Chapter 348: Chapter 348
"Alright, we’ll decide on this then."
Thus, Er’s temporary care was entrusted to Chadite, who would observe Er at any time and document it. Alka would also observe and record Er in daily life, and frequently conduct research on her.
It was another night. Since Alka wasn’t on night duty, he went to sleep early, sinking into the Dream Realm.
He looked at the center of the Dream World, where a Transparent Crystal Stone floated. Inside the Crystal Stone, one could see Starlight, like fireflies, flying around. Each point of Starlight was a speck of Dream Energy, originating from Alka’s months of hunting in this Dream Realm. Besides this Dream Energy, there were also some useful spoils left that Alka hadn’t consumed and converted into Energy. Due to the barren nature of this Dream Realm and the scarcity of monsters, most spoils were intriguing materials. These materials hovered between illusion and reality, a characteristic that allowed for the creation of extraordinary equipment in the real world. However, apart from these materials, nothing else could be brought into reality unless a large amount of Dream Energy was expended. To have enough Dream Energy, one needed to accumulate it over time and avoid squandering it.
However, Alka had plunged into the Dream Realm tonight with a mission. His first task was routine observation. A huge Mirror appeared before him, showing the Dream Death God being observed. Whenever Alka entered, he would first check what the Dream Death God was doing, engaging in some spying. If it was sleeping, he wouldn’t bother; if it was active, he needed to observe carefully, thinking and recording. This was so that Lucilia could later compile the information and write it down in the compendium. This observation would continue until the Dream Death God discovered the Mirror shard attached to it, or the shard fell off for some reason. Currently, the Dream Death God was resting in a spherical form. After glancing at it twice, Alka shrank the Mirror, making it float beside him. The Mirror would alert him if any movement occurred.
Then, he floated out of his Dream Bubbles, descending into Lucilia’s Dream Realm. He reached out, awakening Lucilia with a touch. Accustomed to this, Lucilia no longer experienced intermittent bewilderment and instantly achieved clarity. Seeing Lucilia about to wave her hand to alter the dream, Alka promptly said, "Wait, don’t rush to change. Create a small domain in your dream and categorically place the books you’ve read into it."
"Books? Are you researching something?" Lucilia asked Alka, puzzled. If there was anything unclear or information that needed to be researched, he could just ask me. If it’s something I’ve read, I can naturally recall it.
Alka shook his head. "I don’t know what I need to read either, but today’s change in Er made me realize that my knowledge of Spell materials, mysticism, and Magic is still insufficient." The problem is that most related books from Homeland Sea aren’t profound enough. The more advanced knowledge mostly comes from the packaged information previously obtained from the Wise One. Naturally, the books they obtained from Homeland Sea aren’t very beneficial, so I’m thinking about finding more useful books here with Lucilia. However, if you ask me to specify what book knowledge I need, I surely can’t pinpoint it. I’m just striving hard to learn in this direction. Tʜe sourcᴇ of thɪs content ɪs NoveI-Fire.ɴet
Lucilia nodded, seemingly understanding Alka’s thoughts. She waved her hand, and a monumental library appeared in mid-air. This library occupied one-fifth of the entire dream sky, floating in the center and casting them into its largest shadow.
"Such a huge library?" Alka looked at the massive library overhead, utterly shocked. How many books must there be inside such a colossal library? he wondered.
"Just how many books have you read?" he couldn’t help asking.
Hearing Alka’s words, Lucia chuckled disdainfully. "These are merely the books related to what you just mentioned. I haven’t even extracted most of the books."
Alka lowered his gaze to Lucilia. "So, how old were you, exactly, when you were alive? How long did you live?"
Upon hearing this, Lucilia playfully punched Alka, lightly hitting him several times. "No asking! No asking! Quickly, go read your books."
After saying this, she directly transported Alka into the library.
Seeing the surroundings change, Alka shrugged indifferently. Instead, he focused his entire attention on the scene within the library. The entire library was circular, with round wooden tables at its center. These wooden tables seemed bound to the library, like branches growing out of the ground and shaping themselves into tables and chairs. The bookshelves also formed a circle, neatly arranged in six rows, and there were moving ladders for retrieving books. This is much better than I imagined; I thought it would be crammed full of bookshelves and cabinets. Still, the quantity is astonishing.
Good heavens, are all of these really books? Alka thought. If so, how long would it take me to read them all?
He walked over, examining them carefully.
