Chapter 78: Chapter 78

Chapter 78 Recruiting Talents

"Chairman James, you are definitely the most special one I have ever met. " Bruce Henley could not help but give Martin James a thumbs up.

Bruce had met a lot of chairpersons and bosses but most of them were wearing a famous brand. He had never seen a chairman like Martin who just wore very ordinary clothes and did not even have a branded watch. The key was that those chairpersons and bosses were far worse than Martin! It made Bruce voice his admiration for Martin.

At this moment, Martin smiled at him and said, "Bruce, are you interested in working for our Gold Group?"

"To... work for the Gold Group?" Bruce was taken aback. He certainly did not expect this question from him.

"Yes, the position for personnel manager is still open. As for the salary, no matter how much you received before, I will triple it for you!" Martin said with a grin.

Bruce could not help swallowing. The Gold Group was the most powerful in the state, and it was famous in the three provinces of California. Compared to the small company where he worked, Bruce did not know how many times he thought it was awesome!

"Mr. James, I am still in awe. I-I mean, can you tell me why?" Bruce asked blankly.

"Because I also admire you," Martin answered him with a smile.

Bruce did not know why but before, Martin in everybody's eyes was a poor young man. And Bruce was there who was willing to help a poor boy, even generously. On this basis alone, it was enough for Martin to judge Bruce's character. Such talents were rare. Since Martin had met him, how could he let such an opportunity go?

After a pause, Martin James continued, "In addition, I still have an identity. I am the grandson of Morgan Gracie. My future development is not just this little C City, but to California as well and even to the whole country. You can follow me, and you will be able to face the future."

"What? The-the grandson of Morgan Gracie?"

Martin just grinned while Bruce Henley swallowed in shock.

Of course, he knew that Morgan was the richest man in California, and he certainly knew what a legendary man Morgan is! He did not expect that Martin turned out to be his grandson. Such an identity was many times more powerful than the chairman of the C City branch of the Gold Group.

"Morgan Gracie's grandson?"

Even Janet Brown next to him was left dumbfounded. After hearing Martin's words, her eyes flickered with shock. She also knew who Morgan was! It was just because it was not right now, Janet did not ask him. She planned to ask Martin carefully about how it happened!

Martin patted Bruce on the shoulder and said, "I believe that if you come to Gold as the HR manager, you will surely be able to take good care of the people for me, get rid of the mouse shit, and call in more good employees. How about it, are you willing to accept the position?"

"I-I do!" Bruce Henley nodded excitedly.

The boss of Bruce's current small company was in gloom. Bruce wanted to resign, anyway. Now that such a big opportunity fell on him, he certainly wanted to accept it immediately.

"Yes, you can report to Gold tomorrow and I will be introduced in the company," Martin said.

"Mr. James, thank you so much! If it weren't for your promotion, I might not have been able to join a large group like Gold as a manager in my life." Bruce was very excited.

"Come on, it's no big deal. Work hard, the manager is just a start. As long as you do well, I promise you to have a lot of room for improvement!" Martin assured him with a smile.

"Mr. James, rest assured that I will do my best!" Bruce nodded vigorously while his eyes were firm.

At this time, the shop owner who heard the news ran in from the outside, and the owner was a fat man with a big stomach.

"Chairman James, I'm so sorry! I apologize to you!" The boss ran directly toward Martin and apologized to him again and again.

Obviously, this boss already knew what was going on here. The boss knew that Martin was angered. Of course, he was afraid because as long as he said a word, his shop could be kicked out of Gold Plaza, and he could even stop mixing in C City.

"You don't need to apologize. It's just that you hire people later, don't use that snobbery!" Martin said calmly.

"Yes, yes!" The boss nodded repeatedly.

"In addition, I bought this dress."

Martin pointed to the long lace skirt that was displayed alone.

"If Mr. James liked it, then I will give it to you. You don't have to pay for it, sir." The boss bowed and smiled.

"Do you think I don't have enough money to buy it?" Martin frowned.

"No! Of course not! It's not what I meant, Mr. James." The boss panicked.

"Since it's not. Then swipe the card and I will pay its $180,000 price. I don't need this much money." he said calmly.

Martin chose a few more clothes for Janet in the shop before handing the card to the boss. The boss took it and then the clothes he chose. The boss wrapped them up and handed them to Martin.

After leaving that store, they were planning to head toward the next shop.

"Come and follow me to the next store."

Martin motioned his hand and gestured to Wendell Micah and other executives to the store where Martin first entered.

After entering the store and seeing Wendell Micah's group of people, the employees in the store were also shocked by such a big battle. The manager of the store hurriedly greeted him with the staff.

"General Manager Micah! Why are you here?"

The manager was a middle-aged woman with dyed red hair. She had a flattering smile but her face was almost broken.

"We are here with Chairman James. He is the chairman of the C City branch of  Gold Group." Wendell said calmly.

"Chairman of Gold Group?!"

After they heard it, all of them were taken aback. They seemed to be startled by the news. Immediately afterward, they quickly looked at Martin and greeted him.

"Hello, Chairman James!"

Their attitude was of course, respectful, and even with a little fear. They were sure Wendell was not just kidding. He was the chairman of the Gold Group!

They asked themselves, he must be the most important figure they had seen with their own eyes!

"Now you are greeting and treating me like a fragile wine glass? Before I came in with my friends, you ignored me. This is ridiculous!" Martin sneered.

As soon as he said this, the manager and a few employees remembered. Twenty minutes ago, Martin seemed to have come in with the girl next to him. It was just that when they saw Martin wearing a full-length suit, he looked poor so they did not come to greet him at all.

After thinking of this, the manager and several employees suddenly showed fear.

"Chairman James, we-we didn't-"

"No need to explain! My time is precious. And I can't afford to waste it!"

Martin interrupted them. Immediately afterward, he turned his head to look at Wendell and ordered, "These shopkeepers and also the manager. Fire them all for me."

"Right away. Mr. James!" Wendell nodded in response.

"Wait, Mr. James. No!"

The manager and several shop assistants were all dumbfounded after hearing this.

"Let's go!"

Martin pulled Janet directly and walked out.

As for the begging voices of the shop assistants behind him, Martin did not bother to listen and did not bother to pay attention to them. Those dogs looked down on people. Whenever Martin encountered it himself, he was determined to teach them a lesson right there and then.

After leaving the store, Martin ordered Wendell to send a notice to all store employees in the Gold mall. Improve the quality and character of all employees and must not look at people with colored glasses. As long as there are kinds of employees who looked down at people as if they were some sort of garbage, they were resolutely fired after they would be discovered!

After shopping for the clothes, it was dark so Martin suggested having dinner on the first floor of the square.

Inside a restaurant on the first floor of Gold Plaza, Martin and Janet were in a window seat.

"Martin, can you at least tell everything to me now?" Janet asked, biting her red lips.

For the previous happenings, Janet had long wondered what was going on but Martin busy with the menu before he turned to her and elaborated.

He was sitting up and said seriously, "Janet, as you have seen and heard before, I am the chairman of the C City branch of the Gold Group and I am the grandson of Morgan Gracie, the richest man in California. I bought the sports car and the feast restaurant."

If he said this to her before, Janet might not believe him. But today in the mall, she saw those executives in the Gold Square who was respectful with the title Martin held! Chairman! This made Janet believe him!

After learning that Martin was the chairman of Gold, she finally understood why he could easily buy a restaurant and why he could afford nearly $10 million-worth supercars.

"Well, what about sponsoring the Gold Group before that, as well as the Gold Group helping my mother to treat her illness and sponsoring charity activities for my studies. Is it all related to you?" Janet looked at him seriously.
