A sheepish smile formed on my lips when yesterday's events flash in my mind. Oh, how he kissed me in front of mother. Thinking about it gave me butterflies.

As I was thinking, I looked at the time and left to meet Candice. At home, the time is not passing, I am glad she called. I was about to leave but mother asked,

"Where are you going?"

"To meet Candice. Time isn't passing at all." I whined as mother chuckled,

"Take care." She kissed my forehead and I left.

I went to a cafe and saw her. We hugged as she squeaked, she was elated upon seeing me,

"In months, you looked like a graceful woman." She complimented. I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing. I looked at myself then at her,

"You sure?" I asked as she grinned and nodded. We then took a seat and began to chat.

"Why didn't you tell me about your relationship with him?" She asked.

"I.. just.." I shyly trailed off to persuade her and it worked as she laughed,

"Oh, How shy." She winked. She also believed in that press conference so I have to play along with it.

"So how's your married life?" She asked.

"Great. He is so nice." I smiled.

"I still can't believe that you and him are in a relationship for that long." She said. Yeah, he indirectly knows me since the moment I was born but we have known each other practically for four months. Oh, how long!

"Yeah.. we were quite close.. and unintentionally fell for each other." I said with a faint smile.

"How did you guys meet?" She is really intrigued.

"We have known each other for quite a while." I said monotonously.

"But still, how?" She asked as her blue eyes shone.

"Uh.. we were family friends." I said as she nodded. "That means you have known each other since childhood?!" She almost shouted in enthusiasm.

"I was just a child. But yeah, in a sense." I said putting my index finger on my chin. Well, it's kinda true.

Then we talked for a while and I felt good. It's good to have someone to talk to.

"And that guy, what does he think of himself, I can't believe someone can be that rude." Candice growled talking about a guy whom she fought with.

"Calm down.. I can feel that rage of yours." I said gently, trying to calm her. She took a deep breath and cursed him under his breath.

"Candice. Watch it." I scolded her and she sighed again. "Sorry, just his existence made my whole being to burn in rage. It was raining and I was waiting outside the library and he called me a beggar when he saw me!!" She burned, rolling her eyes off. I heaved, as she continued to talk about the guy she met quite a while ago and now consider him her enemy.

As we were talking- no, she was cursing that guy, I spoke up,

"By the way, Christian has planned a surprise for me. I want to look beautiful for it." I said looking away. I need a girl's advice so I thought it would be best to ask her.

"We had a fight and I.." I trailed off as she took a hold of my wrist and took me out of the cafe.

"Oh, love, I'm gonna make you look so beautiful that his jaw will drop to the floor." She smirked as she took me away with her.

"What about m-money?" I asked slightly embarrassed.

"it's on me sweetheart." She grinned as I complained, "But-'

"No buts. I'm gonna make you look so stunning." She said- admired.

"We can do it at my place." I said but she shook her head and took me to a mall.

"Come, let's get you a dress." She chirped as I tilt my head.

"No, you don't have to." I tried to reason but she is just not listening.

She took out a few dresses and pushed me into the try room. I tried a lot of dresses and now I am feeling so tired but she is so amused and looks at me in awe.

I tried a red off shoulder backless frock. It's above my knees. It's front and sleeves were adorned with sequin, It was so pretty.

When I walked out Candice's mouth gaped in appreciation.

"It's so beautiful. We're gonna buy this." She exclaimed as she bought the dress.

She then took me to a salon.

"I think it's too much." I said as I turned to leave but she held my arm and dragged me inside.

We both had a manicure then a facial and all that beauty stuff I have rarely done in my life.

"You know, a relaxation like this is important once in a while." She said emitting a deep breath. I smiled as I also relaxed. She's right, I should forget everything and allow myself to submerge in that lull.

Then I have a haircut. They trimmed my hair and curled them slightly. I smiled and looked at my reflection. I look so beautiful.

"Thank you very much Candice." I thanked her.

"What are you talking about? I just want details of your night~" She winked as I blushed slightly. She then laughed and said,

"Always remember, you have a friend you can talk to. Even if we don't meet daily but we are close." She said sincerely. I hugged her tightly and then we pulled away,

"And yeah, I'll be at your place at 4. I'll do your makeover. I'm really good at it." She said proudly. I chuckle and said,

"I am staying at my mother's place for now. Tonight, he's gonna take me back." I said.

"Sounds romantic." She said and I nodded.

"I'll send you the address." I said.

"Okay then, See you lady." She teased.

"I'll say the same for you when you're gonna have your date." I retorted.

"We'll see." She laughed off.

"Bye." I said.
