Chapter 202: Chapter 202

Chapter 202 The Truth

Martin James glanced at the three men who knelt in front of him begging for mercy.

"I just gave you a chance, but you didn't cherish it!"

"Now, you'll all die!"

Two more shots rang out, and two men in black vests fell to the ground.

But Martin's third shot didn't come out.

Martin pulled the trigger of the pistol in a row, only to find that there were no bullets in it.

When Martin started with getting the gun, there were many bullets in it. After a series of previous use without adding bullets, Martin forgot about it.

"No bullets?"

The rest of the black vest man was laughing and standing up.

"Now that you're out of bullets, go to your death!"

The man in the black vest picked up the knife in his hand and rushed toward Martin.

Martin glanced and grabbed a stick next to him, ready to fight.

Andre also held the beer bottle in his hand. He was ready to fight together with Martin.

Just as the black vest man was about to rush up, a dart flew over and hit the black vest man directly in the head.

The man in the black vest fell to the ground with no breath.

Only his eyes were rolling round. They didn't know how he died.

Lone Wolf came in through the door. Apparently, the dart came from his hand.

Lone Wolf was outside, and saw that the situation was going bad. He naturally did what he needed to do!

Seeing the person died, Martin also breathed a sigh of relief. If he really fought with him, he only had a stick, and the other side is a knife, he couldn't think of what could happen.

After solving the problem, Martin quickly turned and ran to Larry.

"Martin, how do you... How could you have a gun?!" Larry gritted his teeth and his eyes were full of shock.

"Larry, don't talk. Let's talk later. Just hold on, I'll take you to the hospital!" Martin said.

"Andre, come on! Let's get Larry in the car! Martin turned to Andre.

"Okay!"

Andre hurried over with Martin to carry Larry into the car. They sped away to the hospital.

As for the body in the store, Martin called Steven Smedley of Gold Security to let him handle it.

At the hospital emergency room.

"Andre, what the hell is going on? Who the hell are those people?" Martin asked.

"Martin, I don't know. I was in the back room. I ran out when I heard the fight. I really don't know what was going on." Andre was helpless.

So, only his father who could tell what was going on.

Martin had no idea whether Andre's father could make it through.

"Hopefully, Larry will get through it." Martin prayed in silence.

"I'm sure my dad's going to make it through!" Andre gritted his teeth.

Andre turned to Martin.

"Martin, there must be someone behind these people. I don't usually ask for you, but this time, I beg you, please help us know who did this!" Andre's face was filled with anger.

"Don't worry, even if you don't. I'll avenge Larry, too!" Martin said.

Martin was outraged to see Larry's intestines poked out.

Martin killed those men on the spot, but that wasn't enough to calm his anger.

After several hours of operation, the doctor came out of the operating room.

"Doctor, how's it going?" Martin and Andre both stood up.

"The patient is out of danger, but he still needs to be taken care for a while." The doctor said.

Andre and Martin were relieved to hear that.

At the intensive care unit, Martin and Andre met Larry.

"Why did you two put me in the intensive care unit? Hurry up and change me to the general ward." Larry said.

Larry knew how high the cost of the intensive care unit was. He didn't even have the money for the surgery now.

"Larry, I've paid for everything. You don't have to worry." Martin said.

"Martin, it's tens of thousands of dollars at all costs. Where did you get so much money?" Larry looked surprised.

Larry didn't yet know the true identity of Martin. In Larry's eyes, Martin's family is poor, let alone they couldn't pay tens of thousands. Even the hundreds of dollars were hard to come up with.

Larry continued, "And Martin, you... How could you have a gun? You shouldn't take care of me, I'm not dead. If you kill them, they'll kill you." He said.

Larry shook his head and sighed. He didn't want to get worried of Martin.

"Dad, Martin is not the same now!" Andre said.

"Not the same? What do you mean?" Larry looked puzzled.

"Larry, you know Morgan Gracie, right?" Martin said.

"Morgan Gracie, the richest man in California? Chairman of the Gold Group? I know him." Larry nodded.

"He's my grandfather. I just got to know him some time ago. I haven't had time to tell you." Martin said.

"You mean... you're Morgan Gracie's grandson?" Larry's face was in shock.

"That's right!" Martin nodded.

"Martin, you... You didn't make fun of me, did you?" Larry looked confused.

"Larry, how can I lie to you?" Martin was serious.

Martin touched the key for the Lamborghini.

"Look, this is the key for my Lamborghini. If I were the poor boy that I used to be, I wouldn't be able to afford such a good car, would I?" Martin said.

Larry took a look. It turned out to be a Lamborghini car key.

"Larry, if you look at my account balance again, it can't be fake." Martin touched his phone and showed Larry his account bank balance.

"I-Is this a billion?"

Larry was taken a little by Martin's account balance.

"Dad, I can prove it too! Martin is the grandson of Morgan Gracie, the Chairman of Gold Group in C City, and now, it was passed to him by his grandfather." Andre said.

"I didn't expect that the grandson of California's richest man would be Martin." Larry took a breather.

Larry knew Martin. He knew that Martin wasn't a bragging type of person. There was evidence of account balances in front of him, so he chose to believe it.

"Good boy, since you're Morgan Gracie's grandson, you'll finally be able to suffer again. It's finally time to have a good life. I'm happy for you!" Larry smiled.

Larry had always regarded Martin as his own son. He was naturally delighted to see that he no longer had to live in poverty.

"Larry, if you say what the hell is going on today, about this thing, I'll help you in any way!" Martin had a firm tone.

"I need your help. I'll be honest. Those people today, they're going to the store to collect the protection fee. They're Mr. Edie's men. Every month, they come to collect protection fees, a thousand dollars per each time." Larry said.

"What? Mr. Edie? You mean Horace Edie?" Martin was surprised.

"Dad, why didn't you tell me about this?" Andre was also surprised.

"It's no use telling it to you. It will just add to your problems, so I haven't mentioned it." Larry said.

Larry continued, "Andre also knew that we intended to open a big supermarket near our house this year, which had led to a bad income in our small business. Now, we can barely make two or three thousand dollars a month, excluding rent and utilities."

"That's right." Andre nodded.

"When they came to collect the money today, they were going to increase the protection fee to two thousand. I told them about our suffering, but they didn't listen. They just smashed the shop. I stopped them from smashing the shop, so they stabbed me." Larry shook his head and said it.

"That's it!" Martin came to his senses.

Martin looked on him.

"Damn Horace Edie! How dare him to charge a protection fee! Two thousand a month? This shit was clearly robbing money!"

"Martin, even though you're Morgan Gracie's grandson now, Horace Edie is a ground snake." Larry was serious.

"Don't worry Larry. I can protect myself." Martin said.

During this time, Martin's mind had been on other things. He was coupled with Horace Edie's own little movement. He did not want to deal with him again.

Martin had a lot more power in his hands now than he did in the time he was just getting it. Martin James didn't eat up the patience of Horace Edie.

But now, with everything Martin had, he was confident enough to eat Horace Edie!

"This Horace Edie. It's time to find a way to kill him!" Martin squinted and muttered to himself.
