Chapter 66: Chapter 66

Hunter turned into a big red wolf. He stood at the gallery door and gritted his jaw. He howled for his warriors to come there.

Jonea screamed in terror on the floor as Axel turned into a disfigured wolf.

"Why, Jonea? Are you afraid of me? This is my form in wolf form. The DNA alteration surgery didn't go well with me. Now, I'm just a disfigured wolf."

Jonea stood on the balcony shaking. Strong winds hit the girl's body from all directions. She had nowhere to run to. There is nowhere to take shelter.

In front of her, a black colored wolf with yellow eyes looked terrible. The wolf had a half-human face and a half-wolf face. Axel really seems so ugly. He couldn't completely turn into a wolf. Also, his human figure is still embedded in his physical form.

Axel kept pushing and threatening Jonea until the girl was cornered. Jonea's back was already touching the balcony railing.

Hunter looks panicked down there. He couldn't jump and climbed all the way to the third floor. Breaking into the gallery also has its own risks. Hunter knew by instinct that there were tons of silver traps out there.

Hunter gave a long howl. In the next few seconds, the warriors from Abraham's pack appeared around the gallery. They all huddled together in various wolf forms.

"Stop it, Axel! If you carry on, they will kill us together." Jonea tries to persuade Axel to abandon his plan. "You won't be able to escape from here safely. The wolves from Abraham's pack will hunt you!"

"Oh, I really didn't mean to run away, Jonea! I have made up my mind that I will die with you and Hunter here!"

Jonea was utterly disgusted.

Axel, who has a half-wolf face, growled. "Just think about your own safety. At this instant, I can throw you from here without difficulty. But not. It's too easy. I want to see Hunter suffer. I want to see him get up here, bypassing all the traps I set there."

Two warriors from Pack Abraham burst through the gallery door. The two wolves were hit by silver arrows. They all fell and were helpless.

Hunter immediately restrained his warriors from entering the gallery. The traps are too many and very dangerous. Hunter doesn't want to sacrifice his warriors for his personal problems.

Elmar and Edison came after Aland. Aland seemed to think about Jonea's position on the third floor.

"That girl could fall at any time, either because she slipped or was dropped by Axel." Aland looked panicked and worried. He just paced downstairs.

Axel shouted from above. "Hunter, you don't have much time before I throw this girl down. You want to see her die in front of you?"

Aland cursed. In that situation, he really hated Hunter. "Why does he keep getting Jonea in trouble? I swear to the Moon Goddess, I'll make him pay if anything happens to Jonea."

"Come up here alone, Hunter! Get rid of your warriors. If I still see them, you have no chance to save this girl," Axel threatened.

Edison was ready to summon his reinforcements. But Elmar immediately prevented it.

"Don't be rash. We just need to stand by here and ensure everything is controlled. We will only come if neither Hunter nor Aland needs help. One mistake could result in Jonea's life being lost!"

Hunter doesn't want to give up. He ordered his warriors to get out of the way.

Even though the warriors looked heavy-hearted, they couldn't refuse the alpha's request. Hunter also made up his mind to break through the main door of the gallery.

Before jumping in, Hunter gave Aland a message. "Make sure that crippled wolf doesn't throw Jonea from the third floor!"

Aland also replied to Hunter's message. "Also, make sure you won't involve Jonea in trouble anymore, or I will kill you with my own hands."

Aland turns himself into a human. He secretly slipped into the next building and climbed to the third floor. Even though the distance between the buildings was quite far, that was the only way he could come up with. Aland gains access to the building with help from Edison. Ed controlled much of the property in the area.

Meanwhile, Hunter began to barge in through the gallery's main door. On the first jump, he was greeted by a shower of silver arrows. He could avoid it with dexterity even though his hand was slightly scratched.

"I can still deal with minor scratches," muttered Hunter.

He went further into the gallery again and trod very carefully. The next trap came from shooting several silver daggers. The shot occurs automatically when the Hunter passes a sensor.

Tens of daggers came from the front.

Hunter flipped backward and dodged it. He stepped on one of the countertops and knocked over a few old jars before landing on an empty lot.

The trap isn't over yet. An invisible laser net greeted him. This time it was the ends of Hunter's hair that were clipped as he bowed. Hunter immediately retreated. He turned into a human, and his heart was pounding.

"I almost got my body ripped apart by that laser net! How to get rid of this laser net? He almost filled the entire passageway leading to the second-floor staircase."

"Elmar, where are you going?" asked Edison.

"Keep guiding Aland to find a way through the next building. I will find a way to cut off the electricity in this art gallery. Let's hope the traps won't work with the power out anymore."

The four alphas started working together to find a way to break through to the third floor. While Jonea, who was only wearing a blanket on her body, started to shiver. She began to develop hypothermia. Jonea felt an ache running through her body from the cold.

"You took too long, Hunter!" Axel shouted through the loudspeaker. "You only have 30 seconds left before I throw this girl out on the street."

On the balcony, Axel, who had turned half human and half wolf, started to pounce on Jonea. The girl could still dodge sideways, and Axel only hit the balcony guardrail.

"You want to play hide and seek with me, Jonea? You think you can keep avoiding me?"

Jonea was at the balcony door with a broken glass window. She didn't have any weapons. Jonea ducked down and picked up the broken glass.

Axel will attack her again. Jonea's reflex swung a shard of glass at Axel's face until it was torn apart.

Axel roared. He lost sight.

Jonea thought Axel would recover from his wounds soon because he has werewolf DNA, but apparently not. He really is a defective product.

Axel was getting more and more furious. He attacked Jonea in every direction.

In the next building, about five meters away, Jonea could see Aland and Edison on the third-floor balcony. They tried to hold out a ladder for Jonea. However, they were too far away and needed help to reach where Jonea was.

Elmar managed to get to the back of the building and locate the power line installation. He turned off the electricity with great difficulty, and the entire gallery building went black.

Axel growled and managed to escape Jonea's umpteenth attack. "You guys cut the power, huh? It will only be a while before an automatic generator will replace it."

Hunter knows that. He would use the chance to get past the final trap. For a few seconds, the power went out; Hunter immediately jumped and headed for the fire escape to the second floor. He continued running to the third floor.

Axel caught Jonea trying to crawl through the wall to the next building. Axel immediately lunged and bit her arm when the girl was halfway up the balcony railing. Axel dragged Jonea back to the balcony. However, Jonea jumped and hung on the balcony railing. The girl's arm was bleeding.

"Jonea!" Aland shouted desperately from the next building when he saw the girl hanging from the third-floor balcony.

Aland was so angry. He was helplessly in the building next door and could do nothing to save Jonea. They hunt with time.

Hunter made it to the third-floor balcony and confronted Axel. But Axel wanted to use the opportunity. He swung his claws at Jonea's hand, firmly clinging to the balcony railing.

The girl is in pain. She couldn't hold it any longer. Axel's claws had hurt her hands, and she could no longer hold on to the balcony.

Jonea's grip slipped. She soared from a height on the third floor.

Hunter is scared. Anger and despair mixed into one. He took it out by attacking Axel all out on the third floor.

Aland, who was trying to stretch out the ladder to reach Jonea and was unsuccessful, saw the girl get loose and thrown from the balcony.

Aland immediately turned into a gray wolf. He jumped from the third floor of the next building and headed for the balcony where Hunter and Axel were fighting. Then jump again after resting on the patio leading to the second floor.

Aland needed to be faster. He still couldn't reach Jonea.

The girl almost fell, but Jonea grabbed onto the second-floor railing. She's back hanging. But she couldn't last long because her hands hurt and hurt.

Jonea fell again. At that exact second, Aland managed to grab it. Aland supported Jonea's body with his back. They landed on the snowy asphalt surface.

The warriors from Pack Abraham, still on guard and crowding around, began approaching. They all immediately turned into humans and saved Jonea.

Elmar is back. He found Jonea, who was so shivering.

Aland had returned to his form and possessively hugged Jonea before Elmar. Aland took off his jacket and put it on the girl.

"Take her away from here, Aland," Elmar begged. "I'll help Ed finish the rest."

When Aland was already carrying Jonea and about to take her away, the girl suddenly begged and asked to be put down.

"Hunter," Jonea whispered. "I can't leave him. Leave me here."

"No, Jonea. We have to get out of here."

"Please, Aland. Just this time. I can't leave Hunter in that state. He's having the most trouble right now."

"Why do you keep thinking about other people?" Aland was annoyed but couldn't refuse Jonea's request.

He put the girl down and watched Hunter fiercely fight against Axel on the third floor. They weren't surprised when they saw Axel torn apart by Hunter's jaws and his body thrown from the third floor.

Axel fell to the asphalt-covered in blood, and several bones sounded broken. He landed on the asphalt road in front of the gallery.

At that moment, Aland immediately covered Jonea's eyes with his hands. "You don't have to see the horror. You don't deserve that nightmare, Jonea."

The warriors returned. They worked quickly to get Axel out of the way and any traps he had set in the gallery. A few minutes later, Jonea was still waiting under a tree near the gallery building.

Jonea saw Hunter walking, supported by Elmar. He's hurt. Jonea doesn't know what made her leave Aland and run toward Hunter.

"You are okay?" Jonea looked worried and approached Hunter.

Hunter's battered face and arm, torn by the silver arrows, had still not fully recovered. The wound was still bleeding. Hunter looked so messy, and his clothes were torn in several places.

When he saw Jonea running towards him with only a blanket and no shoes, Hunter wanted to cry tears of joy. At the same time, he was relieved to see that the girl was okay.

Hunter, who could barely stand without Elmar's help, now broke away from Elmar and grabbed Jonea in his arms.

"Thank goodness you're okay!" whispered Hunter hoarsely. "I'm sorry I keep getting you into so much trouble."

Aland was still standing where he was. He clenched his fists tightly and held his jaw from chattering.

Ed approached Aland and tapped the young man on the shoulder. "Come on, we have to go back. Your injuries should also be checked!"

"Elmar, can I leave the rest to you?" he asked.

Elmar nodded in understanding. "I'll take care of it and make sure your warriors don't make a sound. Mrs. Abraham doesn't need to know all this."

Hunter nodded and gave his best friend a grateful look. With Jonea's help, Hunter walked over and leaned on the girl's shoulder.
