asked. “The other two tenants are women.” I said. “How do we do this?” I have no idea. I sat down. I saw the clock and the time was ticking quickly. I knew the kids would soon be joining us. “Okay, here is the thing.” “Don’t worry about anything Fio” Melba said. “I’ll take care of the food. I have a friendly chef who will be gratuitously cooking for tomorrow’s event. He owes me a favor. I’ll call him and see if he can do it for us. Patty, don’t you have a friend who works at a liquor store, maybe they can hook us up with a beer keg or bottles.” I’ll call him right away. “I have a friend who is a D.J. and we can invite the guys that we met at the dance on Saturday.” Sara added. “Ah, I’d have to think about that one. Remember Roger.” I said. “That’s right.” Melba said. “Besides I have a date with him tonight. If everything goes well I would think about it.” I said to them. I didn’t want the girls to know that I was going to let Roger down and probably never see him again. “Look Fio, don’t worry we’ll get this party going and will invite friends over and you’ll have the best birthday party ever. I do believe it’s time to celebrate.” She said with her hands up in the air. We all started to laugh but stopped abruptly because the students were already joining us in the classroom. I decided to give my students time with the iPads only if they allowed me to do a couple of calls. The first one was to Mr. Martinez the manager of the Dorel Apartment Complex. “Mr. Martinez this is one of the owners of condo number 28. I was just wondering if the recreation area is available for this Saturday.” Miss Pena, the recreation area hasn’t been used since it was constructed and it sure is available this Saturday are you planning a party? He asked. “Actually, yes my birthday.” I said. “Am I invited?” he asked. Okay, that was weird did I want to invite the manager. I paused for a moment, I can get it ready for you and you don’t have to do a thing. Lights and everything” he said. “How old are you?” I asked. I didn’t want to invite some old decrypted man. “I am twenty-eight years old and I have a couple of friends who would be interested in coming.” Twenty-eight didn’t sound bad and besides, if anything did happen he was the man to blame not me. “Okay, that’s fine.” “Great, I’ll have my friends bring something to the party as well.” “Thanks, Mr. Martinez. “Call me Joe, I’ve seen you around. You’re that girl with the Ram truck.” He asked me. “Yeah!” Okay gross I didn’t want the manager hitting on me. “Well, I’ll see you tomorrow, and thanks again.” “Yeah see you.” He said. During the day the girls would come in and give me updates if they were able to get the things they promised. Sara was the first to say that the D.J. would be there around 6:00 and wanted to know if someone was going to be there. I called Mr. Martinez and he said he would. So that pretty much took care of that. Melba came by and said that her friend Pedro was excited to show off some new entrees he wanted to try in his restaurant but was afraid that no one was going to like them, so we were the guinea pigs for him. Melba said we didn’t care only that he provided everything. He said he would and would throw in a cake to boot. That was something I wasn’t looking forward to. By the end of the day, everything had been set for Saturday’s event. I only had to look forward to my date with Roger this evening.
I looked at the text I had gotten in the morning. I hadn’t remembered until I was sitting in the truck. Melba was yet to come out and as I waited I had a chance. I need to see you tonight it read. I looked at the number it was one that I didn’t recognize. I text back Who are you? I turned on the radio and placed my favorite country station. The text came in at that time. The one that gives you several orgasms. It read. I laughed. It was Diego. Only you can. How did you get my #? I sent it back. While you slept, needed to see if you were okay. He texted I m fine. About tonight I can’t see you. I have plans. Is this about your date? He texted back. NOYB. I texted back. ? No anchor names, I want you to type it out. It’s as if I am talking to you. He texted. None of your business! Is this better? I text back Better. And you are my business. He texts back. I was about to text him about how it wasn’t but Melba was already coming. I am about to drive and sorry but I can’t, not tonight. Please understand. I texted back, saved his number, and placed it in my console. I heard the sound of another text coming thru but this time I didn’t bother to look at it. I dropped off Melba in her home, but before she closed the door to my truck she said. “I’ am glad you're celebrating your birthday Fio, this just means you’re moving on and everything will come out right.” She said and closed the door. I was glad that my friend had more confidence in me than I did.
