Chapter 40: Chapter 40
Chapter 40 Teaching Punks A Lesson
The sound of the Lamborghini alone caused quite a stir in the streets, a crowd of people followed the noise as they stopped by to admire and take photographs with it.
They kept their eyes not only to the glamorous car right out front, but also to the thugs that were about to get into a fight with two well-known men. They've been terrorizing the whole neighborhood and it was about time for someone to teach them a lesson.
The crowd of onlookers talked and whispered to one another as they all started to feel relief from everything that was about to happen
While on the field, Zannon's once worried look was finally masked once more with a ferocious expression. He knew deep down that he could not act on what Martin forced him to do. However, he remained stubborn as he stared at Martin with disrespect.
"I know what you're thinking. People can't eat dog shit. But you see, there's nothing wrong with eating it as an animal like you." Martin sneered as he folded his arms.
"You may be right. But the dog jumps over the wall when it's in a hurry!" Zannon replied as he clenched his teeth and tightened his fists. He was finally enraged.
"I'm sorry but I don't know what you mean by that." Martin continued with a doubtful tone.
"It's very simple. Look, I've already apologized, yet you threw an uppercut on my face. What you did was unforgivable. So now have no choice, but to kill you and run away. There's three of you and seven of us right here. You won't stand a chance even if you wish for a goddamn miracle. No matter how good your family is, you won't find us!" Zannon said viciously as he took out the dagger from his waist.
Martin was frightened for a bit. However, he couldn't help but overthink on how the public would see this. If these thugs ever do something bad to them, they would be paying more than the price they should be facing right now. He was tempted to dare Zannon, but he couldn't risk losing his life so easily.
"Too bad. I would've spared your life somehow if you didn't treat us like this." Martin's eyes narrowed as he stated his words firmly.
Neil was hesitant. Once he noticed the dagger, he told Martin to just let it go and pay them off. If ever something happens to him, it would forever haunt his conscience as he was the reason Martin was right there in the first place.
Martin looked at Zannon with a chilling glance. "From the moment you took out that knife, you just wasted the opportunity to leave this place peacefully." He exclaimed.
"Boy, it seems that you are really not afraid of death. You gave us no choice. You came here and crossed us. We're not backing out without a fight!" Zannon shouted with pride.
The young people behind Zannon questioned Martin's identity. It was obvious that he wasn't just a simple rich man. Yet he was something more. He was someone who's in authority and should not be dared to touch by anybody else. However, they didn't hesitate to take out their weapons once Zannon called them out. Knowing that they were outnumbered, made them even more confident to take out a well-known person such as Martin. They would be all over the news and they would finally achieve that free publicity they've been wanting for a while.
The crowd gasped as they all noticed the dagger. Now filled with worry, they started to lose hope.
Neil 's face changed greatly when he saw this behind the scenes.
"Martin, Fatso, you two get out of here, and I'll stop them! You're here to help me, and I can't get the both of you harmed because of me!" He shouted.
"We're here to save you, not to ask you to save us." Martin replied with a smile.
At this very moment. Five Rolls Royce drove head-on to the road. The revving of these cars echoed throughout the whole neighborhood. Once they got closer, they directly parked right behind the Lamborghini. The doors opened at the same time as hundreds of uniformed security guards and henchmen got out of the vehicles and ran quickly to the scene.
The men were bewildered as they watched the strange men draw in closer to the fight. Zannon looked annoyed as suddenly these people interrupted the brawl he was about to begin.
"What's going on?! Who are you people?" He shouted on top of his lungs.
The men got closer as they filled in the place. It was a picturesque sight to see as the crowd started to spread the word all over the town.
"Chairman!" The head of security called out as they all bowed and planted their eyes on the thugs.
Zannon was dumbfounded when he saw this.
They did not expect that dozens of security guards and henchmen would suddenly just appear out of nowhere. Martin waved his hand as they all surrounded and cornered Zannon and his men.
"Yes, chairman!" They shouted in unison.
Just before Martin and Fatso arrived, he called the company and asked the head of security to send down some guards and henchmen to come to the door of the Moon Internet Bar.
Martin squeezed into the crowd. He watched the faces of the seven men shift into fear and despair. The fearlessness in their eyes vanished like a ghost. They knew that they no longer stood a chance to Martin and his back-up. Zannon even realized that as long as Martin gave out his orders, there would be people willing enough to stand by, follow or even sacrifice themselves for him.
The dagger in Zannon's hand fell to the ground. His hands trembled as it slipped his touch. He can no longer raise the slightest sense of resistance or perhaps gain back the threatening behavior he showcased a while ago.
In the next moment, Zannon fell on his knees and kept his head down as he begged for mercy. The young people behind him also knelt on the ground one after another. They dropped their weapons, bowed their head in fear and trembled as they kept their body on the ground.
"Are you expecting me to spare your life? After what you've done with my friend, you think I'm just going to let go of you that easy?" Martin narrowed his eyes, with a chilling look. "It's too late. If you wanted to be spared, you should've asked the moment I arrived." He said viciously.
Then, Martin gave an order.
"You've hit my friend. You did not just hurt him, but me as well. When someone inflicts pain on any of my friends, they shall never be able to walk on the grounds of this earth." He said coldly. "Teach them a lesson and all of you shall be rewarded!" Martin demanded as he walked out of the crowd.
The security guards directly waved their batons, while the henchmen took out their brass knuckles and rushed in altogether. Needless to say, in the next scene, the thugs were seen all beaten defenseless, wailing and desperately begging for their lives to be spared. Yet it was too late.
Everyone in the neighborhood witnessed the commotion. News started spreading in just a few minutes of this scene. They were all relieved that finally someone was able to stand up against these bullies. As for Neil, he couldn't help himself but feel ecstatic behind the pain. Although his bruises pierced, he was grateful to see Martin and Fatso once again. He never knew anyone else who he could ask for help. But he never expected as well that they would make such a grand entrance and help him.
"You're safe now. We got you." Fatso said to Neil as he and Martin helped him stand up on his feet.
"By the way, what's going on here? Why do you suddenly have a Lamborghini, Martin? And please explain the hundreds of security guards and henchmen." Neil chuckled in confusion.
"I'll tell you of that later. But for now, let's go and get something for dinner. You need your strength back after all that happened. We'll be taking care of you, so don't worry about that." Martin smiled as he patted Neil on the shoulder.
The fat man also let out a huge grin and said, "Yes, we were just having dinner when you called. There would be a ton of surprises, so I suggest you eat up first. It's going to be a long trip down memory lane."
The three of them happily left the building as they headed towards the Lamborghini for a ride back to the restaurant. Neil couldn't be happier to see his old friends back.
