Chapter 62: Chapter 62
Chapter 60
Becky's POV
My eyes dimmed, I was sleeping on the milk-colored couch of grandma's house with a thick blanket over my body.
my actions last night, but still wondering how I got back home.
"Wake up sleepy head" I could see Nancy staring at me smiling.
"What Happened," I asked sitting up on the chair.
"Becky is so sorry for your loss, I came as fast as I was called," Nancy said handing me a bottle of water.
Tears gathered around my eyes. Grandma ought to be here right now and my fucking head is supposed to be on her laps while she sings her usual lullaby!
"Thanks" I found my voice again.
"Coffee?" She asked.
"No, water would be just fine" i
Sipped the water slowly watching the gifts I have taken to grandma on her birthday.
Life without grandma would be hell. Just me alone in this huge house, no care and affection no more it's just me now.
"I do know how it feels to lost someone dearest to oneself. I felt the same way when my mother died" Nancy started.
"Look it's fine. I'd just get more rest then I would be good to go* my replies were wavy. Deep down I wanted someone to hug me tight and tell me this whole thing was a lie.
Nancy wouldn't want to leave me alone in this state. I could tell as she entered the kitchen to prepare something for us to eat.
My hands reached for my grandma's handcrafted knitted sweatshirt. It was her best wear last I could remember she even made it herself.
I clenched deep into the fabrics staring at nothing.
My stomach rumbled, I haven't eaten in two days. I felt discomfort, I quickly went to the bathroom to throw off the remaining particle of food I had in my stomach.
"Are you ok?" Nancy was setting the dinner table.
"Am fine"
"You should eat something" she insisted pulling me to sit facing the meal.
Deep down I have lost my appetite but on the other side, I was seriously hungry and thirsty too. I must eat!
"You should eat please. Keep yourself alive for your grandma, she wouldn't want to see you like this" Nancy added pointing a mouthful of potato puddy towards my mouth.
I ate slowly at first but for the next one, I increased my pace until I fed myself even faster munching and crunching.
Nancy is a good cook but not as good as grandma though.
"You seem hungry, I'd cook you some Noddles," Nancy said disappearing back to the kitchen.
"No am fine now" I replied gulping down water.
At that point, my soul has come back to my body. Food is really important to keep one in the right sense.
The rest of the day was well spent with Nancy and her dog. Although I didn't like dogs much her dog was really cute and nice.
I resulted to stop weeping about grandma. She has enjoyed her life. Maybe I should too!
AARON'S POV
The sound of the coal railway trains complimented the Russian morning, I stood up to discover that Terry wasn't there anymore.
"Fuck! Terry! Terry!" I screamed trailing him down to a river where he stood fishing.
"What's the matter, kid? You had a nightmare?" He withdrew his handcrafted hook and line with a fish dangling on its end.
"No not that but I think we should start walking towards the...."
"Walking? You can't walk on an empty stomach. Breakfast?" He stretched me a plate of roasted fish and I ate it hungrily
We did a lot of fun stuff that morning. Swimming and sliding. I got to know the meaning of the nineteenth thousand butterflies.
Butterflies signify a hard rare drug. And it caused nineteen million dollars per mini sachet.
"I got a mini sachet in my stomach. When we get to the base they would strip it off" that was the exact words before we started our journey to the transaction point.
First time in Moscow! I understood what Derick has been trying to explain to me and the other guys. This place sucks!
"Well, you have no rights in this part of the world. Watch this" Terry tore through the glass of a car despite the alarm no police officer or any other person could say a word to him.
Road trip with a stolen land cruiser. What more of an adventure could I get. I always had the instinct that I was a good driver but this guy is the best!
"Woah Woah Woah" I screamed as the off-road Jeep came off a cliff down to an old airstrip.
The tires grumbled against the rocks Rolling down the huge cliff and from the look of this thing my dear Indian was enjoying whatever he was doing.
The screeching noise of the brake caught me unaware Making me brace for impact but instead the car came to a stop at the gate of the abandoned airstrip.
"Here is your extraction point" he pointed at the structure in front of me
Weird, I thought Constantine airport was a new model one, not someplace where junk planes are kept.
I called Constantine Anatole and responded positively.
"Am at some old whacky Airstrip" I shouted as the signal was waving.
"Ok, arriving at your location in ten" he responded as the phone call ended.
"Terry you've been a friend. When I get out of here I'd make sure I remember you"
He laughed before a sigh.
"You are a dreamer Aaron and a joker you should be called Joseph or Kelvin Hart" Terry had a good laugh for the first time since the last 36 hours we have been together.
"What you mean?" I asked.
"Adriana doesn't free her goons she'd kill you brother"
Just then the jet landed on an Airstrip with Constantine and some others rushing towards us.
Terry's words still haunt me. I thought of it, the reward was far too big, and also she wouldn't want anyone to leak her secret too. How come I didn't think of him earlier?
"Terry Delhi, nice to meet you again," Constantine said as Terry was laid on an operation bed inside the plane ready for an operation.
"Constantine Anatole. It sucks seeing you" Terry replied.
I watched my first ever live operation as they tore the belly close to the appendix removing a tiny package of black substance.
Terry screamed all through the process.
"Sir, should we sew him up?" A nurse asked.
"No we don't need him anymore" Constantine attempted to shoot Terry but I divided him to the floor.
"Don't you fucking kill him!" I screamed but Constantine's bullet pierced Terry's chest.
I rushed towards Terry applying pressure on the wound.
"See kid, run away from her" he whispered to my ears before crashing to the ground.
I attempted to attack Constantine but my sight went a blur, my body weakened.
They pushed the rollable bed to the hatch.
"Terry! No!"
That was 61
