Chapter 187: Chapter 187
Chapter 187 One More Shot
Martin James's heart had beaten even faster after he heard those words.
"Miss Margery, are you doing this to get back at your boyfriend?" Martin James asked seriously.
After Delia Margery did not answer his question, Martin James continued, "If that's the case, Miss Margery, you really don't deserve him! You're depraved and you're ruining yourself."
Although Martin James's heart was racing because of Delia Margery's sweet words, he still did not want to take advantage of her.
"Maybe you're just a coward!"
When Delia Margery had finished saying those words, she released her grasp from Martin James and he had asked the bartender to bring her some wine.
"By the way, who is your boyfriend?" Martin James couldn't help but ask.
"Don't mention that bastard, okay? I don't want to talk about him!" Delia Margery said.
Martin James nodded and he didn't mention him again.
Suddenly, Martin James's cell phone rang.
Martin James, take a look at his. He saw that his grandfather was calling him.
The music there was deafening and it was obvious that the place was not suitable for answering a phone call.
"Miss Margery excused me for a while. I'm going to answer the phone," Martin James said as he stood up as he was going to answer the phone outside the bar.
Delia Margery, who was already drunk, nodded casually.
Martin James noticed that Delia Margery was so drunk, and Martin James was a little worried to leave her alone there.
Martin James looked at the bartender and said, "Sir, this is my girlfriend. I'm going out to answer the phone. Please, keep an eye on her for me. Here's your tip!" Martin James said as he took out one thousand dollars and put it in front of the bartender.
"No problem, sir!"
When the bartender saw the huge amount of money in front of him, he instinctively responded with a smile on his face.
As soon as he walked out of the bar, Martin James called back his grandfather.
"Martin, is everything going well?" The voice of Morgan Gracie came from the phone.
"Things are going well, but I just entered the company on my first day today, and I haven't got any evidence yet. However, I found a lot of drawbacks and a lot of problems in the company!" Martin James said.
"Well, I'm afraid that the cleaner you interviewed during the time you were undercover was not wrong. I just called to tell you to be more patient," Morgan Gracie said.
"I understand, Grandpa!" Martin James nodded.
Although Martin James suffered a lot that day, he could still endure it.
After hanging up the phone, Martin James went to the bar.
As he was walking inside, Martin James remembered that Delia Margery was one of the company's directors, and he might be able to get some useful evidence from her.
Of course, only if Delia Margery was willing to say anything.
Martin James shook his head as he walked into the bar as he felt a little dizzy.
Earlier, he had drunk two glasses of whisky in a row, and he also drank half-cup of Bacardi bomb.
After returning to the bar, Martin James found that Delia Margery's seat had become empty.
Martin James frowned and he rushed to the bar.
"Where is my girlfriend?" Martin James asked the bartender.
"She was ---," the bartender was pale and seemed hesitant.
Seeing the bartender's reaction, Martin James immediately sensed that something was wrong.
"I didn't give you a thousand dollars tips for nothing. Tell where she is!" Martin James asked in a cold voice.
"I don't want the money anyway!" The bartender said as he returned the money that Martin James had given him to the bar.
Martin James was stunned.
Then Martin James picked up a knife in front of him, he rushed to the bartender and he put the knife around his neck.
"If you don't tell me where she is! I will stab the knife into your neck. Your blood will spout like a fountain!" Martin James said in a cold tone.
"Don't you dare! There are guards in this place, and if you do anything wrong, you will die too!" The bartender looked pale.
"You are not sure if I'm going to die, but I'm sure you'll die in front of me first!" Martin James said as he pushed the knife harder.
"Alright! I'll say it!"
The bartender felt the knife on his neck and he said in horror, "She was taken to the Queen's Pavilion on the second floor!"
"Damn it! No matter who that bastard was, if he touched Delia Margery, I will definitely kill him!" Martin James said viciously.
Then, Martin James dropped the knife and he ran quickly towards the second floor.
He arrived at the second floor where the Queen's Pavilion was.
The room was filled with smoke, and there were more than ten men and women.
The man who had talked to Delia Margery earlier was there too.
"Who are you? Let me go! I'm going out!" The drunken Delia Margery said as she wobbled her feet and tried to walk out.
Although Delia Margery was very drunk at that time, she was still conscious.
"Beauty, don't go away!"
The man pulled Delia Margery back and she fell on the sofa.
"Beauty, come on! Have another drink! When you finish this drink, I promised that I'll make you feel good!" The man said as he picked up a glass of wine with a lewd smile and she poured it into Delia Margery's mouth.
The young men and women in the room cheered as the man forced that drink on Delia Margery's mouth.
After pouring down the glass of wine, the man immediately loosened his belt and he was ready to make out with Delia Margery in full view of the public.
"Martin, where are you? Help me!" The heavily drunk Delia Margery was starting to feel very sleepy at that time.
Delia Margery realized that the only person she could ask for help at that time was Martin James, whom she had just met that day.
Suddenly, the door of the room was kicked open.
When the people in the room heard the noise, they turned their heads and they looked at the man who was standing by the door.
It was Martin James.
After Martin James entered the room, he saw Delia Margery who was caught in between the man's arms who was talking to her earlier.
Seeing Delia Margery lying on the sofa, Martin James was slightly relieved nothing bad had happened to her.
Then, Martin James looked at the man with cold eyes, "You're an asshole! When she was at the bar, she already turned you down! Why are you forcing yourself on her?"
The man looked at Martin James with a grim smile and said, "I didn't expect you to find this place, but it doesn't matter. I'm sure you're not a rich jerk judging by the way you're dressed. I'm playing with your woman in front of you, but what can you do?"
The man didn't take Martin James seriously at all, because of the way he was dressed.
At that time, five more men had come towards Martin James.
"Boy, you'd better standstill. Otherwise, don't blame us if something happens to you!"
Martin James stared at the six of them.
"Let's see who will lose between us!" Martin James exclaimed as he pulled out a pistol.
"Gun! He has a gun!" somebody from the crowd exclaimed.
The five men who were blocking Martin James had changed their expressions when they saw the pistol in Martin James's hand.
"Don't be afraid! With the appearance of this boy, how can he have a real gun? I think he just scares people with a toy gun. I've seen a lot of people like him!" The man who was forcing himself to Delia Margery said in a loud voice.
The man thought that Martin James was only of very low status. How can such a person get a gun in the United States, where gun control was extremely strict?
"Don't you believe me?" Martin James narrowed his eyes and he pointed the gun to the man.
"Then shoot me if you can! Do you want to scare people with a fake gun? Do you think I'm an idiot?" The man shouted.
"Now that you have made such a request then I will satisfy you!"
After Martin James said those words, he pulled the trigger of the gun.
After the gunshot, the belly of the man was instantly stained with blood.
"What the ---!" The man cried out in pain. He never thought that Martin James had a real gun, and that he would really shot him.
The men and women in that room also screamed with fear.
"Don't fucking move!" Martin James screamed as he pointed the gun at those people.
After hearing those words, all of them had turned pale. The atmosphere was filled with fear and they stood still for fear that Martin James would shoot them too.
A few timid people were even more frightened and they trembled all over.
"Hold your heads and sit down!"
Martin James yelled domineeringly at those people.
How dare those people disobey him? Because of fear, everybody holds their heads and they sat down at the floor.
Guns were more powerful than physical strength.
Martin James went straight up to the man and pointed the gun to his head.
"You're crazy, aren't you? Now, why can't you say anything?" Martin James said viciously.
If Martin James hadn't come in time, Delia Margery might have been abused by that bastard.
