Chapter 276: Chapter 276
The blood bank had arrived, and the three of them went in together.
Eleanor Sterling glanced around at the surroundings.
Outside the blood bank, there were many armed guards, stationed almost every ten steps.
This kind of strict security was so tight that even a fly couldn’t get through, ensuring utmost safety.
The staff saw Jasper Faulkner come again and looked perplexed.
Hadn’t he just finished drawing blood recently?
Jasper Faulkner spoke up, "I brought some friends over to have a look. You can carry on; don’t mind us."
Seeing this, the staff said no more and turned back to their duties.
The three of them walked around casually, touring various work areas where several staff members were busily moving about.
Eleanor’s mind wandered, silently noting: As expected of the Faulkner Group, the blood bank was almost identical to her laboratory.
Her laboratory had taken her years of effort to build single-handedly.
After all, it was Faulkner Family’s lifeline; surely a lot of thought went into this blood bank as well.
Finally, the three arrived at the cold storage.
This was where the blood was stored.
Eleanor opened the door and went in.
There were racks upon racks, filled with specially designed preservation boxes.
Dylan Lawson, in charge of the blood bank, noticed Eleanor staring at the boxes and began to explain.
"These boxes are categorized; this row belongs to President Faulkner, this row is for the second young master, and this one is for Little Yi."
Eleanor nodded, her gaze fixing on the rack labeled with Jasper Faulkner’s name.
Blood specimens were sorted by storage duration; in a -30℃ preservation box, they could be kept for one year; in a -65℃ box, for ten years.
That was too long for her, so Eleanor looked towards the 2-6℃ preservation boxes.
She opened one and took out a bag of blood.
It had a label with Jasper Faulkner’s name on it.
Eleanor’s eyes grew intense.
She spoke nonchalantly, asking, "Can I have a bag of blood?"
Dylan looked at Eleanor curiously, full of doubt, "Sister-in-law, what do you need the blood for?"
"For research," Eleanor offered a casual excuse.
She wasn’t worried they wouldn’t believe her; either way, she was determined to take the blood today.
Jasper Faulkner, upon hearing, suddenly understood.
"Ah! I get it! Are you planning to apply to Aethelgard College of Medicine as well?"
Faye Sterling was always talking about applying to the medical college, so Jasper instinctively thought Eleanor wanted to go too.
"Yes." Eleanor did not deny it.
Neither of them suspected anything, assuming it was for medical college purposes.
Jasper generously asked, "Will one bag be enough?"
Eleanor lightly cleared her throat and said, "That’s enough, I don’t need so much."
Having achieved her goal, Eleanor didn’t linger.

After they had gone, two staff members huddled together, "Master, they shouldn’t have discovered that I mislabeled the blood last time, right?"
The man glared at him, "I’ve told you to be careful! Making such a big mistake—it’s a relief it wasn’t discovered, or you’d be in serious trouble."
The person hurriedly lowered his head, looking scared, "I just did an inventory, and the batch that Miss Sterling took was the one with the labeling mistake."
Hearing this, the man narrowed his eyes and nervously asked, "Did they say what they’re going to do with it?"
"I think they mentioned something about applying to a medical college."
"Then it’s fine," the man sighed in relief.
He patted the shoulder of the person across from him, "You need to focus more from now on; mistakes must not happen again."
"Exams these days are really peculiar; is research into rare blood types part of this year’s analysis?" the man muttered as he walked away.
