Chapter 187: Chapter 187

Caleb interrupted, "Grandma, don’t blame Mom, Dad got hurt because he was trying to save Estelle."

Mrs. Faulkner’s face was cold as she commanded, "You are not allowed to speak for this woman!"

Who could have imagined that Caleb would be so manipulated by Eleanor to this extent, always defending her.

Not only coaxing him to call her ’Mom’, but he wouldn’t even listen to his own words.

"Hmph! Stubborn Grandma, I’m not talking to you anymore!"

Caleb snorted coldly and ran to the side, seeing Estelle waving at him.

Faye lowered her eyes, a calculating expression in her gaze.

If Eleanor can’t be dealt with at the press conference, she can be locked up for now; a sinister gleam flashed in her eyes as she spoke.

"Grandma, Eleanor deliberately hurt Alaric. I think we should arrest her, so if anything happens to Alaric, we won’t have to worry about her running away."

Mrs. Faulkner gave a cold snort, "Eleanor is lowly, Alaric is noble, even if she paid with her life, it wouldn’t be worth Alaric!"

At her words, she instructed Jasper, "Jasper, call Director Sawyer immediately and have him send someone over to arrest Eleanor for me!"

Jasper was a bit helpless, "Mom."

"Go quickly!" Google seaʀᴄh novelfire.net

Jasper could only resign himself and went aside to make the call, but he instructed them to merely take her away temporarily and to treat her well.

After all, this woman had made the usually rational Alaric do such irrational things; he didn’t dare move lightly.

Hearing that Mrs. Faulkner really intended to have Eleanor arrested, Faye slowly curled her lips, her smile sinister and smug.

If Eleanor really went to jail, she would be serving time for ages.

Mrs. Faulkner certainly wouldn’t let her off easily.

At this point, Dylan had everything prepared and returned.

Seeing Mrs. Faulkner and Faye already there, he said, "The backup blood is ready, and I’ve already called a surgeon to perform the operation to remove the dagger from Alaric, but it might take a while."

His area of expertise wasn’t in this field, so he’s not as skilled.

Eleanor looked up, "Remove the dagger? I know a doctor who can help."

Faye sneered, "Eleanor, stop pretending to be kind. What good doctor could you possibly know? We should wait for Dr. Lawson to bring in the expert."

Before anyone else could say anything, Dylan’s phone rang, and he took it out to answer.

"Hello, what! Chief Li got into a car accident? Okay, you send him to the hospital first."

After hanging up, Dylan said in frustration, "Trouble never comes alone, the surgical expert got into a car accident!"

"Then what should we do now? Alaric can’t have anything happen to him." Mrs. Faulkner was anxiously pacing around.

"If worse comes to worst, I’ll have to do it myself; it’s just a bit risky," Dylan responded.

As they exchanged words, Eleanor frowned and spoke, "I suggested a doctor to come over and remove the dagger."

Faye glared at her in displeasure, "Eleanor, stop messing around. Even Dr. Lawson thinks it’s risky; what kind of quack doctor do you know with any skills?"

She sighed, "It’s a shame I haven’t even started medical school yet; otherwise, I would definitely be able to help Alaric."

Eleanor sneered, Faye really thought highly of herself, assuming that just because she got into medical school she could perform surgery.

With a cold tone, she said, "Quack doctor? Do you know who this doctor I know is?"

"Who? Could it possibly be someone famous? Like you’re capable of calling in any good doctors."

Eleanor said softly, "Sally."

"What!" Dylan’s face shifted slightly, surprised, "You know Sally, Eleanor? The one known as ’God’s Hand’ Sally?"
