Chapter 7: Chapter 7

Kira assessed the man that slept on the bed, the strange vibe that came from him before intensified.

She frowned as she stared at him more. He was no doubt good-looking, but it confused her since there was no sign of him being anywhere royal.

Although the suit he donned says he could be one of the high-class men, she assumed he must have cleaned up as they always do for an important event.

He, in particular, had cleaned up to go for his mission, which was to kill.

As soon as he collapsed, she had wanted to leave him on the floor to bleed to death, but she couldn't, she hadn't.

Something had stopped her from leaving him alone in the cold.

She assumed it was the strange feelings she got from him.

The more she thought of it, the more it confused her.

The man before her was a nobody, a bloody nobody!

However, the sign from the prophecy had moved inside of her.

How could she be queen if the person before her wasn't even a royal? She mused, eyeing the room she was in.

He wasn't even close to being a royal.

Aside from that, he was penniless as well, making it worse.

She slapped the rag she had used to clean the blood from his nose- when she got into a fight with him earlier, she had made him bleed. She usually did that when she sensed a far more powerful supernatural creature than her.

It was the only way to take them down most of the time and she didn't want to cast a powerful spell that would weaken her and make her vulnerable.

"The seer needs to answer this because I don't know what the hell is going on," Kira grunted, walking to the bed.

She touched her hand to the stranger's forehead and his neck, his breathing was still faint but she was certain he'd live.

Even if she hadn't cast a spell to heal him, he'd definitely heal because he was one of those creatures that 'feasted on blood, even on people like her.

He had the ability to heal faster without anybody's help.

He was dangerous to her. Yet, she had freaking helped him.

The irony!

Kira watched as he smiled in his sleep, his Grecian nose wrinkled and his thin lips stretched out in a wide grin.

She wondered what he was dreaming about. Maybe, his next meal which was definitely her since he had threatened to kill her.

Kira gazed at him once more before stepping towards the door. She had done her part in helping him. All she needed was an answer and only one person could do that.

Jerking awake, Trevor groaned out in pain as his head smacked the headboard of his bed.

How long had he been asleep? He mulled whilst staring around the room.

He kneaded his temple and tried to recall what he had done the night before that resulted in his head thumping, his lips stretched in a thin smile as he recalled the blonde that had helped him up, after beating him.

All memories from last night flooded back into his head and he winced slightly, it wasn't a dream as he had imagined.

It was real.

She had beaten him and helped him.

The fragrance of her perfume still lingered in the room, which implied she had left a few seconds ago.

His eyes moved to the nightstand and he glimpsed a note attached to the body of a plastic bottle of water, with Advils next to it.

Trevor snatched the paper off the desk, reading the content.

~I doubt you'd need this~

"Kira," Trevor snorted with an eye roll. He scrunched up the paper and tossed it in the bin.

Of course, he didn't need any advice to get better. He had healing powers which kicked in immediately when he came awake.

But that wasn't his problem at the moment. Aside from him not being able to finish off what he intended to do with her, it was the strange feelings that swirled inside of him whilst he was next to her.

Even now, the thought of her didn't help as it even got intense.

He didn't know her, he had never seen her until yesterday.

Yet, he feels protective towards her. He desired to wrap his hand around her petite frame and tossed her on his bed whilst making…

"Damn!" He grunted, tugging his hair. "That bitch."

What had she done to him?!

******************

"Mother Lucia!" Kira bellowed as she stalked into the entrance of the large temple which stood at the heart of Sechester.

Sechester was a village, far away on the map. It was almost not noticeable due to how tiny it was on the map, but people often visited it for tourism purposes and its beautiful history.

The structure had been there for twenty decades and it was where the people of Sechester often worshipped their deity, the goddess Hecate.

Hecate was known to be the chief goddess in charge of magic and spells. She was the Greek goddess of witchcraft, necromancy, ghosts, the night, and the moon.

Kira passed by two pillars that were erected for her in front of the temple- they were known to wade off evil.

She yanked the torch nearby and tossed it towards a chandelier nearby.

"Come, out liar!"

She kicked the large table in the middle of the hall and yelped as pain flared in her toes.

"Miss…"

Kira halted, glowering at the two guards in front of her.

She gritted, clenching her hands into fists. "Don't f**king try to stop me."
