Chapter 451: Chapter 451

Although Eleanor Sterling felt a bit tired, she couldn’t really fall into a deep sleep in an unfamiliar environment.

In a groggy state, she heard the sound of flowing water and opened her eyes.

The sound became clearer.

Eleanor Sterling propped herself up and looked toward the bathroom, quickly realizing there was someone inside.

Before she could get out of bed, the bathroom door clicked open, and Alaric Faulkner stepped out in a bathrobe.

His hair was still damp, beads of water dripped and disappeared into his collar, exuding a kind of ascetic allure.

"You... why are you here?"

Alaric Faulkner slowly curled his lips, "Shouldn’t I be the one asking you that?" He paused, "Why are you in my room? Getting a head start on experiencing married life?"

Eleanor Sterling was speechless.

The room was arranged for her by the Faulkner Family’s servant. She had always assumed it was a guest room, not expecting it to be Alaric Faulkner’s room!

"I didn’t know... I’ll switch to another room now." Eleanor said and directly flung off the blanket, intending to get out of bed and leave.

Unexpectedly, Alaric Faulkner walked over, blocking her next move and pressing her back down.

"Eleanor being this proactive is nice, I like it. Since you’re settled, there’s no need to leave."

Once a prey has entered his trap, there’s no escaping.

Eleanor Sterling couldn’t explain herself even if she tried, she really hadn’t!

Alaric Faulkner made no further moves, maintaining a gentlemanly demeanor, merely wrapping his arm around Eleanor Sterling’s body.

He even kindly tucked her in, "Weren’t you going to sleep? Go ahead and continue."

These past few days, Eleanor Sterling was exhausted dealing with Estelle Sterling’s matters, Alaric Faulkner noticed the dark circles under her eyes and his gaze flickered with a hint of pain.

Eleanor Sterling couldn’t help but roll her eyes, could she actually sleep now? In such a scenario, she wasn’t feeling sleepy at all.

The pleasant scent of Alaric Faulkner’s body wash continuously invaded her senses, making her feel completely unable to focus.

"Can’t sleep? Need some help?" The man asked softly.

Before Eleanor Sterling could reply, he lowered his head and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, carrying a soothing effect.

Seeing Eleanor Sterling staring wide-eyed at him, Alaric Faulkner chuckled softly and said, "Not enough?"

He looked at her eyes, bright like stars, then brushed the hair from her cheek behind her ear, cupped her face, and leaned down again to kiss the corner of her lips.

The kiss was still light, without any ulterior motives, and after pulling away, he spoke in a deep, enchanting voice, "Sleep now."

Alaric Faulkner covered her eyes with his hand, blocking the light glowing in her dark eyes.

Is this what they call soothing to sleep? More like making it impossible for her to sleep.

Eleanor Sterling was very helpless, she had stepped into a trap, slept in his room, and now she couldn’t even move, trapped by him on the bed.

In the end, she could only close her eyes and try to sleep, although she thought she wouldn’t be able to, surrounded by a familiar scent, she surprisingly drifted off.

In her dream, she saw Caleb Faulkner.

Caleb Faulkner came running to her side, affectionately holding onto her, then Faye Sterling took him away, scolding her for stealing her son.

Eleanor Sterling watched as Caleb Faulkner was carried away by Faye, his mouth continuously shouting Eleanor mummy, stretching his arms towards her for a hug.

Seeing this scene made Eleanor Sterling’s heartache like a knife cut, anxious and unable to do anything.

Her breathing gradually became more rapid...

Eleanor Sterling suddenly opened her eyes, breaking free from the nightmare that trapped her, her view still filled with Alaric Faulkner’s chest. Follow current novᴇls on Nove1Fire.net

He had his eyes closed as well, seemingly asleep with her.

Eleanor Sterling shook her head, trying to clear her mind, curious as to why she would dream such a dream, was it because of staying at the Faulkner Family’s?
