Chapter 88: Chapter 88

Leo sits uneasy on his big chair waiting for his men to come this long to bring some evidence of a case that has so far not come, that Leo has sat up several times since he sat back, and his underling hasn't come to see him for more than half an hour.

If pedro had not been on leave it might have been a little easier to organize things, Leo would have found himself in a bit of trouble if his friend was unaccompanied, Leo's mind would have stopped when suddenly his work door was knocked so he would send him right in to see the man he had been waiting for so quickly walked over to Leo with the brown envelope in his hand.

"What took you so long" pissed off Leo that his underlings could only keep his head down.

"I'm sorry," he replied.

"What is this?" Said Leo trying to open the envelope he had just received.

"Those are some of the photos that alana was able to pull from the CCTV footage, and there are some CCTV footage that shows your wife exiting the store, until she disappeared ata crossroads in the middle of town." Leo's men apparently made Leo open the brown envelope, saw some photos of alana in the distance, Leo narrowed his eyes to see where it was parked in the car that alana used, but Leo didn't see who was taking the car.

Some of the photos are vague because it might have been remotely taken to make Leo stop by to look directly at the CCTV footage, scrutinize every move alana makes when she leaves the store and gets into the car, nothing suspicious about it, alana comes in alone.

Leo then switched to other CCTV footage, seeing the car on its way over was still in view, but on the road where he was supposed to turn the car was suddenly invisible and take a different road, it let Leo know where the car was missing, and unfortunately it turned on a quiet street that did not have the range of any CCTV cameras, and, as alana put it, it was indeed a remote street where vehicles rarely traveled.

Leo clenched his hand trying to repeat the tape he had been watching over and over again, hoping to find a point of light to reveal the perpetrator behind the scene.

"Do you have any evidence other than this CCTV footage? "Leo asked, hoping that his underlings still had all the evidence he could see.

"We're trying to find it but it's really a little difficult" he says, leaving Leo breathless.

"Then you can go back to work and let me know as soon as you can if you find anything" Leo said pushed his underling down after that, while Leo kept watching the CCTV footage for god knows how many hours Leo kept going through the flat screen in front of him, until finally Leo stopped on the initial footage of alana opening her car door.

Leo tripped the video and began to zoom in on it, from a distance beyond alana Leo's car to see a motor that Leo seemed to recognize, leaving Leo watching it and convinced that it was the next answer key to be found.

Leo then goes straight to his coat, Leo doesn't want his time to waste to find the perpetrator, by walking on Leo's phone to contact alana to make sure alana is at home safe.

"Dear, what are you doing? "Asked Leo still as he walked into the elevator.

"I'm watching, are you alone? Isn't it time for you to come home from work? "Alana answered on the other side.

"Yes, but there's a bit of work I need to get done, you know, pedro's already taking a leave of absence for it today, so I'm a little overwhelmed without his help, and I also want to let you know that I'll be a little late, you'll be fine." said Leo to alana, Leo understood it was probably the birthright of a pregnant mother for which Leo was more careful now with his wife, not wanting to make alana's mood worse because of a minor problem.

"Don't come home too late, you know I can't sleep if you're not here" alana blurted out what Leo already knows and made Leo pull the corner of his lips.

"Don't worry, I'll do my job quickly and be home before bedtime how" Leo says.

"All right," alana answered.

"And tell the butler to keep watch in front of the house, never to receive any guests from anywhere for any reason if I haven't made it home" Leo says

"Yes, yes I understand, you've said that several hours ago to the butler," alana answered alana, who already knows Leo's extra duties to the servants in her mansion, Leo does not allow guests from anywhere to enter her home, despite very important reasons unless she's at home.

Leo would really not let his guard down, Leo did not want alana in danger again.

"Well, then I have to finish the job so I can go home early" said Leo, who ended the kiss of alana after he cut them off.

Leo then scrambled into his car to meet the owner of the motor not far from alana's parked car, Leo believes it is the key to the answer to the problem, if he is not the perpetrator he must be aware of the real culprit, the two options that are now in Leo's head.

Leo's trip took several trips to curse because somehow the streets became so crowded, when this was not the hour home from work, leaving Leo repeatedly to turn the street when some roads were also closed by the police.

Somehow when he's on the clock there's a reason to delay his cause, he's getting so pissed off, he can't stand the puzzle of being found, Leo can't take it anymore to find the real perpetrator and make him suffer, Leo's really gonna make him pay for all of his pain.

Leo then finally parks his car in a simple house just walled off the picket fence, Leo doesn't know how many years he has not visited the house, Leo pulls his breath slowly before breathing, Leo believes the key to all the answers is in this house, leaving Leo to steady his steps before reaching out his hand to knock on the wooden door of the  house.
