Chapter 254: Chapter 254
Eleanor Sterling was in trouble.
She never thought that her spur-of-the-moment decision would lead to her being mistaken for a fraud and kicked out by The Hayes Family.
After her plane landed, Eleanor didn’t go to a hotel; she headed straight to The Hayes Family.
Usually, when someone invited her to perform surgery, they would host her in their home and treat her warmly.
But unexpectedly, because Liam Keene wasn’t around, she appeared too young.
The Hayes Family couldn’t associate her with the world-renowned doctor Sally and believed she was just there to scam them for food and lodging.
Harriet Zimmerman was in the living room, listening to the servant report that a young woman outside claimed to be Dr. Sally.
Harriet’s face showed arrogance, her eyes full of disdain, and her voice was slightly sharp.
"Dr. Sally? She clearly said the surgery would be delayed, she’s definitely a fraud seeking us out now."
Eleanor could never have imagined that in her attempt to avoid Alaric Faulkner, arriving early in Aethelgard would lead to such situations.
Blanche Hayes wore a mocking expression, "Mom, we’re not just any ordinary family. It’s normal for people to come wanting to scam us for food and drink."
Harriet turned to the servant and said, "Did you kick her out? People like that must never be let in."
The servant looked troubled and said, "Madam, Miss, she insists she’s Dr. Sally and insists on seeing you."
Eleanor was so beautiful that the servant couldn’t bring herself to say anything malicious.
She wanted to persuade her to leave, but Eleanor wouldn’t go.
So, she could only report to Harriet.
Blanche’s face darkened, "Mom, she’s really shameless, wait here, I’ll go kick her out!"
Having said that, Blanche stormed to the door in anger.
She intended to scold Eleanor, but at the moment she saw Eleanor, all her words of insult were swallowed back.
Blanche was the treasured daughter of The Hayes Family in Aethelgard, raised with care since young, her demeanor and looks were outstanding.
But she didn’t expect Eleanor to be even more beautiful, her aura completely overshadowing her own.
If someone said Eleanor was a noble lady from Aethelgard, probably people would believe it.
A hint of jealousy flashed in Blanche’s eyes.
Her face instantly turned dark.
A fraud with such looks made her want to ruin it.
After a moment of silence, Blanche haughtily snorted, "You’re the one posing as Dr. Sally?"
Eleanor replied calmly, "I am Sally."
"How ridiculous! You’re Sally? Can’t even draft a lie, scamming us Hayes.
Scram! Don’t wait until I get a broom to chase you away."
Eleanor remained silent.
"Alright, I hope you won’t come begging me in the future."
After speaking, Eleanor turned around and left.
Blanche looked contemptuously at her back and snorted, "Beg you? Such a sham!
Assistant Keene’s phone isn’t reachable, he hasn’t even come to Aethelgard, how could you be Dr. Sally."
After leaving The Hayes Family, Eleanor helplessly dialed Liam Keene’s number but found no one answering.
It was then Eleanor remembered he was probably on a flight, and it took a while to fly to Aethelgard from his side.
Looks like she’ll have to find a place to stay.
But after flying all day, it was late, and she wondered if there were any vacant hotels to be found last minute.
Dragging her luggage, Eleanor took out her phone to call for a ride, but after half an hour, Eleanor grew irritated.
Had she run into bad luck today?
No one was taking her ride request!
Thinking back to when she took a taxi from the airport, because The Hayes Family villa was so remote, she had to double the price for a driver to agree to come, and now she had a headache. Discover more novels at N0veI.Fiɾe.net
