My eyes didn't leave her, I was waiting for her to say something but not a word is coming out, I was about pulling her hands when Cathy's voice came up.

Come on, we can talk about that during lunch, let's go..

Actually I have to meet up with someone I’ll pass… she said, her face is one that is not sure, she wanted to sit at the same table with us for the next 20 minutes

Eating lunch alone with Cathy felt suffocating, I really wasn't able to enjoy my meal, I really don't know the reason but I felt empty again, it's a good thing that the lunch ended fast and right now, I am in with my basketball team. I am right here at the basketball court

Padgett's POV

Lunch break wasn't really that boring since I spent it with Emerald and some other girl that emerald had made friends with, among the two of us, emerald is the one that easily make friends, we ended up with the dancing club, I almost forget about my fight with Cameron

Then I remembered that Newton, asked me to come watch the basketball game, I was excited to go watch because I know Cameron love to play basketball but it's too late, the game was already over when I got there and to crown it all, I saw Cameron punching Newton, I have no idea what happened earlier or who started it but the truth is, I was too judgemental, Emerald look at me, cause right now, I hate myself for what I did.

Can you stop sulking already? I am sure now that we’re alone and you taking side with Newton, will really hurt Cameron feelings. Do you think Cameron was jealous? Emerald asked me.

Of cause not, he must probably be just angry that I avoided him and I took side with Newton, I really don't know what's up with those two and what possess me to care more about Newton than Cam

No, that will only make him more suspicious. You know, the most annoying part of it all, Cathy seems like such a nice person; she’s beautiful; caring and even well mannered. When school hours comes to an end, just like every other day, everyone would be slamming their lockers and friends would walk out heading home but this time I really don't know if I should wait up for Cameron or simply walk home since I have told him that I have someone else to take me.

I intentionally stay behind for time to passed after Emerald left but when I couldn't waste any more time I had to head to the parking spot, I could explain that Cameron was busy in the morning, that is the reason, he did not take me to school this morning but explaining why I had to walk home would be very difficult to everyone nosing about my life

I headed to the parking garage and Cameron's car was in sight but there was something else there.
