Chapter 131: Chapter 131
Chapter 131 Questions
Inside the Lamborghini.
"Ward, I told you I wasn't bragging. Do you believe me now?" Martin said with a smile as he drove.
"Yes! But I still feel like I'm dreaming. How on earth did you possess a Lamborghini? Have you made a fortune in the past few years?" Ward looked very excited.
"Get rich? Sort of." Martin said with a smile.
"So, you're doing better than Drew?" Ward looked at him.
"Don't compare me with him. People like him only show off their wealth with ordinary people. If you really put him in the rich circle, well, one could say that he's just a fart." Martin said calmly.
"You couldn't be serious!" Ward smiled.
After laughing twice, Ward continued excitedly, "Martin, just after you drove you out your Lamborghini, not only the students were confused but also Drew also looked shocked and frightened. It was so much fun! He finally had time to eat his own medicine!"
Ward, like Martin, was often bullied by Drew back in high school, and he had been looking forward to seeing Drew be humiliated.
Drew happened to be doing well. It seemed that he will never see the day when he was down in his life.
But now, he finally witnessed the one thing he had always dreamed of. Of course, he was excited and happy!
"He used to bully us a lot, so how can we just leave him be? And I'll let you humiliate, bully, and even make him kneel in front of us like a dog!" Martin squinted his eyes.
"Really? Well, that would be great!" Ward seemed to be looking forward to it.
Blue Witch Bar was a famous bar in C City, and behind it was the Joy Entertainment Group.
Drew and others have arrived.
At this time, the faces Drew and the other people were making were not very convoluted.
"On the way here, Drew, I kept thinking that it doesn't make sense why Martin is able to drive a Lamborghini. If he can afford a Lamborghini, then why did he go to the square to hand out flyers?" Greg said.
Lennon nodded hurriedly. "That is true. As far as I know, his family is very poor, and he is dressed poorly, too. I can't figure out why he owns a Lamborghini now."
"I can't figure it out either!" Drew said with clenched teeth.
For Drew, today's reunion was supposed to be the day for him to be in the limelight, but after Martin opened his Lamborghini, his spotlight was completely snatched away from him!
"Drew, I speculate that his Lamborghini is probably just rented to pretend to be rich at today's reunion." Greg said.
"Yes! It's very likely." Lennon nodded again.
"That makes sense." Drew nodded, too.
Drew just can't believe that a poor guy like Martin can drive a Lamborghini, but the idea of renting a car made perfect sense.
"It's really possible."
"Yes!"
For a moment, the others nodded one after another, and they all felt that Martin didn't seem to be the one who could drive a Lamborghini.
"Martin has the guts to rent a car and fake it with me! If I don't expose him today, then that'd mean I'm bringing shame to the Rossetti family!" Drew said with clenched teeth.
"Drew, how are you going to expose him?" Lennon asked.
"You'll see later. For now, let's go in!"
Drew waved his hand and led the crowd inside Blue Witch Bar.
The bar's VIP room 6666, which was an oversized one, had no problem accommodating 40 or 50 people at the same time.
Since Martin and Ward left first, when Drew took the crowd into the room, Martin and Ward were already waiting in the box.
"Drew, your Land Rover is slow. It took you so long to get over here." Martin said with a smile.
"Martin, you have nothing to show off! Didn't you just rent that Lamborghini? What are you pretending to be?" Greg exclaimed, pointing to Martin.
Lennon echoed, "That is, renting a luxury car to fool us? Do you think we are idiots?"
"Rent? You think I rented that car?" Martin shook his head and smiled.
He did not expect that he had driven the car out, but they still didn't believe it?
At this time, Drew came forward with a smile and said, "Martin, if you didn't rent this car, it means you are very rich. Since you are so rich, how about paying all the expenses in bar?"
Drew was going to use this trick to expose the true face of Martin.
If Martin wouldn't agree, he can be sure that he was a poor man who couldn't afford to buy the car in the first place.
"Even if you don't say that, I'm going to treat you all, nonetheless." Martin said calmly.
"Alright! That's what you said" When Drew saw Martin say yes, he roared with laughter.
Drew was not afraid of Martin saying yes, and he has already made a back-up plan in his mind.
If Martin really dared to boast, then he would say yes. He would make him spend a lot of money, and when Martin checked out, he wanted to see how Martin could afford it.
If Martin couldn't afford to pay, won't it automatically reveal the reason why?
"Waiter, give us ten bottles of Louis XIII in the box! Also, ten bottles of '95 Lafite!" Drew said proudly.
Anyway, it's not like he's going to pay for it, so he just ordered anything expensive just to humiliate Martin.
"Ten bottles of Louis XIII, ten bottles of 1995 Lafite. How much are we going to pay for it?"
"That would be at least 200,000 or 300,000!"
"What? Two or three hundred thousand?"
The others in the box showed a look of amazement. They wouldn't dare order such expensive wine.
Moreover, that kind of expensive wine was not available on the market on weekdays.
Lafite in 1995 wasn't introduced much, and a brandy (Remy Martin) has to be matured for at least more than 50 years before it can be called Louis XIII.
Dora also looked worried.
"Sir, are you sure you want ten bottles of Louis XIII? And ten bottles of '95 Lafite?" The waiter confirmed.
"Of course, I'm sure. Get our orders at once." Drew waved his hand.
"Okay, I'm on my way!" The waiter nodded and was ready to leave.
"Wait a minute."
Just then, Martin opened his mouth to stop the waiter.
When Drew heard this, he immediately smiled and said, "What? Did you hear what I ordered, so now you're scared? If you're scared, it's not too late to admit it."
"Afraid? I'm sorry, I don't know, let alone acknowledge, fear." Martin stared at Drew with a sneer.
Then, Martin turned to look at the waiter.
"I want you to replace ten bottles of 1995 Lafite with ten bottles of 1982 Lafite." Martin said calmly.
"What? Ten... Ten bottles of 82 Lafite?"
The crowd stared at Martin with incredible eyes.
Although they did not know how much Lafite was worth in 1982, the reputation of this wine wasn't relatively uncommon to them. Many of them were aware of that.
Lafite in '82 was nicknamed the King of Red Wine, which was not for nothing!
They all knew that this was absolutely an affordable wine for the rich, but Martin dared to order ten bottles of the expensive wine at a time.
Even Drew and his two lackeys also looked at Martin with incomprehensible eyes. The only thing they wanted was to order something expensive to scare Martin. Did not expect that Martin himself would order a much more expensive wine?
Drew also knew very well how precious the '82 Lafite was. The price of that wine in the United States was getting higher, that even Drew himself has never drunk such a good wine.
The waiter asked, "Gentleman, Lafite in'82 in our store costs 350,000 dollars per bottle. Do you really want it?"
"350,000 dollars?"
When everyone heard the price, they all took a cold breath.
A bottle of 350,000 times ten bottles, would be 3.5 million dollars. For them, the cost was already astronomical!
And this was just the wine which would be drunk only for that night. After drinking it all, it'd be gone!
Dora finally couldn't help it and walk quickly to Martin.
"Martin, I know you want to fight, but there's no need to order such expensive wine. If you can't afford it, your whole life may be ruined." Dora persuaded him worriedly.
"Thank you for your concern, but to me, this money is really nothing." Martin said with a smile.
"If he wants to keep on pretending, then let him be." Drew scoffed.
Although Drew was surprised that Martin would order such expensive wine, for him, the more expensive, Martin ordered, the better. He wanted to see how he would step down when the time to pay came.
