Lucas sat at the edge of the bed staring at her then stood up and went to another part of the room.

Audrey sat close to him but he ignored her. She was scared to ask for the keys. She decided to tour his luxurious room which is almost bigger than her penthouse apartment.

She looked everywhere and notice a big portrait of Lucas and a man which she assumed was his late t brother.

The man and Lucas had a handshake. She guessed it was a congratulatory handshake cos Lucas was in military uniform and he was smiling. She could see his teeth. She gaped at the photo.

She made a mental on every feature. She smiled looking at how happy he was. He was so young. She touched the portrait of Lucas smiling. She was so immersed in it that she didn't know when it fell and shattered.

Lucas heard the sound and rushed over. He was furious. That's The only picture of his late brother that he confiscated. His parents discarded the rest.

" What's wrong with you Audrey? Do you have a death wish or something? She didn't know what to say. she bent down to pick the broken glasses. A piece pricked her fingers due to nervousness that he might hit her. She didn't feel the pain. He squats to help her tend to her wound. His anger subsided.

'" Audrey, you're bleeding. Leave it. I'll clean it up. It's just a frame. I'll have it fixed," he said putting her finger on in his mouth licking and blowing on it.

" You don't take care of yourself that's why Your body suffers a lot. The other day you had a cast then a gunshot and a bruised face now this. Give priority to your body. " He scolded as she was lost in a daze cos of his actions.

" I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ruin it. Is it that important? I'll have it fixed myself. I just have to go outside" she muttered blushing.

" You're not leaving my sight young lady. If confining you indoors will keep you safe then that's fine by me unless you tell me what's going on" he said softly wrapping her finger with a bandage

" Nothing is going on. Luke? She said touching his face making him stare at her to elaborate

" Let's have that relationship trial that you mentioned earlier. I want to be with you. If we don't develop or confess our feelings for each other then we can go our separate ways" she suggested cupping his cheeks with both her hands

" Okay. I'm not lusting after you, Audrey. I don't know what's happening to me with you" he said truthfully touching her swollen lips which he bit and nibbled on.

" Me too. " She said staring at him affectionately. And hugged him.

" I'm sorry for treating you like that earlier. I was upset. I'm hot-tempered. But I will never hurt you physically. I know how strong my hands are. " He apologized hugging her tightly sniffing her hair

" It's okay. I'm to blame. " She smiled listening to his heartbeat. She was looking forward to their new relationship.

" Aren't you hungry? She asked still hugging him

" No. Are you? He asked breaking the hug

" No. Just hug me, Luke. " She demanded as he complied.

Jenny's mother came to the house with policemen shouting for Audrey to come out for smashing a jar on her daughter's head. Lucas's grandma came out to see what the fuss was all about.

" What's going on here? She asked

" Jenny has been hospitalized because of a head injury. Lucas bitch smashed a coffee jar on her head. I'm here to take legal action." she explained in fury

" That's not true. When did that happen? I'm sorry maybe you're mistaken" said granny thinking Jenny made it up because Lucas failed to acknowledge her.

" Oh really," said Mrs morgan showing her a picture of Jenny at the hospital with a bandaged head.

" Oh, dear. I'll get Lucas to handle this. " Said granny surprised Audrey was a violent one.

"Good"

" Come inside. The policemen have to sit too. Luke will handle everything"

They were all seated in the living room while granny went to Lucas's room to find him. She knocked.

" Who is it? Asked Lucas irritably

" It's me luke"

" Grams, I want to be left alone" he uttered as Audrey broke the hug urging him to open up with her eyes

" Mrs. Morgan is here with a complaint against Audrey. " She announced

" Okay. " He stated staring at her.

" What's it? She mouthed

" Stay here why I handle it," he said leaving. He pressed his fingers on the door and it opened. She swallowed a lump. She looked around and saw Lucas's phone and smiled.

Quickly she sent a message to her two friends informing them of her situation. They called immediately.

" What? You're in the stone house? Did he kidnap you? Asked Lola curiously

" Or he's attracted to you. Omg Audrey, have you fallen for the big bad CEO? Said Ava in curiosity

" Audrey! It's yes right? Is this his number? You go for it girl" said Ava in ecstasy

" You might get hurt dear. He's too wealthy for us to handle"warned Lola

" Lola, I'm attracted to him. With the drug lord unto get me. I want to be happy and loved before I join my parents. I want to feel loved for once and Lucas Hamilton does love me. " She said

" How do you know that? Has he told you he does? Listen to me and get out of that house. We can relocate. They might have found you with that photo. Let's relocate. Forget about Lucas. Boys come and go. You'll find someone else" said Lola

" No Lola. I want to be with him. Ava said men are not worth my innocence but Luke he's different. I know he's intimating but there's something about him girls. I can feel it. " She tried to express herself. She just wants to make him happy and to prove to him that all women are not the same. She wasn't leaving him unless he wants to.

" Why do I feel like you're already in love with him"? Asked Ava

" Just get laid and come back home, Audrey. I think been celibate has driven you mad thinking it's love. its lust. He just wants your alluring body and he'll shove you out of his life. Heed my warning and you're just attracted to his well-built physiques. " Coerced Lola who didn't think Lucas loved her. She didn't want Audrey crying to her in the future should he break her heart.

" Audrey, are you really in love with him?. asked a concerned Ava who wants the best for her

" If that's what you call it. I don't lust after men. He has a great effect on me. I want to find the reason. We're a couple already. He asked me out and I agreed. I want his attention. I'm sorry Lola. Please let me find out what I feel for him? " She pleaded. Of course, Lola knows she loves him but she didn't trust Lucas. But she wanted her to find it out herself

" Don't come crying to me when he shatters your heart into tiny pieces. You'll wish you had listened to me sooner. " He refuted

" I support you, Audrey. You know I always do. Lola might be right. He hates women and he won't hesitate to punish you for being dishonest and munching" she muttered

" I'm an adult. I can take care of my feelings. Goodbye. I'll call you later" she said ending the call.

They wanted to ask why she was locked in but forgot due to her relationship ranting but they prayed she understands them soon. He was too connected for their liking.

Lucas arrived at the sitting room and saw Mrs. Morgan and the police who greeted him with respect.

" What can I do for you lieutenant? He asked

" Your bitch almost killed my daughter your future wife" snapped Mrs. Morgan

" I wasn't talking to you. " He said scornfully making his grandma chuckle

" Mrs. Morgan laid a complaint against one Audrey Zachary. We're here to arrest her for attempted murder" said the lieutenant. Mrs. Morgan was embarrassed by Luke's altitude

" Do you have a warrant for the arrest? And I don't see the victim. which means it's a false allegation or did you see the victim? Asked Lucas nonchalantly

The cops looked at each other and felt ashamed. they indeed haven't seen the victim. They apologized and left. Mrs. Morgan was short of words at his rudeness.

" Won't you see Jenny? She's in pain and agony

" I don't know her. She's just my business partner. Take care of your daughter and here for the medical expenses" he said handing her a cheque. She took it and stormed out of the house in anger

"Luke did she did that? Asked granny

" Yep. She pretty much smashed a jar on Jenny's head. I was impressed cos she ruins our make-out. " He said without a care in the world.

" You do like her, don't you? Asked a fulfilled granny. She will forever be grateful to her for coming his way. She'll make sure it remains so. She's ready to wand off any obstacle she'll face.

" And you're glad I like her. " He scoffed then left. Granny grabbed her phone and called his parents to make the announcement. There were excited and promised to visit in a few days.
