Chapter 28: Chapter 28
Chapter 28 Injustice
"There have been more than 400 responses to Hardy's video, and the number is increasing rapidly. I'm afraid. I'm afraid that the whole school will know about it soon." Said the thin man.
"Shut up! Shut up!" Hardy Barrie yelled at the skinny man.
At this time, Hardy Barrie's eyes turned red, and he was about to explode with anger. If the whole school knew about it then how could he face the people?
Hardy Barrie felt that he was going crazy.
"Bastards! It must be your plan Martin James and Janet Brown! It must have something to do with you! If you have destroyed me like this then I will make you pay for it!" Hardy Barrie roared madly.
......
6:20 in the evening.
At the gate of C City University.
"Martin, you're here." Janet Brown was standing and was waiting patiently for Martin James. She immediately waved her hands and gave him a sweet smile as he saw him walking towards her.
"You're here so early." Martin James said as he walked up to Janet Brown.
They decided to meet at 6:30 in the afternoon, and it was only 6:20. It was a good thing that Martin James had thought that he should arrive ten minutes early.
Martin James didn't expect that Janet Brown would be earlier than him.
"I'm afraid that you'll be waiting for a long time." Janet Brown said with a smile.
After he heard this, Martin James couldn't help being stunned for a moment. Her words shocked him.
"Janet, there are very few girls like you who are so considerate of us men." Martin James couldn't help saying.
When Martin James used to have a relationship with Jessie, Martin James would arrive early whenever they had dates. But Jessie would always arrive late, sometimes she would take more than half an hour.
She also called it normal for girls to be half an hour late for an appointment, and that boys should have to wait.
As Martin James thought about it now, Jessie was nowhere near compared to Janet Brown. Janet Brown was afraid of making him wait for a long time and she was very considerate of him.
Janet Brown blushed when she heard Martin James said that she was considerate.
"Come on, I'm looking forward to taste your cooking." Martin James said with a smile.
Janet Brown usually rode the bus when she went home, which was the most economical way of transportation. While Martin James just followed Janet Brown as she led their way to the bus stop.
Martin James was used to go home by bus as he grew up poor. As for him, it was like a habit.
While on the bus.
Janet Brown suddenly held out her hands, pulled the corner of Martin James's shirt, then she smiled and whispered to him.
"Martin, the live post about Hardy Barrie in the webpage has nothing to do with you, is it?"
Because Janet Brown knew about the bet between Martin James and Hardy Barrie, that whoever loses will have to eat shit live and post it to the school web page. So as Hardy Barrie's live post suddenly appeared in the web page, which in Janet Brown's perspective, he couldn't have done it voluntarily.
Hardy Barrie was a tough guy and knew how to fight with all his strength.
So, who could force Hardy Barrie to broadcast that live? Janet Brown could only think of Martin James.
"Did you see it, too?" Martin James smiled.
"I don't want to watch that kind of video. I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to eat, but this video has gone crazy at school. Of course I know about it." Janet Brown said.
After a pause, Janet Brown said curiously.
"Martin, I'm really curious, what on earth did you do to get Hardy Barrie to really make a live broadcast like this? That should be very difficult."
"Well, I want to keep it as a secret." Martin James grinned.
Martin James didn't want to reveal his true identity to Janet Brown yet, so he couldn't tell her how he did it.
As for the reason why Martin James didn't want to reveal his identity, to put it simply, Martin James was afraid that when Janet Brown learned about his true identity, she would distance herself from him.
More importantly, Martin James wanted to get along with Janet Brown his ordinary identity. Under such circumstances, the friendship was the most real and commendable.
"All right."
Janet Brown didn't say anything didn't ask any more questions. But she felt that Martin James was keeping a secret.
The bus was so slow that it took more than an hour before it reached Janet Brown's house.
Janet Brown's home was in an old neighborhood from the 1990s.
After they have entered the community.
"Martin, I was supposed to invite you to dinner at the restaurant. Would you mind if I just asked you to come to my house for home-cooked food?" Janet Brown asked.
It's not that Janet Brown didn't want to invite Martin James to a restaurant. It's because she has no money and she couldn't afford going to the restaurant.
"Of course I don't mind. I'd rather try your cooking than eat in a restaurant. If you cook for me yourself, you'll show your sincerity better, won't you?" Martin James smiled.
"Hmm-hmm." Janet Brown nodded and was relieved.
"My house is already near." Janet Brown pointed ahead.
As soon as they arrived at Janet Brown's house, the door of her neighbhor was suddenly opened, and a middle-aged woman in pajamas came out. With a bag of rubbish in her hand, she was obviously taking out trash.
"Hey, Janet, why did you bring a strange man home?" The middle-aged woman glanced up and down at Martin James.
"Emily, he is my classmate." Janet Brown replied.
"Your classmate? Your guest doesn't look like your classmate, Janet Brown. You are so outrageous. How can you bring your John's home?" Middle-aged women stood up as if she was educating the youger generations.
When Janet Brown heard such words from a middle-aged woman. She was insulted.
"Emily! How can you slander me like that! I'm not that kind of person!" Janet Brown retorted with an aggrieved face.
Martin James also frowned.
This middle-aged woman called him as a John, Martin James could bear with it. But what she meant was also an indirect insult that Janet Brown was a prostitute, which made Martin James so insulted!
"Janet B, don't make excuses. I know you pick up customers to make money. I know you."
The middle-aged woman sported an old and nice posture, but her tone was strange.
"Emily! You!"
Janet Brown became more and more aggrieved when she heard this. Her eyes were a little red as if she was about to cry.
Martin James couldn't bear to watch her being insulted like that.
"What kind of a person are you?! I think you are nothing but a neighbor to Janet. Do you think it's good for you to slander the innocence of this girl?" Martin James frowned.
"How dare you use such a tone on me, young man! Do you know who our daughter is?" The middle-aged woman looked at Martin James with a domineering face.
"I don't care who your daughter is, you'd better leave us alone. Otherwise, you wouldn't afford the consequences!" Martin James' eyes narrowed slightly at the middle-aged woman.
"I can't afford it? This is really hilarious, just like you. How dare you say such a thing?" The middle-aged woman looked at Martin James' face up and down with her arms folded in her chest.
She saw Martin James dressed up shabbily and though that he was obviously poor. So she didn't take Martin James seriously at all.
"Martin. Don't argue with her." Janet Brown pulled Martin James.
Although Janet Brown was deeply insulted, she had received no less grievances over the years, so she could still hold on.
When Martin James saw Janet Brown pulled him, he stopped talking.
If Janet Brown didn't pull Martin James, he would have really wanted to slap this middle-aged woman in the face.
But the middle-aged woman didn't stop there.
"Janet Brown, you are the same year as our Zara, but you are so far behind her. Our Zara is now a manager. What do you think of yourself?" The middle-aged woman said in an insulting way.
The middle-aged woman was obviously showing off her daughter to Janet Brown, as well as she had belittled and mocked her.
"Emily, I have something to do. I'm going first."
After Janet Brown clenched her teeth and said this, she took out the key and opened the door. Janet Brown didn't want to quarrel with the middle-aged women any more.
At this time, another figure appeared in the door of the middle-aged woman.
Martin James looked closely and saw that she was a pretty young woman wearing heavy makeup, high heels and very revealing clothes.
"Daughter, are you ready to go to work?" The middle-aged woman asked the young woman with a smile.
Obviously, the young woman who came out of the house was the daughter of the middle-aged woman. She should be the Zara that the middle-aged woman just talked about.
When the young woman Zara saw Janet Brown and Martin James, she was stupefied for a moment, then smiled and said.
"Hey Jane, did you bring your boyfriend home?"
"What kind of boyfriend is he? He looks like a John to me." The middle-aged woman said in a malicious way.
When Zara heard what her mother said, she couldn't help covering her mouth as she chuckled.
"Mom, don't talk nonsense. This man's clothes are so shabby that I'm afraid he can't even come up with any money for whoring. How can he be a John? He obviously just wants to go whoring in the name of love!"
"Well, I think that's right." The middle-aged woman nodded.
Zara looked at Janet Brown with a disdainful smile and said.
"Janet, as we have been friends then let me give an advise, do not to choose such a poor boy as a boyfriend. You will have no future."
