Chapter 144: Chapter 144
Leo grimaced a bit when suddenly his hearing came back to his cries of his twins, prompting Leo to open his eyes again and instantly see alana smiling warmly at him while nursing Nicholas
"I think Nathan needs a new diaper. "Alana made Leo re-straighten his body and walk toward the crib to see Nathan crying out.
"Come on, kids, go to bed after dad changed diapers." Leo said, "start to wear diapers.
"He seems not full enough," said Leo, the maker of alana could only pull the corners of his lips.
"And after a few more minutes it must have been Nathan who was about to starve," alana blurted out the hand that led Leo to gently stroke her cheek.
"Aren't we supposed to hire a baby-sitter?" Asked Leo began to worry about alana's condition, which seemed genuinely exhausted from caring for their twins, but alana shook her head instead.
"I'm still able to take care of them, you don't have to worry, I'm not as weak as you think I am" said alana made Leo just breathe long enough to accept the decision of his wife, but in the beginning alana did agree with Leo not wanting to hire a baby-sitter for their twins, What they named Nicholas and Nathan means both victory and a gift from god that Leo and alana think was appropriate for their twin son, who was a symbol of victory as well as the most wonderful gift from the Lord to them.
"Well, I trust you'll take good care of them," Leo said as soon as he moved his body over alana's back.
"What are you doing, man?" Asked alana
"To accompany" Leo replied while continuing to massage his wife.
"Nicholas seems full of himself, so you can go back to sleep," says alana, who worries that his husband might be able to stay up all night to sleep, take care of their son when the next day he has to work at the office and confront his somewhat demanding secretary.
"Pedro can take care of it" Leo replied casually, making alana reel in his eyeballs.
"Yes and tomorrow morning he'll start terrorizing you again." alana answered quickly.
"He's naturally like that, so ignore it," Leo said casually, making alana just shrug her shoulders aside, alana then began to move from her seat and bring Nicholas into the crib, putting him slowly next to her twin brother Nathan.
Alana and Leo then looked at their newly week-old twins, still looking so small to make Leo afraid at times just to hold him.
"They fall asleep, we might as well go to sleep before they wake up again," said Leo, making alana nod after walking to bed, starting to lay her body down, alana not denying that her body seemed so tired from the presence of their twins, but it didn't matter to alana because all the tired seemed to fade just from gazing at the peaceful faces of her two sons who were so similar to Leo.
"I'm disappointed sometimes" alana blurts out a Leo who just shuts his eyes and looks at alana.
"Disappointed in what? "Leo asked
Disappointed because I was pregnant with them for nine months, but now they're nothing like me.
"So now my wife is moping" he teased Leo as he pinched alana's chubby cheek.
"Look at them, starting from the nose of the brow all sides like you, why don't one of them resemble me" he said.
"Since they're identical twins of course their faces will be the same" Leo answered making alana twist her eyes.
"Why be disappointed, isn't it nice that both your sons have handsome faces like his father" Leo replied.
"Well, that's what I'm grateful for, but their father is you," alana answered.
"Turn back the joke we should take a break," Leo said, pulling alana into his arms, making alana draw back on Leo's embrace, not letting her down so tightly, they began to close their eyes and sure enough, Leo thought, just a few minutes after they fell asleep, their twin sons were heard again.
"Who this time?" Leo murmured reluctantly in opening his eyes.
"Looks like Nathan." Alana answered, refusing to look at him and moved back out of bed, alana walked over to the crib, where Nathan fell silent at the sight of him.
"You hungry, baby?" Alana began to reach out and cuddle Nathan as quickly as he could then bring him to the bedside, alana immediately warmed herself to breast Nathan.
"He hungry?" Leo asked
"I don't know, but he just shuts up when I'm cradling him." alana induced Leo to open his eyes and stare at Nathan, who was silent.
"Maybe he just wants to play," alana replied, kissing Nathan on the cheek.
"Son, this is no time to play," Leo said, who was back in his bed, but the next second Leo heard his cries from Nathan make Leo back to straighten himself up
"I think he's sad you're scolding him," alana said.
"I'm not angry"
"Yes but you forbid him to play."
"So he knows I forbid it."
"Of course they can sense when their father is angry," alana responded, drawing Leo right up to Nathan and smelling his forehead.
"I'm sorry dear , I didn't scold you," Leo said affectionately, which instantly made Nathan's tears stop.
"It turns out they knew" Leo said in a little amazement.
"Of course because they have feelings, you think they're robots," alana induced Leo to just pull up the corners of his lips while watching alana and Nathan as he went back to sleep because it seemed like the dawn was about to break and Leo was having an important meeting, so he had to close his eyes for a moment at least so he could focus on leading it.
While alana only smiled to see Leo's weary face, alana was grateful to have Leo at his side and accompanied him through all the processes of alana's new life, alana wasn't sure she would be this powerful if not for her husband's, even alana had heard about some stories of people who were unable to handle mentally after giving birth, but thanks to Leo, alana was able to do it.
