Chapter 44: Chapter 44
The thought of telling Valeria about this crossed Ergon's mind, but he immediately brushed it off, he must have been crazy to even think about it in the first place.
He sighed deeply, then he bowed his head in sadness.

Valeria was done solving the equation, the whole class were amazed, even Professor Wax wasn't left out.
"Oh my God, she must be so smart," A girl said.
"Yes, can't believe she solved the equation even when she wasn't paying attention." Another said.
"I actually thought she wouldn't be able to do it, I thought she would get in trouble." Another said.
Shiela looked around and everyone was just talking about Valeria, they were even praising her. This made her blood boil. She looked at Valeria and she glared at her with so much hate in her eyes.
"Here you go sir." Valeria said, giving the marker to the Professor.
"Valeria." Professor Wax called as he took the marker.
"I must say, you're pretty smart, it was brilliant of you to solve this equation."
"Good job Valeria, keep it up. If you don't slack, I have no doubt you'll graduate with perfect scores." Professor Wax said. Valeria smiled brightly.
"Thank you Professor Wax."
"You can go to your seat now," he said.
Valeria made to leave, but he stopped her.
"Wait, Valeria," he said, and she turned to face him once more.
"Yes Professor." Valeria answered nervously.
"I know you're smart, but do pay attention." He said sternly, but you could actually see the corner of his lips twitching.
Valeria chuckled softly.
"Yes Professor." She answered, then she went back to her seat.
"You're so cool Valeria." The girl sitting beside her complimented her.
"Thank you Courtney." Valeria smiled.
"So, let's continue with the class," Professor Wax said.

It was lunchtime, everyone had already left the class, it was just Valeria and Shiela that were in the class.
Valeria was busy packing her bag when Shiela walked up to her.
She purposely pushed the book on Valeria's table onto the floor.
"Oops, my bad." She smiled.
Valeria picked up her book, put it in her bag, then she stood up and glared at Shiela.
"You did that on purpose, Shiela," she stated angrily.
"Really? And so what?" Shiela replied, folding her hands.
"What will you do? Do yours back? Well sorry honey, I ain't got no book with me, so there's no way you'll actually be able to get back at me." Shiela laughed.
"I have no time for your nonsense, Shiela. Just get lost and stop bothering me, will you?" Valeria said. She was already fed up with Shiela and her troubles, she was always trying to pick a fight with her all the time.
" Aw, are you scared? After all, Ergon isn't here to save you, your so-called boyfriend." Shiela scoffed.
"I don't need Ergon to save me from you, I can deal with you myself, you're nothing Shiela." Valeria smirked.
"Whatever you say, and since I don't see Ergon here, I bet he must be tired of you already, and believe me, I'm sure he has already found somebody else. The person might not be as good as you at solving equations, but I'm sure she's prettier than you and even tastes better down there." Shiela winked.
"Like I said before, Shiela, I don't have time for you and your nonsense, so, get out." Valeria said, she grabbed her bag, then she pushed Shiela aside and left the classroom.
"Bitch." Shiela cursed.
"Where is Ergon, by the way?" She thought.
"I should try looking for him, I'm sure he's in school today." She muttered, then she left.
Since she didn't have money to buy food at the cafeteria, she decided to walk around, and besides, since she started schooling here, she hadn't toured around the place.
She smiled and she continued walking. No one was with her to accompany her because they were all in the cafeteria.
She went to the swimming pool and she smiled.
"This school is actually the best I've seen, they even have a pool." She thought, this is actually the first time she'd seen it.
There were restrictions so she couldn't go too close to the pool.
She sighed and she made to leave, but her eyes saw some flowers blocking the entrance of a place she couldn't see clearly.
Curiosity got the best of her and she walked to the place.
She got there and that's when she realized it was a garden.
"Wow, they also have a garden." She smiled.
"This is the perfect site I need right now." She said, and she went in.
"This is nice." She giggled, staring around. She'd never seen such a beautiful sight in her entire life.
She smiled but she pursed her lips when she noticed she wasn't the only one there.
She could hear sobs from someone. She looked forward and that was when she saw someone.
She walked to the person and she asked.
"Are you alright?"
The person slowly raised his head up and she saw it was Ergon.
"Ergon??, what are you doing here? I've been worried sick about you, and why're you crying?." She bombarded him with questions.
Ergon stood up and he made to leave but she grabbed him by his arm.
"Don't you dare walk away from me, I won't let you do that." She said angrily.
"Let go of me!" Ergon said.
"No Ergon, no!, I won't, I know you're going through something, and it's hurt to know you can't confide in me." She said bitterly.
"I'm sorry Valeria, but I want to be left alone. If you love me like you claim, you'll respect my decision," he said slowly. She could still see the trail of tears in his eyes.
"I love you and that's why I won't respect your decision, Ergon, you're going nowhere." She retorted.
"You see, I'm going crazy!" He said and he finally broke down.
He held her and he hugged her, crying on her shoulders.
"It's fine, Ergon, you can get through this." She encouraged, patting his back.
