While waiting for the forensic result? Audrey decided to go shopping for her mom in case she's alive. She imagined seeing her after so many years. She smiled at the memory of holding her to sleep. She went grocery shopping after buying her clothes though she wasn't sure of her size. She bought medium sizes.

She entered her car and drove home lost in her fantasy world when she heard a car honking. She quickly maneuvered but the truck wasn't moving out of the way. With utmost speed, the truck hit her car which somersaulted. People were surprised gasping thinking she lost her life.

The truck driver might have thought she had died while driving off.

Audrey groaned in pain pushing the car door open rolling to the floor. The onlookers had to call the emergency line for her. She staggered to stand up feeling like a train just passed through her. She touched her head which was spinning. It's a good thing the car was bulletproof. She would have died on the spot. Without thinking much she knew who tried to kill her. Ivy Jerkins, she hummed.

The ambulance arrived and the paramedics attended to her while she insisted on going to the hospital.

Victor dropped by the hospital to take her statement unknowingly. He was surprising the victim was Audrey. She was sleeping soundly. He sat beside her staring at her stunningly. He couldn't help but stroke her cheeks lightly. She's too young to pass through difficulties he whispered holding her soft hand.

He waited for an hour before she woke up. Lola, Ava, and Vanessa rushed in worried asking about her health.

" Calm down. She's a survival. She's fine. She was given some sedative to relax her aching muscles" he muttered as they sat beside her checking for pulse and respiration. They heaved a sigh of relief after confirming it.

" How long has she been sleeping? Asked Vanessa checking her temperature with her hand plastered on her forehead refusing to move it

" An hour I think. I've been here that long. " He announced as they looked at each other then back to her

" Audrey? Ava called as she slowly opened her blurry eyes trying to figure out their faces

" Luke? She sat up touching victor's face who didn't want to ruin the moment. Lola gave him a wondering stare and spoke

" Can't you see us? It's Victor, not Luke. He's been busy lately remember? She stated as Victor felt embarrassed and agitated with her nosiness

" Oh. My eyes are a little blurry. She almost killed me, girls. I'm surprised I live" she giggled wiping her sleepy eyes to see properly. She smiled as she could see them.

" Victor, what brings you here? She asked sitting upright

" I received a report on your recent encounter and I'm here to make a statement," he said coyly as she narrated what happened to him

" But you know who tried to kill you right? Audrey, we're not strangers anymore. Tell me already so that I can bring them to justice" he coaxed as she thought about it

" Ivy jerkin. She holds a grudge against me and threatened to deal with me" she voiced while Victor wrote it down.

" I'll get to the bottom of this. Trust me" he promised to stare at her then Left

" Hmm. Another admirer. He's cute" said Lola fiddling with the bed sheets

" I belong to Luke and I want only him. Is ivy still around? She asked changing the topic

" Maybe. Vanessa can check. I heard Luke sold her biggest company piece by piece"; said Lola as Audrey's face darkens

" Why will he do that? She asked furiously. She never intended to sell it to other companies. He should have asked her but again she didn't tell him a thing.

" I think you need to talk to him. He is the only one that can retrieve them" suggested Vanessa

" Fine. When he returns from torturing Viola" she concluded resting her back on the pillow

" He's back already I think or so I heard. Bobby called with his Ukraine number. That should indicate he's here right? Asked Vanessa rhetorically

" I'll check on him later perhaps call him. No. I want to surprise him" she muttered as they shook their head in amusement.

At noon, she requested discharge and left the hospital to see Luke.

His guards welcomed her warmly going as far as opening the office door for her. She thanked him and strolled in. Lucas was sitting on his high table sipping wine directly from the bottle. She was petrified though she walked to him.

" Welcome back. I didn't know you drink straight from the bottle" she started taking a step back on noticing his deadly gaze.

He looked at her and smashed the wine bottle on the wall making her frightened confirming he was really angry. The guards rushed in with fear of him taking his anger on her according to Bobby's instructions.

" Get out of my office baboons. " He yelled at them. They curtsied and left hurriedly.

Audrey has never seen him this upset so she didn't know how to console him. She faced the door to leave before he smashed a bottle on her head.

" Don't even think about leaving. Why are you here? He asked suddenly calm but if one listens carefully one will notice his withheld anger

" Maybe we can talk about it some other time. I'll call you" she said waiting for his permission to leave but he just glared at her as if searching her soul

" Speak Audrey. I'm listening" he urged crossing his legs on his thighs

" I heard you sold Ivy's company" she stated. She was no fool. She could tell he was in a rage.

" It's mine surely I have the right to sell it. Do you have an issue with it?" he said nonchalantly

" I want to buy it back and I know you can help," she said looking into his emotionless eyes. His love and compassion for her wasn't there anymore

" And why will I help a lying slut like you? He stated as her heartbeat increased from the surprise. It seems her fears were already there.

" Luke, I don't know what Viola said to you but it's not true. Let me explain" she urged as he chuckled

" Explain? How will you know what she told me when you never said anything to me. You treated me like a fool " he snapped smashing another bottle

" Please hear me out" she pleaded

" I want the truth. were you a prostitute or not? were you waiting on men? " He felt disgusted saying it

" That was a long time ago. I didn't do it for long. Viola forced me to do it. I was just sixteen Luke" she uttered sobbing

" Shut your slutty mouth, Audrey. Don't ever mention my name with that slutty mouth of yours. You disgust me. " He muttered standing up

" I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I was young and naive then. when I found out where I was I had no choice but to accept my fate" she explained as it angered him. He towered over her intimidatingly

" Get out of my office and don't ever show your face to me again. You don't deserve forgiveness. You had all the time in the world to tell me. I pressured you to do so but you didn't and here you are asking for forgiveness. Over my dead body will I accept a prostitute as my wife or lover" he stated as she stepped further away from him in tears

" I was scared of your reaction. You didn't surprise me though. You acted the way I imagined you'd act. You never trusted me. I know that now" she sobbed ready to leave turning her back to him when he spoke

" How should I trust you when everything that comes out of your mouth turned out to be absolute lies. " He added

" Get out Audrey. You're one mistake I will not repeat in my life. Get your slutty self out of my sight. " He said nonchalantly as she walked out wiping her tears with a heavy heart. He didn't give her the chance to explain. To him, she's a prostitute: a bed warmer. She cried to the parking lot before driving off.

Lucas caught a glimpse of something fall to the floor and noticed he just shed a tear. He was disappointed at himself for shedding tears for a slut: a public hole. He sat down trying to concentrate on his work but nothing seems interesting anymore. He wanted to forget her. She's not worth his love. She's not worthy enough. She pretty much made a fool out of him.
