Chapter 30: Chapter 30
I let my future father-in-law and my future husband lead me down the wide, light blue corridor and briefly thought about the fact that they were both Mafiosi, which suddenly made me laugh out loud.
Immediately they both looked at me confused and even though I was really miserable I couldn't stop smiling which probably worried Enzo even more.
"Did you give her drugs?!", he asked his son in a stern voice and after we walked into a room on the right, they carefully helped me to sit down on the bed and I just lay on my side, exhausted the mattress fall.
"Of course not!", Gino defended himself and while I took a closer look at the small room with the white painted walls, the two started to argue loudly.
"It's not so natural with you!"
"With all due respect Dad, do you seriously think I would need to drug my wife!?"
"Aren't you the one who wanted to sell them in the beginning?" Dario intervened, who just entered the room and smiled at me and put the water on the side table in front of me before he turned to Gino again.
"Because she owed you! I didn't take her away from her uncle! You gave the order!"
"Oh, now it's my fault?!" Enzo wanted to know angrily and while the three of them kept arguing, I was the only one who noticed the young doctor in the doorway. Wearing a white coat with a light blue t-shirt underneath, he quietly entered the room to lean his back against the wall and watch the three of them. He gave me a fleeting nod, listening to Gino's loud words and crossing his arms.
"Oh! Now I'm the culprit?! Didn't you want me to marry her!", he yelled at his father and when Dario wanted to put his hand on his shoulder, Gino slapped it away and grabbed his brother angrily targeted. "Don't touch me, idiota! The few touches you can allow should be given to your whore, not to me!"
There was a tearing silence in which the three of them stared at each other reproachfully and would probably have fought if the doctor with the blond hair hadn't cleared his throat at the same time.
"Good evening, gentlemen," he spoke into the silent, menacing atmosphere and all three of them immediately stared at him in irritation, slowly recovering from the heated discussion. "I would like to speak to the patient alone."
"You'd like that!" Gino retorted immediately possessively, standing right in front of me so I could only examine his back while I tried to stay awake.
"I'm not going either," Enzo said, leaning on the end of the bed to give me a fleeting wink when I looked down at him in surprise.
"Okay, then I'll stay too," Dario was the last to explain and stepped next to his father to examine the doctor with folded arms.
I almost felt sorry for the poor guy more than myself, as I thought he would be intimidated by the three mafia bosses around me, but when Gino took a step to the side and I eyed the doctor curiously, he seemed completely unimpressed.
"Either you go out now, or I'll call security," he smiled politely and fixed on Gino, whose gaze wandered to me.
"If you want me to stay, then-"
"It's okay," I whispered and although I certainly didn't want to be alone with the doctor, I didn't want everything to escalate right away.
"Call me if something happens," he whispered to me and gave me a gentle kiss on my hairline to be the first to run to the doctor. "If I hear even the slightest complaint from her, you can test what it's like to have to sew your balls back on yourself!"
"Gino!" Enzo warned and yanked Gino outside with him while Dario followed them and gave me an encouraging smile at the door. Then the door closed and I looked slightly panicked as the doctor grabbed a chair from the side of the room to sit right in front of me on the bed.
"Ludovica Grasso, right?" he asked calmly, looking deep into my eyes as he placed his warm hand on my wrist.
"Si," I breathed back, looking down at his hand as he increased the pressure while staring at his watch.
"I'm Adam," he then introduced himself, letting go of my wrist. "I hope it's okay if we use first-name terms?"
"Si," I said again and he nodded imperceptibly.
"Ludovica, are you under a lot of stress at the moment?" he asked quietly and when I looked at him questioningly, he turned to the door and then looked at me again. "Or problems in the family?"
Basically, I couldn't remember ever having lived a stress-free life, so I shrugged my shoulders helplessly.
"No more than usual."
He nodded again and suddenly gave me his hand.
"I'd like to weigh you for a moment," he explained, and after I sat on the edge of the bed, he got up and pulled a far from modern-looking scale from a corner of the room. "How tall are you?"
"1.65," I replied, watching him place the scale in front of me.
He gave me his hand again and helped me to stand up. I was still slightly dizzy and I quickly got on the scales because I wanted to sit down again right away.
I looked at him questioningly, but he didn't say anything about my weight and seemed worried for a moment until he noticed my gaze and smiled encouragingly.
"52 kg. It's just about normal," he explained and I immediately fell back into bed.
He set the scale aside again and took a small pad and pen from his smock.
"When was the last time you ate?"
I had to think for a moment and didn't remember, so I shrugged and he frowned.
"Drunk?"
I shrugged again.
"Do you take drugs or drink alcohol?"
"No, but I smoked my first cigarette a few hours ago," I answered truthfully, and he suddenly smiled stupidly.
"It's good that you remember at least that."
Did he mean that ironically?
"Fine, are you on the pill?"
"No."
"Have you had unprotected sex?"
I stared at him wide-eyed, not knowing what he was even thinking by asking me such a question. It seemed rude to me and I glared at him slightly irritated.
"I want my fiancé to be allowed back in!"
He looked at me thoughtfully and slipped the pad back into his smock.
"Ludovica, I'm assuming you had a fainting fit. Since you just mentioned your fiancé, you must have your hands full planning the wedding. This is pure stress for young women and unfortunately they also forget to drink and eat," he babbled, and I wanted to roll my eyes, but I didn't. If he knew I was sold, shot, and thrown at old men, I'm sure he wouldn't be talking nonsense like that.
"So," he said and turned to the door. "Please take it easy and pay more attention to yourself and your body. He will show you what it needs to stay healthy. Should I inform your fiancé about everything?"
I just nodded and got up a bit to take the glass of water that Dario had set out for me while the others came back into the room.
Dario stayed by the doctor with Gino and they both seemed to be listening to him intently.
"You okay?" Enzo asked, tearing my eyes away from the three.
"I guess I'm too weak for the mafia," I said with a mild smile and he put his hand on mine to look at the other three, who were suddenly talking louder and louder.
"Fainting? Are you kidding?!"
"Just listen to him!"
"It's none of your business! What do you even want here?!"
"I'm here because you don't seem to know how to take care of a woman!"
"Take care of yours first!"
-
My gaze fell to Enzo for help, who, like me, was watching Dario and Gino, who hardly let the doctor finish speaking and who were beating each other up.
"Will they stop at some point?" I whispered, overwhelmed by this excess of dominance, and rolled onto my back gasping for breath, causing Enzo to immediately turn to the two of them.
"Enough!" he interrupted them in such a firm, dark voice that even I, whom he didn't even speak to, got scared of him. "That's exactly what's driving everyone around you crazy! No wonder Ludovica is in the hospital now! Stubborn heads!", he shook his head and ran towards Dario. "We're going home now! Immediately! And tomorrow we'll have a serious talk!"
At that moment you could really feel that Enzo was still someone who wasn't contradicted, despite the fact that he thought he was just a family man.
Dario left the room without any objection and I was surprised at all that he started such a heated discussion with Gino. Wasn't he always very calm and controlled in his body language and his statements? What happened?
"Please give your fiancée some rest. This is what she needs most," the doctor reminded Gino again of my condition, who immediately turned around and approached me with a worried expression.
"Mi dispiace, amore mio," he apologized, glancing at the glass of water next to me and then eyeing me again. The concern in his eyes was completely new to me and eager for his closeness, I raised my upper body and stretched my arms towards him, which made him smile so beautifully that I had to smile too, despite my persistent dizziness.
"Little duck," he whispered, hugging me tightly and kissing my neck gently. "Apparently I really need to take better care of you."
I listened to his heartbeat, enjoyed his hand caressing my back and closed my eyes to let the scent of his familiar perfume wash over me, causing me to breathe in and out calmly and relaxed.
"Why actually duck?" I wanted to know again and he broke away from me slightly to look at me with a grin.
"You remind me of someone," he said and I felt that uncomfortable pull in my stomach again that could hardly be ignored.
"Another woman?" I asked and he immediately looked at me like I was completely insane.
"You know I've never been in a relationship," he explained, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. "You are the first and last."
I swallowed hard, feeling my heart pounding against my ribs. I was aware that Gino was someone who only used women for sex and that I was the first one he was forced on, but when he emphasized that I would be the last too, it all really got real to me.
"So, shall we?" he asked, standing up, but somehow I still felt weak and just looked up at him in embarrassment.
"I don't know if I can walk-"
Without letting me finish, he simply put one arm under my knees and the other under my neck, so I clutched his neck for support.
"Just hold on. I'll do the rest, amore mio."
With me in his strong arms, he ran out of the room and down the hall, only to pause outside in the fresh air.
"Do you actually have hobbies or something?" he asked slightly awkwardly and then walked on to the car, in front of which he carefully dropped me.
"Hobbies?" I repeated, pondering if being kidnapped counted as a hobby while gazing thoughtfully up at the moon.
"Yeah, things like that you like to do."
He obligingly held the door of the car open for me and looked at me expectantly.
"Well, I like listening to music," I said thoughtfully and he raised an eyebrow to shake his head with a smile.
"It's not a hobby."
"What hobbies do you have?" I asked a counter question and then carefully dropped onto the seat.
"I like to fuck," he grinned and slammed the door. Luckily, because I didn't want him to see how red I was blushing at that moment. Why did he always have to state such things so clearly?!
As he got in beside me, I gave him a sober look and then crossed my arms.
"It's not really a hobby either," I told him my opinion and immediately he leaned over and brushed my hair gently off my shoulder, causing goosebumps on the back of my neck and me holding my breath.
"Hobbies should be fun," he whispered in an excited voice, running his hand over my thigh. I got even more dizzy than I already felt, but I enjoyed it and closed my eyes while he slipped his hand under my dress. "And you should pursue your hobbies as often as possible," he whispered in my ear and at that moment reached my wet middle with his fingers, which he gently stroked, which elicited a soft moan from me.
"Come here," he commanded, grabbing my neck to turn my face to his. Our eyes locked and while he pushed my panties aside, he pulled me into a passionate kiss at the same time and conquered my mouth so stormy with his tongue that I started to tremble slightly from excitement.
"Shall I continue?" he breathed questioningly into my mouth and immediately I spread my legs further apart and put my hand on his cheek after which he inserted two fingers into me.
"My God, Ludo," he whispered, biting my lower lip lightly. "You make me Crazy!"
"Don't stop," was the only thing I managed to get out of my mouth while he steered me further and further to my climax with the rhythmic movements of his fingers. He knew exactly how to touch me and as I groaned more and more frequently, he broke our kiss and looked deep into my eyes.
"Come on, baby," he breathed, biting his bottom lip to watch me closely as I climaxed, moaning, losing myself in the depths of his irises while the muscles around his fingers flexed almost painfully contracted from the overwhelming feeling.
"Oh God, Gino," I uttered, exhausted, letting my head fall on his shoulder. He straightened my panties properly, then stroked my back soothingly and gave me the time I needed to collect myself to some extent.
"We'll manage it all," I heard him say and carefully leaned back in my seat to smile gratefully at him. "But now I'll put you to bed first."
A wink from him and he started the car with a view of the parking lot to take me home safely.
During the entire drive, I listened to the soft music on the radio and kept wandering to the questions in my head how it was possible that Gino, like Dario, could change so much in such a short time.
Somehow it all seemed so impossible to me, but I just accepted it. The doctor was definitely right and I should listen to my body and it felt more than comfortable next to Gino at the moment.
My gaze fell back to him and he seemed lost in thought himself as he drove the car, yawning and rubbing his eyes over and over again. He looked really cute, so tired and innocent, which made me chuckle softly. It was just absurd that I was thinking about him like that right now.
He glanced over at me with a raised eyebrow and a grin, putting his hand on my thigh before turning his attention back to the road.
"What made you laugh, anatra?" he asked and I also turned my gaze out the windshield to give myself a goofy smile.
"I didn't know you could be cute too," I said quietly, embarrassed, causing him to squeeze my thigh lightly, which made me giggle even more.
"I didn't know either, but apparently you make me discover new sides of myself."
