Chapter 136: Chapter 136
Edgar frowned upon Leo's arrival, but it wasn't that that bothered Edgar a bit but the woman next to Leo who had been holding his hand since entering the restaurant door, of course who else would have been his wife.
Leo then walked over to the table where Edgar was already waiting for him, after which he pulled up a chair for his wife before she sat next to alana.
"Are you seriously going to talk business with your wife? "Asked Edgar, looking at alana glaring at him.
"What's the matter with me, I won't bother you, you can talk about your business and I'll enjoy the food in this restaurant that's so highly recommended by so many people" alana said to make Edgar just look over his shoulder, that he was already here, so there's no way Edgar would send Leo home and seems like Leo wouldn't follow his words if he told him to.
"Honey, could you please order me some food first before you talk about business?" alana blurted in her usual tone of concern, making Leo stretch out his hand and stroke alana's side of the face gently.
"Just pick a meal and I'll call the waiter," said Leo, making alana immediately turn her eyes to the menu, while Leo began talking to Edgar.
Alana immediately affected his hearing from the two men beside her, his focus on the pictures of food in front of the tantalizing, even unwittingly writing down a few menus.
"I'm done with my food. what do you want to eat?" Alana interrupted Leo and Edgar making Edgar a little mad at him with his eyebrows raised.
"Whatever you order, I will eat it." Leo responded, making alana smile after writing out an order for her husband.
"It's over, you can call the waiter now" alana said instantly getting protestant from the man in front of her.
"Wait a minute, you're ignoring the one person next to you, do you think I don't need to eat?" Asked Edgar if alana ignored him.
"You can order it yourself, you have hands to write it down and a mouth to call the waiter right instead" alana said to make Edgar feel if it was true that Leo's wife was actually waving the war flag on him.
"If you write my message in there, it'll save time, and I won't have to wait long, so can you write whatever you want on it like you wrote for Leo" Edgar's speech made alana pout but instead wrote down the request that Edgar wanted, then gave it to Leo and called the servants to prepare their orders.
Alana then chose to tamper with her phone rather than listen to any totally incomprehensible business talk between them,Then trying to find other tourist spots that he could still visit before he had to end his vacation with Leo, at least somewhere near their hotel that was enough.
"Honey, we're going to this place tomorrow. okay, we still have two days to end the holiday," alana blurted out Leo's talk and Edgar made Edgar fold his hands, staring at alana with a look of disdain.
"Would you please not interrupt our conversation first," Edgar said by making alana call back her defiant looks from the middle-aged man, as if she wasn't afraid of her intimidation.
"Hey, I'm just talking to my husband, I'm not interrupting you." alana answered casually.
"But the person to whom I'm talking is your husband, do you want me to look like a lunatic who's talking to people who ignore me when I talk" annoyed Edgar makes alana just turn her eyes lazy.
"Honey, dinner's about to be ready soon, so just hang on for a little bit and we can talk about it later after the hotel." said Leo trying to talk some sense into alana that was a little disturbing with her conversation with Edgar.
"All right then" alana responded with a little nagging, allowing Leo to just pull the corners of his lips and complain the side of his face gently caused Edgar to twist his eyes back to see the tenderness between Leo and alana, who seemed to be caught in alana's eyes.
"Bet you're pissed off instead of looking at us flirting" alana grunt with a look on the phone that put Edgar directly in his eye with his eyebrows raised.
"What was that sentence you showed me?" Edgar made alana shrug her shoulders.
"I don't know, I'm just saying what I want my mouth to say," alana answered.
"Hey, I've lived in this world longer than half your life. I've been on the face of this earth, so I've been on the edge of it so you can't be too proud to boast of it." Edgar said in a tone of exasperation for alana made alana put down her phone and stare ata middle-aged man with a scar on his left face.
"I don't think you've ever been a man like my husband, I'm curious about the woman you've so warmly treated, given your coldness I've got a chill in her face all of a sudden" alana blurted out some expression on Edgar's face, instantly resounding in the words of alana, who's the only one he's ever treated so differently from any other woman he's been in his life.
But it was so cruel of him that Edgar had to let him go without answering or making him happy first, and it seemed as though Leo noticed the change in Edgar's face made Leo pull alana's shoulder over his back.
"Stop arguing with Edgar, he's too tired to think about the project I gave him, so let's just wait for your meal" to make alana finally breathe.
While Edgar could only turn his gaze in the other direction, somehow more he saw the woman who stopped by his heart, desperately every day trying to get rid of the guilt, but the nightmare was always building up in Edgar's arms, they were about to go back to the business as they were at the moment, Not even one waitress needs three waitresses to bring in the refreshments they make Leo and Edgar stare at her in disbelief.
"All of the menus you brought to this table" Leo asked, leaving the three servants nodding afterward, Edgar and Leo looking at alana staring ata meal that wasn't even on the table with a sparkling gaze.
"You're sure you're going to eat all that food" Edgar asked in a nonbelieving look that only earned alana's enthusiastic nod.
"Your wife is like you haven't fed her for a week," Edgar says, making Leo just stare at alana with a warm smile.
