Chapter 66: Chapter 66

Next morning....

Valeria woke up to find the entire mansion quiet, which was quite unusual.

She knew it was either they were having breakfast now, or Ergon was in his room playing video games.

She walked out of her room and she met Mrs Emily cleaning the dining table.

"Good morning ma'am," She greeted her and Mrs Emily smiled at her.

"How're you doing?" Emily asked.

"I'm fine, maam, " Valeria replied and she kept quiet for a while, not knowing how to start a conversation with Mrs Emily.

"Umm.. the mansion seemed quiet today. Where's everyone?" She asked.

"Well, the family took Noah to the airport," Mrs Emily replied.

"Airport?" She asked, wondering what he was going to do.

"Yes, Noah is traveling today, I bet he's already on his flight abroad." Mrs Emily said and Valeria sighed in relief.

She actually got scared thinking something bad had actually happened.

"But where's Ergon?" She asked. Mrs Emily stopped what she was doing and she turned to Valeria.

"What's with the questions? Go look for him yourself, instead of gossiping around, make yourself useful," Mrs Emily scolded, and Valeria instantly knew she'd crossed her limit.

"I'm sorry," She apologized and she scurried away.

At the airport...

Different people could be seen walking around the airport, as they pulled their bags along with them.

The airport was crowded and filled with different people booking their flights.

Noah sat together with Shiella and Ergon. They were actually waiting for when Noah's flight would be ready to take off.

"Son, I can't believe you're traveling without me by your side. I can still recall how I take you with me whenever I'm traveling," Shiella said, and Ergon scoffed.

Noah smiled at his mum, and held her hands.

"It's fine mum, I'm okay. I'm now a grown man, so please don't worry about me," Noah said, and he gently squeezed his mother's hands.

"Still, I just can't help it."

"Can you stop acting like he's your only child? I'm here too," Ergon stated. He was getting fed up with her sentimental talk.

"You're still my son too, but let me speak to your elder brother for now? He's leaving any minute from now and I don't know when he'll be back. Don't I have the right to worry about him?" Shiella asked. Ergin didn't say a word further, and rather looked away from her.

"All passengers please board your flights," a voice announced.

Noah immediately stood up, he smiled at his mum and he took his bag.

"Bye mum, I'll keep in touch," Noah said, and he walked away.

He was about to get onto the plane when Shiella screamed loudly.

"Take care son, mommy loves you so much." Shiella yelled, attracting the onlookers who smiled at her.

She was only showing her love as a mother.

Noah couldn't help it, he ran back and he pulled her into a bone-crushing embrace.

"I'll miss you mum," he sniffed.

"I'll miss you son," Shiella muttered, almost in tears.

Noah pulled away from the embrace and he hugged Ergon also.

"I'll miss you!" He uttered, sincerely.

"I wish you'd never return," Ergon whispered to him.

Noah pulled away immediately. He took his gaze at his mother and he waved at her, before leaving for the plane.

"I'll miss you Valerie, I mean, everything about you." He smiled, remembering the countless sex they had.

"Have a safe flight." He heard his mother say, and smiled.

The tears began streaming down Shiella's cheeks, she kept on looking at Noah until she could see him no more.

Ergon looked at Shiella, and he scoffed.

"Can we go already?" Ergun asked, impatiently.

Shiella sniffed, and wiped off her tears with her handkerchief.

"May the heavens protect my son," Shiella prayed.

She left the airport and went outside to where their car was parked.

The driver was already seated in the driver's seat, ready to take off, and Ergon was comfortably seated in the back seat.

Shiella got in, and the driver drove off immediately.

Shiella said nothing, she only stared at Ergon.

Ergon felt her gaze on him, and he turned to look at her.

"What?" He asked. Shiella shook her head sadly.

"You know, I can literally tell you didn't say a proper goodbye to your brother." Ergon scoffed.

"That's what you think."

"What you did back there wasn't nice at all. Noah is your elder brother. You should have kept your differences aside and said a proper goodbye to him. You didn't even wish him a safe flight," Shiella scolded.

"Please mother, I did say goodbye to him, or what do you expect me to have done? Should I have screamed and jumped and cried so you'll see how much I truly miss him?" Ergon asked sarcastically.

Shiella shook her head sadly.

"I never expected any of this from you. I'm disappointed in you, big time," Shiella stated.

Ergon took a quick glance at his mom, speechlessly.

And the rest of the drive home was quiet.

The car pulled up in front of the mansion. Ergon was the first to come out, he met Valeria standing outside, and he pulled her inside with him.

Shiella got down from the car, and she sighed deeply when she saw what Ergon did. Her heart was literally in pain. She knew he was upset, but there was nothing she could do. She couldn't take back her words, she was truly disappointed in Ergon, and she didn't regret leaving him .

"What's wrong with you?" Valeria asked, staring at Ergon, who had a frown on his face. They both sat on his bed.

"It's nothing."

"Great, so you dragged me out here for nothing?"

"Please, Valeria, not now, don't start." He stated, quite angrily.

"I don't understand you, Ergon, you were the one who dragged me out here, and now you're giving me the cold shoulders," Valeria fumed.

She angrily walked away from him.

Ergon groaned, and ruffled his hair in frustration.

"Damn it!"
