Chapter 84: Chapter 84

Aland drove the car like a madman. He arrived at the outskirts of the city bordering the forest. His cell phone rang as he was about to get out of the car.

He looked at the phone screen, and Ed's name appeared. Aland quickly answered. Hoping he gets a new lead from Ed.

"Hello? Aland, you know, right, that this is a trap?"

"Yes, I was aware from the start. Nothing is easy in our life, right?"

"Even though you know, you still go there." Ed's voice sounded worried.

"What else is my life's purpose if not to save my mate? Did you get any new leads on Jonea's whereabouts?"

"Right now, we even lost Hunter. His position was completely untraceable. However, I have new information regarding the people who did all this to Jonea and Hunter."

"Say!" exclaimed Aland.

"I'm sorry, Aland. I should have been responsible for this from the start. Ashley got involved because of me. But I'm sure Hunter's parents are behind Ashley. She won't be able to do it alone."

"Ashley? Did she take Jonea to her pack? Because I was close to their pack. My instincts led me here."

"There is a possibility. But…." Ed hesitated, and his voice trailed off. "Other parties are involved in this, apart from Hunter's parents. I can't say for sure. I'm looking for evidence and clues."

"What do you mean, Ed?"

"Surely you won't forget Axel White's death, will you?"

"Isn't he dead yet? Is he involved in all this?" Aland was very emotional.

"I can't say for sure, Aland. From the information I gathered in just this short amount of time, there was very little I could glean. Jonea did go into the director's room. But she's not the only one. You need to be careful. Whatever happens, you have to stay alert. We will follow as soon as we find out where Hunter is."

The car Aland was driving couldn't go any farther. He took a cutting path through the mountains to arrive at the place where Jonea was being held captive. The old factory warehouse is in an abandoned area that was closed down by the government long ago. The place is now reforested.

Aland ran all the way in his wolf form. He cut off the hiking trail. Using his hunting instincts, Aland looks for Jonea's whereabouts.

For werewolves, finding the location of their mate, even though they are separated by such a long distance, is relatively easy.

Jonea came to her senses and blinked. The first thing she saw was the end of the baseball bat Ashley was gripping. Ashley opened her legs wide. She was wearing red high heels. She put the baseball bat between her open legs. Her hand rested on the stick. She slightly bent down to whisper something to Jonea.

"Get up, bitch! It will only be interesting if you put up a fight. I wonder how skilled you are in battle?"

Jonea groaned. She felt an excruciating pain in her stomach from being beaten by Ashley. The vile and damp factory smells mixed together in her nostrils.

"What are you guys doing?" Jonea screamed as soon as she woke up while enduring the pain. "What do you want from me? We both attended Abraham High School. Why are you doing this to me?"

The smile completely disappeared from Ashley's face. Her face turned cold, and her eyes looked threatening.

Behind Ashley were many other Abraham High School students and a few outsiders Jonea didn't recognize. They are all still in the factory and have Jonea captive. Only Hunter he did not find.

"You are very curious, huh?" she teased.

"What did you do to Hunter? Where is he?"

"You really are a bitch. All members of B4 you approach, and you seduce for your own benefit. You even played with Hunter and Aland's feelings simultaneously."

"So… that's why you did this to me?"

"Yes, I'm sick of you!" Ashley glared at Jonea. "You are only a being of the lowest race. But if it's as if you control the whole school by approaching B4.

"Tell me where Hunter is!" she shouted.

"Worry about yourself, stupid girl. How could Hunter possibly want to help you? Instead, he's probably enjoying a warm bed in his house right now."

Ashley grabbed Jonea's hair again. The girl winced.

"From now on, you must become my slave! I'll toy with you to my heart's content before burying you alive in the mountain behind this factory. Ha ha ha…." Ashley burst out laughing as she stood up straight.

"Untie it!" Ashley ordered her warriors.

Two warriors approached Jonea. They kicked Jonea before releasing the ropes that bound her hands and feet.

Jonea's face was covered by hair. Secretly smiled even with a swollen face. Jonea could reach the silver peg she kept hiding when her hands were free.

With an excruciatingly painful stomach, Jonea tried to stand up straight. On the first try, she staggered. The girl struggled to balance her body. Now, she is facing Ashley.

Cheers suddenly echoed from the surroundings. The warriors gathered there immediately formed a circle as the arena where Jonea and Ashley would duel.

Ashley brushed her hair back and thumped the baseball bat on the floor several times with a crisp sound. She laughed condescendingly at Jonea.

"This looks funny," Jonea sneered while wiping the blood from her mouth. "You're a Luna. Even to fight me, you still need the help of a baseball bat?"

Ashley was furious. She glanced around, and some of her schoolmates seemed to hold back laughter. It made Ashley's self-esteem seem to be trampled.

The girl took off her high heels and challenged Jonea with her chin up.

"Give her a gun!" she ordered.

"No need!" Jonea replied by taking a stance.

Jonea's right-hand angles sharply forward for self-protection. Before Ashley got ready, Jonea attacked the girl quickly. The silver stake she slashed into Ashley's neck.

Ashley was shocked by the sudden attack. She could still dodge even though the sharp tip of the silver stake grazed her bare left arm.

Ashley's warriors gasped. Jonea could hear the growling of the wolves around her.

Ashley signaled them to hold back. "This is my business!"

Ashley licked up the blood on her left arm and spat it out before Jonea.

"Silver gun?" She grinned. "Okay. But that won't do much for me. Because I've had DNA repair surgery."

Jonea's eyes narrowed. She was surprised to see the wound on Ashley's left arm slowly closing. Even though her healing was not as fast as when she was injured by weapons other than silver, the wound didn't stay open either.

Jonea gripped the stake firmly in her hand. She returned to her stance and became alert.

This time Ashley jumped at Jonea quickly and unreadably. The girl turned into a white wolf that tried to pounce on Jonea.

With a round kick, Jonea managed to hit Ashley in the jaw. The white wolf was thrown several feet. Ashley landed on all four paws with a hissing sound.

The duel continues. The warriors needed to be more enthusiastic about their battle, not realizing that the surrounding factory was surrounded.

"The girl is in there," said one of the big brown wolves to his friends. They all surrounded the factory and came from the direction of the dark forest.

"Get the girl alive and get rid of the rest. We only need that girl to lure our enemies to come," said the leader.

When Ashley was about to scratch Jonea's face to cripple her for life, suddenly, a wolf appeared from all over the factory that looked wild and rough. Ashley was shocked when she saw her warriors being attacked and killed easily.

"Who are they?"
