Ivy was in deep thought. What did Audrey give her to sign? For her to lose it she rather sells it to Lucas with a few million than lose everything within a blink of an eye.
Viola was thinking of how to run but again Audrey isn't aware of Lucas's pursuit. She wasn't ready to take chances. She has to leave town before they find her then she remembered Adrian Emerson. He does live here. Perhaps he could help.
" Ivy, we're leaving, right?
' hell no. I want to see that cunning Lola again and there's something else I have to do. " She said in frustration.
" Where should I stay? You know Lucas lives here and he wants me dead" she voiced as Ivy yelled at her
" Shut up. This is all your fault. If you didn't let her escape from the brothel she wouldn't have the guts to face me. " She exclaimed as Viola remained calm.
Viola didn't retort for the fear of being thrown out. It seems she's frustrated enough to take the anger out on her. She needed Adrian. She needed his help as he did years ago.
Ivy stormed out of the suit and ordered her chauffeur to drive her to Lucas's office.
Audrey went to the guest room to see Vanessa waiting impatiently for her.
" It's nine in the morning Audrey" she scolded as Audrey shrugged her shoulder in embarrassment with a grin
" I'm sorry. " She said slowly sitting beside her
" Fine. What do you want to tell me? She asked holding her hand
" It's Viola Vanessa, we saw her last night with my aunt. They're cohorts. My aunt is hiding her " she exclaimed as Vanessa screamed in joy
" Do you know what this means Audrey? Freedom. No one will be unto us anymore. You can be with Sir Lucas without the burden of hiding your past from him. Besides us no one knew our past' she screamed again hugging her as Audrey thought of the repercussions
" Yeah. I want you to tell Bobby about it. Tell him how and when you saw her. Tell him she's here in Ukraine with Ivy jerkins. He won't doubt you" she suggested as Vanessa jumped up getting dressed beaming with Joy.
Finally, they will be free from oppression and ridicule. She was excited.
" You know what to say right? She asked again as Vanessa shook her head in assurance
" Ok. Thank you, Vanessa. " She said walking out of the room in deep thought. She had no idea why she wasn't happy.
Ivy entered Lucas's office in shame as he didn't offer her a seat. She had to stand for minutes till he was done with his desktop computer.
' yes? What can I do for you? He asked nonchalantly
" I've thought about it and I'm ready to sell it to you " she uttered as Lucas raised a brow
" What changed? He asked sternly
" I thought about it and you were right. I'll still be a shareholder right?
" It's invalid at the moment. Of course, I'll buy it but not for two billion dollars but a sum of five hundred million bucks " he said coldly
" And to be a shareholder, you need just that amount of money. What's your choice? He added
" Five hundred? And it's for my shares? No Cash? She asked but he didn't say a word instead he glared at her assuming she's deaf.
" Can I invest two hundred million? Do I need the money? She suggested
" I'm a busy man jerkin. Go to other companies if you're not satisfied with my bargain" he refuted
" I agree. I agree. I can take my shares anytime I want" she smiled
" You can also take the money if you changed your mind. Being my shareholder requires a lot of knowledge" he warned as she decided to take the money. She fears his words.
" Good. I'll have someone arrange the money while you wait in the accounting department. Good day" he said putting his goggle on
" Thank you sir" she smiled. She rather sells it for some cash than lose it to Audrey: the schemer. She curtsied and left grinning.
Lucas watched her leave and wondered what Audrey did to her. Planning a billion dollars company bankruptcy isn't an easy target yet she did it swiftly. She must be a serial killer he concluded.
The company transaction was successful as Ivy gave Lucas the documents and Luke paid her in cash according to her preference. She was excited. She has to find a way to leave the country and start all over but Audrey might come after her. She smiled knowing what to do.
Vanessa came to the company and went straight to Bobby's office shutting the door.
" I've good news Bob," she said hugging him
" Which is? He asked surprised to see her smiling widely
" I saw Viola. She was in a car with Ivy jerkins the new investor. Viola is here" she announced as Bobb ran out of the office calling his people to find her: surrounding the airport and seaport. While some were to roam around looking for her including Ivy before he entered Lucas's office to relay the message.
He opened the door without knocking. Lucas didn't mind seeing his facial expressions
" Tell me you found her? He urged
' yes sir. She's here in Ukraine living with Ivy jerkins. We find Ivy, we find her" he suggested as Lucas put his suit jacket on
' tell Genevieve to get the soldiers on watch. She's not escaping from me this time" he muttered walking out of the office like a soldier.
