Padgett's POV.

Later that day, social welfares handle me over to the Adrian's since I am not up to eighteen and I got no fucking family, I really don't have an idea of my dad, the only thing I knew, was that my dad died a long time ago. The Adrian's where the only family available to take me in, if not I would had ended up in a foster home.

Finally the maid was done arranging my room, everything was in order. I walked into the room, I looked around, even though the room was beautiful and perfectly arranged more than my old room. I just still find it hard to believe that I lost my mommy and I no more in my house but here in same house of the one person I don't want to see again, my eyes are still looking red and swollen from the unstoppable tears, it even hurt more that I will never see my mommy anymore.

The door opened, I immediately wiped the slow tears rolling down my eyes, I turned and saw Cameron coming in.

"Hey..." Cameron called gently and I move back, I just don't want to come closer to him, I want to avoid him like a plague even though I live here in his house, I don't want people talking about me, I got tired of the names calling all because of him

Padgett, stop it, I am not going to hurt you. Cameron stopped walking closer to me, as he speak

I don't want to talk to you nor anyone, can you at least respect my decision for once? I asked

"Are you okay? You cried a lot, do you feel sick anywhere? You should stop, I really don't want you to fall sick. Cameron asked

"I will take care of myself please leave me alone" I muttered and lay on the bed

Cameron sighed and gently walked out of my room, I opened my eyes and started crying again. I was missing everything already, my room, my home, especially my mommy.

I want to go back there, I am sure my mommy will come back, she will definitely comes back. My inner self refused to let me rest, as the tears kept rolling down my eyes

The door suddenly opened again and I closed my eyes instantly pretending to be sleeping. I was expecting Mrs Adrian to turned around and leave but she didn't she sat down beside me on the bed and began stroking my hair, those fingers felt like my mommy's fingers

I love you baby, I love you so much, even though your mommy is no more here, I will always be here for you, I will be your new mommy,from now on I will never let anyone hurt you nor make you cry... Mrs Adrian kept talking and stroking my hair, it's just like those days that I spend in the hands of my mommy, her voice sounded like my mommy's, in a few seconds I finally was able to sleep

Cameron's POV

I was looking half dead as I stared at the door of the room Padgett is, I found it hard to control the amount of sadness I was feeling, it was still like a dream to me, I can't believe that aunty Pearl is gone and Padgett is hurting but I am not there to console her, she doesn't want to see me, I stand there staying at the door, I know she must be crying, I know she and aunty pearl are very close, it will be difficult for her to forget her, I was about going to her room when mom, walked towards her room, I watch mom go into her room

I waited for her to come out, after she go inside, in some few minutes, I found out that she is out.

Mom! How is she? Is she fine? Have she...

Cameron, you don't expect her to be fine, although, she is acting all fine but I know she needs all the support to live with the fact that her mommy is no longer here, so I want you to see her like a sister and treat her right, you always take care of her.

I know mom! I said heading to her room

You should go to bed, let her rest. I sighed as I turned around then go back to my room, as I sat down, I took my phone and texted her

I kept on texting but she never replied any of my messages, I sighed in frustration as I dropped my phone on the bed, ruffling my hair behind

The next morning, Creamy didn't go to school, I know she can't go to school, I wanted to skip school but mom didn't allow me, so I asked that nanny Nancy prepare something special I want to give it to Padgett.

l was in my room all through the morning, I really don't want to see Cameron, I saw all his calls and texts but it hurts to think that I am avoiding him because right now, he is the only one, I am comfortable with but the truth is, I should distance myself for him, I know when I get to eighteen, I will be able to leave this place and I will forget all about him and move on with my life

When I realized he had left, I came out of the room.

Morning dear! You should have some milk and cereal first, Mrs Adrian had informed your principal that you will missed school for the week and not to worried master Cameron will fixed your project.
