Chapter 129: Chapter 129
Chapter 129 Bragging
"Look, everyone knows that he is bragging, and he continues to do so religiously." Drew mocked.
Dora looked at Martin in disappointment and then said, "All the students who are supposed to come have arrived, so let's get ready to take our seats."
After hearing her, everyone began to take their seats.
Drew looked directly at Amy.
"Would Amy be interested in sitting with me?" Drew sent out the invitation with a smile on his face.
"Alright." Amy smiled and nodded.
Martin was startled to hear Amy say yes to Drew.
"When we were in high school, he harassed you a lot, but now, you agreed to sit with him?" Martin frowned.
Amy defended Drew, which Martin never thought of.
"Why? You poor boy, you still want to eat good meat? Do you deserve it? Good meat is eaten only by people like me!" Drew looked at Martin with a defiant look.
"Martin, this is my business." Amy raised her eyebrows when Martin meddled with her decision. She looked a little unhappy.
"Did you hear that, boy? Get out of here!" Drew rebuked.
"Didn't you hear what Drew said? Get out of here! Why, do you want to fight instead?"
Greg and Lennon, behind Drew, went straight forward to push Martin away.
"You can't afford to pay the consequences of pushing me." Martin stared at Greg and Lennon with cold eyes.
"Hey, I think you really want to fight!"
Greg and Lennon looked like they were going to come up and beat Martin.
When Dora saw this, she hurriedly opened her mouth and said, "Greg and Lennon, today is our reunion. It's supposed to be a happy day, so don't start to fight."
"Greg and Lennon, don't beat the crap out of him. For the sake of the class reunion, I'll go around him once today." Drew ordered them.
Then, Drew looked at Martin with disdain and said. "Martin, you are such a loser. You are doomed to be trampled under my feet for the rest of your life, do you understand?"
"Amy, let's go."
Drew walked directly to the banquet area with Amy, laughing.
"Boy. Lucky for you. If it hadn't been for Drew's words, you would definitely have been beaten up today!" Greg and Lennon said coldly.
After they had finished talking, they hurriedly followed Drew.
"Beat me?" Martin shook his head and sneered.
Martin can swear that he was the one who would make them miserable if they dared to touch him.
Then, Martin looked at Amy again.
At this moment, Martin only thought that Amy was so strange.
"Another woman who is so materialistic!" Martin shook his head.
Dora walked up to Martin. "Martin, people change, especially after being polished by society, so don't be surprised."
"What about you? Have you changed, too?" Martin looked at Dora.
"I have changed a little, but my heart has not changed at all." She said.
After a pause, Dora smiled at him. "Haven't you changed, too? Although you were inconspicuous in high school, you were a determined, unyielding boy with high moral character. So, I didn't expect you to learn to brag now."
Martin smiled without further explanation.
Whether he was bragging or not, no matter how he tried to explain it, it'd all be pale and powerless.
Martin would make Dora, Drew, Amy, and the others understand!
"All right, have a seat." Dora said.
The students were seated at this time, and they were basically sitting with the people they knew well in high school.
After Martin came to the banquet area, a voice sounded. "Martin, come and sit here!"
He saw that he was his high school desk mate, Ward Yale.
"Ward, you're here, too!" Martin walked up to him with a smile.
Ward was Martin was also his high school friend.
Then, Martin sat next to Ward.
"Ward, I haven't heard from you for a long time. What are you doing now?" Martin asked.
"Well, what can I do? After graduating from high school, I followed my father's footsteps in making midnight snack stalls. Although it's a little bitter, at least, I can also make some money." Ward said.
Martin knew that Ward's house has a midnight snack stand.
"What about you, Martin? Are you still studying at C City University? Why aren't you with your girlfriend Jessie?" Ward asked.
"I haven't been with her for a long time. She thought I'm poor and ran away with someone else." Martin said with a wry smile.
After hearing his words, Ward could not help but sigh.
"Alas, most of today's women are so materialistic. You know how simple and pure Amy used to be. But now, seeing that Drew is a little over the top, she is willing to post him upside down."
"Yes. I didn't expect it either." Martin shook his head and sighed.
"Martin, look. Many students have gone to make a toast to Drew." Ward pointed to the front.
He looked up and sure enough, many students ran to Drew's table to propose a toast with him, most probably to connect with and curry favor him.
The reason was very simple, there's nothing more than to see that Drew was now rich and wanted to be blessed with a little light from him.
Ward continued, "Martin, if you look carefully, some people who go to toast are people who used to be bullied by Drew."
Martin looked back at them, and it was indeed the case.
"Ward, are you going to go?" Martin asked with a smile.
"It's impossible for me to propose a toast to him. He bullied us in high school, and I'll never forget it!" Ward said with clenched teeth.
After a pause, Ward said viciously, "Look at the way he smiles smugly. He looks angry. This society is really about who makes connections with the people at the top of the hierarchy, and they are such bastards who make a living out of that."
Martin smiled and patted Ward on the shoulder. "Come on, let's have a drink!"
After their short conversation, Martin could see that Ward was still the same Ward as he used to be.
After they had finished a glass of wine, Ward smiled to him. "But you are much bolder now. You dare to challenge Drew openly just now. I don't like him, but to tell you the truth, I wouldn't dare to challenge him overtly. It's very troublesome to get into trouble with people like him."
"Why not? He's just a fart in my eyes." Martin said with disdain.
With Martin's current power, it's easy for him to squeeze Drew to death.
Ward smiled and said, "Martin, I didn't expect you to learn how to brag."
"I'm not bragging. I said I had Lamborghini and it's the truth." Martin said calmly.
"Come on, all you have to do is brag with them. It's not necessary to brag with me. How can you drive a Lamborghini?" Ward wondered.
Ward knew about Martin's family condition, so how could Martin afford a Lamborghini?
"You don't believe me? Then, these are my Lamborghini car keys." Martin took out his car keys and put them on the table.
Ward picked it up and looked at it twice, and then said, "Which store did you buy it? The workmanship seems to be good. Those who don't know must think it's true."
Martin smiled softly, then took the key back without explaining anything.
Martin knew that no matter what he said now, it's normal for Ward not to believe in him. After all, he knew his family.
Again, Martin would reveal the truth.
The meal lasted a full hour.
In this hour, Drew had the liveliest table and he was the proudest one. Not only did he enjoy the flatteries from his classmates, but Amy w1even sat beside him.
According to the current plot, Drew and Amy would probably get a room at night.
Drew also appeared to be very proud of this thought.
As for Martin, except for chatting with Ward, almost no one came to talk to him, except the class monitor who came to pay tribute to everyone.
After an hour, Drew stood up and shouted. "All have almost eaten, so let's go to another place. Let's go to a bar and sing. I have already booked a big box, the cost is covered by me alone."
"Alright!"
The students present cheered on him.
Then, the crowd got up and went out one after another.
Outside the hotel, a classmate asked. "Which bar are we going to, Drew? How far is it?"
"Well, be rest assured that I am ready tonight. I chartered someone, and he will directly pull you over." Drew said.
"That's very thoughtful of you, Drew."
"Drew is mighty!"
The crowd said one after another.
With the public's praises, Drew naturally seemed to enjoy it.
