Chapter 164: Chapter 164

Chapter 164 Hedy Julian Pleading

The security guards and staff at the door of the company were scared to hide in the building.

Around Martin James, there were only Michael Bess and Lone Wolf.

Michael Bess' forehead was also covered with cold sweat and his face was paled, and he was obviously frightened, too.

"Martin, I know your bodyguard is good, but I went down in a shuttle. He's still scrapped!" Edwiin Birrell grinned grimly.

Edwiin Birrell said as he was pointing the gun at Lone Wolf.

Lone Wolf reached out to touch the darts.

Edwiin Birrell shot Lone Wolf directly at the foot.

"Don't move! Or I'll turn you into a sieve right now!" Edwiin Birrell shouted.

Lone Wolf could only put his hand back.

If Edwiin Birrell was the only one with a gun, Lone Wolf could still find a way to fight.

But now it was more than a dozen well-trained people with guns pointing at the three of them from all directions, and it was impossible for a Lone Wolf to kill these people with guns in an instant.

"What proof did you just say? I'll tell you, I Edwiin Birrell, I never need proof!" Edwiin Birrell said proudly.

There was a pause. Edwiin Birrell continued with a smile, "It's a big deal for me to deploy personnel and equipment privately, but my family can resist it for me, and I can't be demoted. Be punished, but you have to pay the price of your life! Do you understand?"

"Edwiin, tell me what you want!" Martin James said coldly.

"Martin, I'm giving you a chance to live. Kneel in front of me, be like a dog, lick the dust off my shoes, and get out of C City!" Edwiin Birrell smiled a ferocious smile.

"You!" After hearing the words, Martin James' face changed dramatically.

Even if he let Martin James go to hell, Martin James would never do that. This was the dignity of a man.

"Martin, if you don't do this, not only will you die, but both people around you will die. I promise, I can do it!" Edwiin Birrell exclaimed.

Martin James looked angrier, even if he died, he wouldn't kneel in front of him, but he didn't want to involve Lone Wolf and Michael Bess.

"I'll give you ten seconds to think about it. When the time is up, I promise, I will order the shooting!" Edwiin Birrell said with a grim smile.

For Martin James, it was best that he could solve the problem without shooting, so that he did not have to bear the consequences. If he did, the consequences would be even greater.

Then, Edwiin Birrell began to count.

"Ten."

"Nine."

As he heard Edwiin Birrell's reminder of the countdown, Martin James' face grew uglier.

"Martin, my life should have been lost as early as in Europe. It was Morgan that made me live for so many years, and it was worth my life to meet Martin you." Said by Lone Wolf.

Although Michael Bess was afraid, he gritted his teeth and said, "Mr. James, I was always suppressed in the company. You promoted me after you took office, and you have always trusted me. You have a great understanding of me. I am worth dying with Mr. James!"

Martin James felt even worse when he heard their words.

Martin James didn't want to hurt them both.

"Three!"

"Two!"

"One!"

Edwiin Birrell was still in a desperate countdown, and it had been counted to the end.

"Martin, you seem to have a lot of backbone. You'd rather them to die than to kneel in front of me? In that case, go to hell! Guys, load it!" At the order of Edwiin Birrell, his colleagues in camouflage clothes around them all pulled their guns and loaded them.

"Wait! Stop! Stop!" Martin James shouted to stop Edwiin Birrell's men.

"Edwiin, the feud between us, don't involve others. You can kill me, leave the others alone, they have nothing to do with us!" Martin James said with clenched teeth.

"Are you begging at me? If you want to beg, get down on your knees and beg! Maybe I can think about it!" Edwiin Birrell grinned grimly.

Edwiin Birrell was clearly trying to humiliate Martin James.

Hedy Julian's house on the other side.

"Daughter, I just received big news. Would you like to hear it?" Miles Julian asked.

"Not interested." Hedy Julian went to the sofa and took out her cell phone to play.

Miles Julian smiled and continued, "It's about Martin James and Edwiin Birrell."

"Them?" Hedy Julian was startled.

Then, Hedy Julian hurriedly asked, "What happened to them?"

"I heard that Edwiin dispatched a tank with a dozen heavily armed men and went to the Gold Group Building and said he was going to kill Martin! It is estimated that Martin will have a lot of bad luck this time," Miles Julian said.

"What?" Hedy Julian stood in surprise and dropped her cell phone on the floor.

"Dad, you... are you kidding me? Edwiin, how dare he?" Hedy Julian said eagerly.

"Do I look like I'm joking?" Miles Julian said.

After a pause, Miles Julian continued, "But then again, they were also fighting because of you, and I didn't expect that ten years later, this Edwiin Birrell would come back to C City to find you. If I had known that, I wouldn't have set you up with Martin James."

Edwiin Birrell used to be at C City. When Miles Julian wanted to set up Edwiin Birrell and his daughter when they grew up, but Edwiin Birrell left C City for ten years. Miles Julian thought that he had already forgotten all about her daughter.

That was why Miles Julian wasn't thinking about it. Last time, when he met Martin James, he set up his daughter and Martin James.

Miles Julian looked up at Hedy Julian and asked, "Hedy, don't you like Martin? Do you still hate him? Now that Edwiin is going to kill him, why are you so nervous?"

"Dad, it's none of your business."

After Hedy Julian left those words, she ran upstairs and into her room.

After Hedy Julian closed the door of her room, she quickly took out her cell phone and called Edwiin Birrell with trembling hands. She would try to stop Edwiin Birrell.

Hedy Julian didn't know why she was so concerned about Martin James' safety, but deep down in her heart, she didn't want Martin James to die.

'I do not know why.' Hedy Julian said to herself. She thought that Martin James might be killed by Edwiin Birrell, she was worried to death!

Downstairs of the Gold Group building.

"If I get down on my knees and beg you, you can leave them both alone, right?" Martin James stared at Edwiin Birrell with scarlet eyes.

"You have no right to negotiate terms with me. Get down on your knees first! If you have a good attitude, I'll leave them both alone!" Edwiin Birrell said proudly.

Martin James took a long breath and then uttered a word, "All right."

Martin James would rather die than lose his dignity in front of Edwiin Birrell.

But Martin James was willing to use his dignity, in exchange for the lives of Michael Bess and Lone Wolf.

"Martin! You can't do that!" Lone Wolf grabbed Martin James' arm.

Just then, Edwiin Birrell's cell phone rang. When he saw who it was, he immediately answered.

"Hello, Hedy." Edwiin Birrell picked up the phone.

"Edwiin, I heard you are going to kill Martin? With a weapon! Is that true?" The voice of Hedy Julian rang on the phone.

"Yes, he's right in front of me right now, and he's about to kneel. Hedy, would you like to see it? I'll make a video later." Edwiin Birrell said with a smile.

"Edwiin, will you stop fooling around? We are talking about human life. Let's just say I'm begging you. Don't yell at me. Please, stop this." Hedy Julian's voice seemed anxious.

Edwiin Birrell's face sank when he heard the words.

"Hedy, how dare you say "beg" for this man? The man is a loser. He has no ability but to rely on his grandfather's identity! What qualifications and abilities do he have to ask you to plead for him?" Edwiin Birrell said coldly.

"Edwiin, I... I just don't want you to kill anyone because of me! If you dare to kill him, I will hate you for the rest of my life!" Hedy Julian spoke firmly on the phone.

After hanging up the phone, Edwiin Birrell looked so mad.

Martin James was also a little surprised.

Although Martin James didn't know what Hedy Julian said on the phone, Edwiin Birrell sounded like Hedy Julian knew what was going on at the Gold Group building. Hedy Julian seemed to be pleading for him.

In Martin James' mind, 'Hedy hates me so much, right? Doesn't she want me to die, right?'

Martin James never thought that Hedy Julian would plead for him.

At that point, an exasperated Edwiin Birrell pointed a gun at Martin James and shouted, "What the fuck are you waiting for? Why don't you get down on your knees! Do you want me to kill two people beside you? Kneel now!"

"He can't kneel!" Lone Wolf grabbed Martin James' arm.

"Yes, he can't kneel!" Michael Bess also said.

Just then, two loud noises sounded, and Lone Wolf and Michael Bess were each shot in the leg.
