Chapter 709: Chapter 709
The next day, after Yvette woke up, she felt much better and went downstairs to have breakfast.
Estelle and Caleb were being very obedient, one poured her milk while the other spread jam on her bread.
"Aunt Yvette, please eat."
Yvette’s lips curled up slightly, "Thank you both."
She had slept quite soundly last night, and her emotions had stabilized, all thanks to the company of these two children.
Eleanor looked at Yvette and said, "I will arrange for you to go to Aethelgard soon; Moira is there."
Yvette was of course eager to go, yet something crossed her mind, and she asked, "Eleanor, will they really be alright?"
"Yes, I’ve already asked Master to keep an eye on them. Don’t worry, nothing will happen."
After hearing this, Yvette finally felt assured and began eating her breakfast.
Eleanor thought about how Ronan came over last night and seemed unwilling to leave. She wasn’t sure if he was still around, but she had to ensure that he didn’t cause trouble when she sent Yvette off.
So, she stood up and said, "You all eat first; I have something to take care of."
Eleanor looked at Estelle and Caleb, instructing, "Keep an eye on Yvette."
Estelle: "Okay, Sister Eleanor, I will definitely take good care of Aunt Yvette." Tʜe sourcᴇ of thɪs content ɪs novel•fire.net
Caleb: "Mommy, don’t worry."
Only then did Eleanor go upstairs to find Alaric.
In the study, Alaric had just finished a phone call when Eleanor coincidentally walked in.
"You’re here just in time; there’s something I need to tell you."
"What is it?" Eleanor raised an eyebrow.
"Last night, Ronan was out in the rain all night. Perhaps the shock was too great, and he passed out; I’ve temporarily had him sent to the hospital."
Eleanor sneered, "Serves him right! For what he’s done, death wouldn’t even be sufficient punishment."
She now had no good feelings for Ronan; standing in the rain for a night was hardly enough to make amends for all he’s done.
"While he’s passed out in the hospital, let’s quickly send Yvette away to avoid him pestering her again."
Alaric stepped forward, "Alright, I’ll arrange it immediately."
After considering for a moment, Eleanor coldly laughed, "Let’s go visit Ronan in the hospital."
Upon hearing this, Alaric was somewhat taken aback.
He doubted Eleanor was kind-hearted enough to visit Ronan; more likely, she wished she could tear him to pieces.
"What are you going to do?"
Eleanor scoffed lightly, "Naturally, I want Ronan to handle Claire’s affairs properly, meanwhile distracting him so he won’t cling to Yvette."
Soon after, the person arriving to pick up Yvette came.
Eleanor had Estelle and Caleb accompany Yvette back to Aethelgard, while she and Alaric went to the hospital.
In the hospital, Ronan felt much better after receiving IV fluids.
Eleanor and Alaric pushed the door open and entered.
Ronan looked at the two of them, a fleeting disappointment visible in his eyes, and Eleanor couldn’t help but sneer.
Why would he be disappointed? Ridiculous! Could he really have thought she’d bring Yvette to see him? Such a ploy wouldn’t work on her.
"I’ve already sent Yvette away; I don’t want you to find her, and you won’t."
Ronan’s voice was hoarse, "I..."
Eleanor crossed her arms over her chest and said, "If you truly feel guilty, then deal with Claire’s issue properly and ensure she receives the punishment she deserves.
You were ruthless enough towards Yvette back then; surely you won’t be tender-hearted now?"
Ronan’s expression darkened, and he clenched his fists tightly.
Once he dealt with everything, he planned to personally seek redemption from Yvette, and whatever she decided to do to him then, he would have no complaints.
