The students looks Billy as he leaves and they feel disappointed then they leaves one after the other talking about what happen, Xiao Xie run as fast as she could to the front of her room with the flower still in her hand without her realizing it, when she gets to the front of her room she stop and breath heavily, she sees that she is still holding the flower and instantly drop the flower on the floor, she is breathless and her mind is in chaos, she wait to calm down before she will go into the room but her mother suddenly comes out of the room "You are here" her mother to her "why are you like this? Her mother asks looking at her panting "don't you say you are going to get drinks?" Xiao Xie’s mother said again looking at Xiao Xie in surprise "I will be going back now" her mother tells her when she notice that Xiao Xie did not answer any of her questions
Xiao Xie nods her head to respond to her mother and force a smile, her mother take two steps then look back when Xiao Xie did not bother to accompany her "am really going" Xiao Xie’s mother said again “okay, I will call you" Xiao Xie said and went into the room, her mother did not understand why she is like that, Xiao Xie’s mother thinks that Xiao Xie is angry because she did not leave when Xiao Xie ask her to leave so Xiao Xie’s mother did not think much about it and went her way
As Billy is coming from the college he sees Xiao Xie's mother leaving the college also, Billy immediately pack his car and comes down "mother" Billy’s calls Xiao Xie’s mother, Xiao Xie's mother is surprise to hear someone calling her mother and she looks back then sees Billy, Xiao Xie’s mother is even more surprise to see Billy "you are the grandson of that old man" Xiao Xie's mother said to Billy as Billy gets closer to her "yes" Billy quickly answer "Billy is my name" Billy said that so that Xiao Xie's mother will not call him that old man's grandson again "are you also in this college?" Xiao Xie's mother asks curiously "no" Billy replies "oh! Okay" Xiao Xie's mother said and seems to be disappointed "mother, let me give you a ride" Billy said pointing to his car, Xiao Xie's mother look at Billy’s car and hesitate for sometime "okay, I even want to discuss something with you" Xiao Xie's mother said to Billy "really!" Billy let out happily "yes" Xiao Xie's mother replies softly, Billy leads Xiao Xie’s mother to the car and drive her to a nearby coffee shop for them to talk
After they bought the coffee, Billy sit down facing Xiao Xie's mother, Xiao Xie's mother look down for sometime before she speaks "I really don't want to say this to you” Xiao Xie’s mother said and pause “but I think I should say it as a mother" she continues "the last time Xiao Xie came to Beljing from the village, did she meet with you?" Xiao Xie's mother ask Billy looking at his face, Billy immediately avoid Xiao Xie’s mother’s eyes and nod his head in yes
When Xiao Xie's mother sees Billy say yes, she sigh deeply "after Xiao Xie came back, she cries a lot and also curse at your name, that is how I knew she met with you" Xiao Xie’s mother said slowly "I will not ask what happen between you two, but I just want to tell you not to make her cry" Xiao Xie's mother tells Billy sincerely, Billy looks sad hearing what Xiao Xie's mother said "now that she will be staying in Beljing in the college without me or her father" Xiao Xie's mother said and hesitates before she continue what she is about to say "we will not know what is happening to her and I know her well, she will not call us to tell us about it" Xiao Xie’s mother pause and look at Billy in the eyes "can you help me take care of her?" Xiao Xie's mother stare at Billy hopefully "I can only ask you this as a mother" she adds
Billy is surprise to hear Xiao Xie's mother request, Billy thinks that Xiao Xie’s mother wants to scold him because of Xiao Xie before but hearing that Xiao Xie’s mother only wants to request him to take care of Xiao Xie, Billy smile with relief "Mother, I promise to protect and take care of Xiao Xie in college, you don't have to worry" Billy said happily, Xiao Xie's mother look at Billy and feel rest assured hearing Billy’s promise "thank you" Xiao Xie’s mother said softly and both of them drinks their coffee like mother and son, Xiao Xie's mother insist that she will pay for the coffee so Billy let her, Billy then takes Xiao Xie's mother to the train station and see her board the train before he leaves, Billy feel so happy that Xiao Xie's mother entrust Xiao Xie to him, then he went back to the company.
