Chapter 85: Chapter 85

Shen Qiao glared angrily, but when faced with the problem ahead, she blurted out the answer without thinking, "If I go to your apartment, you definitely won’t make me breakfast, so I want to stay at a hotel. I have money, I’ll treat you to stay!"

"I’m really thankful," Rong Qingqing said, turning the steering wheel and driving towards the hotel she had stayed at a few days ago, while asking, "Tell me why you got into a fight."

Shen Qiao pouted, "I turned in my test this morning, and in the afternoon math class the teacher praised me, said I was the only one in the class who got a perfect score, and asked me to explain the problem-solving process to the class..."

Shen Qiao sniffed, "I couldn’t do it, so the teacher knew the test wasn’t done by me and criticized me in class. I knew I was wrong, so I didn’t argue, but after class, a group of annoying people tore up my test paper and said a lot of nasty things."

"I thought about it, and what you told me yesterday was right. No matter what happens with Dad and Brother, I’m still the daughter of the Shen Family, and the daughter of the Shen Family shouldn’t be bullied, so I fought back and got into a fight with them!" Shen Qiao huffed, "I was fierce in the fight and made them all cry."

"So you thought about my words all night and concluded that you shouldn’t be bullied and should fight back?" Rong Qingqing facepalmed, "When I say you’re an idiot, you proudly live up to it without any humility."

Saying this, Rong Qingqing nodded and added, "So, the incident happened because of a test I helped you with last night, and are you avoiding my calls because you’re mad at me?"

"At first I was, but not anymore," Shen Qiao added, "You’re more skilled than Brother Bufan. When Brother Bufan helped me with my tests, the teacher didn’t notice and I only scored 45. Sister Qingqing, you’re amazing! You actually got a perfect score in eighth-grade math!"

Rong Qingqing nearly spit blood.

She didn’t feel complimented at all.

Sorry, she actually felt a bit offended.

If she didn’t get a perfect score in eighth-grade math, she’d feel guilty considering all her math competition trophies.

"What’s your usual score in math?" Rong Qingqing asked curiously.

"With good luck, maybe in the twenties or thirties. Without luck, in the teens," Shen Qiao replied.

"You have the same parents. How did your brother become so brilliant while you became such a slacker?" Rong Qingqing said, "Your brother is praised even by professors in the math department. How come you didn’t inherit even a little bit of his brains?"

"Well, obviously my parents passed all the good genes to my brother first! By the time it got to me, there was nothing good left to pass down!"

Shen Qiao replied confidently, "My poor performances in math aren’t my fault but my brother’s for taking all the good stuff first!"

Rong Qingqing was dumbfounded that such a person exists who can disassociate her poor study habits from herself entirely.

"Qiaoqiao, good thing you’re not my real sister; otherwise, with that brain, I might have already knocked some sense into you," Rong Qingqing sighed.

Half an hour later, the car arrived at the hotel. Rong Qingqing tossed the car keys to the bellboy, grabbed her suitcase, and walked in with Shen Qiao.

While checking in, the receptionist casually asked, "One room or two?"

Rong Qingqing instinctively turned to look at Shen Qiao, who pondered for a few seconds before shyly asking, "Can I stay in the same room with you?"

Once Rong Qingqing nodded, Shen Qiao immediately told the receptionist loudly, "One deluxe king room!"

Five minutes later, the two entered the room.

Shen Qiao ran inside with her backpack, overflowing with joy.
