Chapter 12: Chapter 12

CHAPTER 11

Garage door slightly shifted, scattered tool everywhere. What the fuck could have happened here Jesus.

"AM COMING FOR YOU!" the inscription spelt out.

Did someone break into my house just to earn me? Fuck!

I couldn't think of anyone in particular but I got feuds with so many persons before. Drug Lord's, fellow smugglers and customers.

Those house immediately became boring as I was home alone. No family, no Becky nothing.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and the whole house was pounded with Christmas trees and decorations.

Merry Christmas kept chanting all over my neighborhood but I wasn't up on that mood. I just wanted only one person right now!

"Good morning neighbor" Mrs Peterson an old woman said as she held a bunch of flowers on her hand.

"Morning to you ma, those flowers are nice" I collected the flowers.

Other gift flocked in before I received the heavy parcel.

"Hello Aaron, check around the house if you can find my bracelet please" Becky's text read.

I quickly turned the house inside out to look for this bracelet but it wasn't here. Went through the whole place.

My cellphone rang for the sixth time that day.

"Hello Becky, I can't find your bracelet" I said.

"I am on my way. Am gonna look for it myself" she replied hanging up immediately.

Becky the one I have been expecting for centuries is Finally coming to my house.

This time maybe I could apologize properly to her. At this point I settled my heart that I once had her, I lost her and I can't get her anymore but still I just wanted to give a proper apology to my ex girlfriend.

"Anyone home!?" The feminine voice was really nice.

"Hey Becky, nice to see you" I opened the door.

"Hi" she replied coldly and brushed pass me straight to the third room upstairs to get her bracelet.

Stupid me, I didn't have any thoughts that the bracelet could have gone loose when she was dancing so I didn't check the room.

"I found it" she replied walking fast downstairs.

Her belly jeans hung well above her navel with a crop top complimenting the beauty.

She proceeded towards the front door but I ran after her stopping her from getting through the door.

"Out of my way" she said coldly.

"Fine, I just want to let you know that I am sorry!" I yelled as she proceeded through the door.

"Sorry for what exactly?" She turned back.

"For Everything" I replied.

"Merry Christmas Aaron" she replied coldly as she left the compound.

Now I was certified that I have lost her treasure. She was the baddest in the business, my sugar plum.

Christmas Eve is going to be so boring. Home alone with no one ready to come over. Benny would pick my calls, Jeff is with his family.

Fucked up.

I retired back to my room, got in the bath tub and had a slow bath not knowing what else to do that day.

Then a thought struck me. What if I don't need Becky to come over. Maybe I have been taking this whole thing one sided. Maybe I have to got to Becky this time.

I dried up, wore some casual wears running down to the garage. My Mercedes was a little bit dirty but I have no time to wash.

There is a wise saying that when a man is eager or anxious, it seems the day gets longer.

Drive to Becky's grandma's house wasn't up to 30 minutes but it seemed like a whole year to me. I drove into their drive way and knocked the door with a bottle of wine.

"Who is there?" An old trembling woman opened the door.

"Hi Granny Lisa" I greeted Becky's grandma.

We use to be very close then in the hood but I lost touch with her when we relocated here.

She was the reason I could last long with Becky in the last relationship. You think my mom knows anything about love? Just wait and see this granny.

"My boy, come give mama a hug. Where have you been? You forgot about me" she hugged me passionately like a wife seeing her military husband coming back from war after a long time.

"Mama, how have you been?" I asked.

"You know, I have been good and all. Becky give me little stress though" she laughed as she offered me a sit in her Garden.

Grandma always loved farming. She still planted some vegitables in her Garden.

"Is Becky around?" I asked.

"Yeah she just had to go get some groceries. Oh here she comes" grandma announced.

Becky was walking towards us with her headphones on her ears full focus on her phone. Such a pretty being.

"What are you doing here" she removed her head phones facing me.

"Becky that's not a nice way of treating your guest" grandma said lowly.

"Mama what is he doing here?" Becky fired.

"Becky go inside!" Grandma yelled for the first time.

Becky murmured inside the house. She dearly respects Grandma. Grandma has been her life support her whole life.

Her father was a big time drug smuggler. He was arrested 17 years ago even before Becky was born. He still has an extra 3 years jail term.

Her mother on the other hand had to remarry. Leaving her daughter alone in the hood. My father helped in bringing Becky and her grandma here away from the hood.

"Mama, it's ok. Maybe I should go" I said.

"Son be silent. What exactly are you here for?" she asked.

"Mama I just wanted to enjoy Christmas Eve with you and Becky. I am not here to ask her out or hurt her I swear" I replied truthfully.

"Do you think she still loves you after how you broke her heart. You left Becky heartbroken for almost three months I bore the burden. She didn't eat anything, she didn't talk to me, she just kept crying" grandma looks sober.

"Mama am sorry, I was still a kid then please forgive me" I begged.

"You are still a kid, despite your beards and masculinity you are a kid" she said.

"Yes ma, am a kid" I greatly respect this woman.

"Same old Aaron. You remember when Becky get mad at you when you guys were kid?" Grandma asked.

"Yes I remember it's large thou what part?" I asked confused.

"The part you get her angry. How do you apologise to her"

"That's it grandma. Thank you" I ran into the house.

"Just be a good boy for once" she yelled after me.

BECKYS POV

I am just upset with this Aaron of a human. He Is so annoying right now.

First you make me come to your place then you show up at my place. What exactly is this guy playing at?

I noticed grandma standing by my door way smiling as I paced round the room.

"You still love him don't you?" Grandma asked lowly.

"Mama...." That all I could say I fell on her shoulder hugging her slightly.

"I know you still love that boy Becky" she touched my head.

"But mama, I can't show that to him" I sobbed.

"Why?"

"Mummy I don't want to look cheap and desperate" this time real tears trickled down to my cheeks.

"Look I love you ok, you are not desperate. Don't be desperate at all just don't be cold either. Just go with the flow" grandma said.

"Ok that's fine I will try" I said as granny wiped my face with her napkin.

"I love you Mama" I hugged the old woman.

"Me too my love. Just chill out on this ok?" She made for the door.

"I will" I locked the door and slumped to the hard floor.

My love for Aaron was still very much active. I can barely stay close to him like I feel like kissing those lips every minutes, I feel like pleasuring him, I miss his head game, I miss everything about him. Toxic love? Guess no one is clean.

AARON'S POV

I rushed out to get some extra Christmas stuff and gifts for both Grandma and Becky. I bought Becky six feet red Teddy, a novel, a Louis Vuitton dress, a sparkling diamond necklace.

Two sided necklace. One part is an actual necklace and the second part is a medallion with her picture in it and a watch too.

The whole street was Christmas spirited. Merry Christmas rented the air. Lovers walking hand in hand in and out of the prestigious Chicago shopping mall.

Back home, grandma already lit up the Christmas trees and all the coloured bulbs. I ran upstairs greeting mama in a flash Heading straight for Becky's room.

I came to a halt at the guest room. Took a deep breath after dropping my bags there.

The guest room is directly opposite her room so I tried my best to be silent throughout my apology tutorials. Believe me when I tell you I don't know how to apologise like a proper apology. She always complains about that.

I braced up with confidence and knocked on her door awaiting a reply. A second knock still no reply.

"Becky are you in there?" I knocked the third time.

I slumped to the floor resting my back on the door.

"Becky please open the door, I need to talk to you" I knocked again and there was still no reply.

There was a loud banging noise and I stood with fear.
