Chapter 543: Chapter 543
Underneath both hands, his face remained unchanged, but his heart was full of alertness.
Justin Kingston stopped and looked back, he slightly parted his thin lips, "Wait for me downstairs, I’ll be down in less than half an hour." His voice was low and calm.
As soon as he finished speaking, he resumed walking. Read complete version only at novel·fiɾe·net
Half an hour... This was an important timeframe, Mr. Kingston was hinting at something.
Justin thought, even if there was something in the wine, with his composure, half an hour wouldn’t be a problem.
The men didn’t force their way, in sync, they raised their wrists to check the time and noted this point.
The layout of the villa’s second floor was perfect, and the maid led Justin to a room a little far from the stairs.
She raised her hand and knocked on the door, reporting, "Miss, Mr. Kingston has tasted the fruit wine, and I’ve brought him up."
The door opened to reveal a young maid who politely bowed, "Mr. Kingston, please come in." She then exited herself.
The door was open, and Justin saw that the room was large, arranged warmly and dreamily.
He stepped inside, treading on the expensive carpet, a faint fragrance of perfume filled the air.
As he stepped in, he saw the girl leaning against the head of the bed.
A blonde-haired girl held a "Bible" in her hands, wearing a white lace long-sleeved nightgown, hearing the footsteps, she raised her eyes, beautiful as sapphires.
Then, the bedroom door softly closed.
Justin glanced back, he said nothing, and when he looked forward again, he found the girl’s calm gaze still fixed on his face.
"Hello, Mr. Kingston."
The girl’s voice was not loud, a bit hoarse, as if her vocal cords were damaged.
Justin walked towards her, stopping at the bedside, "You must be Miss Emily, right?" He was very polite, also very gentlemanly.
Even though he drank the fruit wine she arranged, there was no reaction in his body, yet he remained vigilant.
"Yes." The girl smiled, but her voice was even softer.
Justin asked her, "What happened to your vocal cords?"
"Come a little closer, or you won’t hear." Emily seemed to struggle as she spoke to him, then reached to touch her neck, "I allow you to sit at the edge of the bed."
A fleeting, indiscernible emotion flitted through the man’s deep eyes.
Emily, under the pink quilt, gazed at him calmly, "What do you want to ask? I’ll give you five minutes because I can’t talk for too long."
Justin nodded, not wanting the conversation to be too difficult, so he sat at the edge of the bed.
Looking into her eyes, he gently inquired, "You’re Johnson’s daughter, someone like him, an outstanding accessory designer, would record every piece he created, right?"
"Of course." The girl raised the corners of her lips slightly, facing his gaze, she deliberately lowered her voice, "As his only daughter, I inherited all his belongings, including that record book."
A glimmer of light flashed in Justin’s deep eyes; this was the information he needed!
Their eyes met, the girl’s smile deepening at the corners of her lips, "Come over here." Her throat was hoarse.
To see the book sooner, Justin leaned forward, approaching her, "Can I borrow it for a look?"
"Close your eyes first." The girl’s voice was not loud, but her watery eyes shone with a playful glint.
Justin looked at her, hesitating for a few seconds.
"I just want to look at you." She was unreserved, "I want to see up close what the man who drives millions of women crazy really looks like."
"I want to see you with your eyes closed." Emily smiled as she asked, "Mr. Kingston wouldn’t refuse such a simple request, would he?"
Justin didn’t want to spoil her mood, so he calmly closed his eyes, his breathing steady.
Emily observed his features closely, there was a chilly serenity between his handsome eyebrows, the lines of his features contained a hint of cold hardness, this aloof aura was incredibly fascinating to her.
She leaned forward, also moving closer, whispering in his ear, "That record book is in Eldoria."
Justin opened his eyes, turning to see that the girl was so close, it seemed their noses could almost touch.
