On New Year’s Eve, Billy is somehow sad because this is his first New year without his parents there, he look sad and thinks of Xiao Xie too, he come downstairs since he is bored and sad "where can I go for the New year's Eve?" Billy ask one of the workers "there are many place to go for the New year's Eve" the old Butler quickly reply him from behind, Billy look back to the old Butler "let the chauffeur take you" the old Butler said and smile "okay, I will be back soon" Billy replies and leave with the chauffeur
The chauffeur takes Billy to Jongsak station to listen to the landmark bell that marks the end of the year and also watch fireworks, the bell start ringing when the time is almost approaching to enter the New year, everyone beginning to make a wish and Billy also make a wish, he close his eyes and fold his hands "let me and Xiao Xie forever be happy together" Billy said because that is the only wish he wants
Since Korean's New year is also the same as Chinese New year, Xiao Xie on the other hand is with her parents in the village, all the people in the village also gathered together to watch firework after the countdown, everyone in the village is happy counting till the last minute and some people also were making wishes before the firework, Xiao Xie smile seeing people making wish and Billy comes to her mind, deep down in her heart she wish Billy well, so she also make a wish "let Billy be happy" she said and smile
"Happy New year to you" Xiao Xie said unconsciously referring to Billy, the moment the countdown ends, she jitter as if she has been lost for a long time "what was that?" She said to herself "why will I be wishing that person?" she said and stand up angrily then went back to her parent’s house, though she already break up with Billy but sometimes ago when she switched on her phone she sees the news about Billy's aunt been taken to court that why she wish that Billy will be happy

Billy and his grandfather went to visit his grandmother's grave on the New year's day, because it is the first time Billy will be visiting the grave they did the necessary ritual for the greeting, the night of the new year, Billy's grandfather calls him to discuss about the Oh's business with him in his study "San-na" Billy's grandfather calls him "you know that am getting old and your mother already went to marry your father without anyone to take over the Oh's business" the old man said and sigh "when I married your grandmother, we were not rich" Billy’s grandfather said and continue "then, your grandmother refuse to have any children because I was really poor" Billy’s grandfather said and pause
"Your grandmother said that she did not want her children to suffer" Billy’s grandfather said and continue "as for me I love children so much, so I beg your grandmother to let's have just a child" the old man said and smile softly "your grandmother did not agree initially but she later agree to have just one child if only I will work hard to take good care of the child and herself" Billy’s grandfather said sadly "but when your grandmother gave birth to your mother, she died when giving birth" Billy’s grandfather said and his face look so sad
"That is why I pour all the love I have for your grandmother towards your mother and I decide to work very hard to get rich" Billy’s grandfather said smiling sadly "God answered my prayers and everything becomes good" the old man continue to explain to Billy "but your mother suddenly said that she wants to go and marry a man from China, then she left me when I disagree with her" Billy’s grandfather said and sigh "that is why I was so angry with her" the old tells Billy and look so dejected
Billy look at his grandfather pitifully hearing all he said "grandfather, am sorry on behalf of mom, can you please forgive her?" Billy said pleading with his grandfather, the old man look at Billy tenderly "how could a father get angry at their own child, I was only angry with her for a little time" the old man said indifferently "that is why I want to take you with me then when you were born" Billy’s grandfather concludes, Billy don't know what to say to his grandfather anymore because he intend to let him know that he will not be able to take over the Oh's business but now that he hears everything his grandfather said, he is speechless
"I know that you will not be able to take over the Oh's business" the old man suddenly said making Billy a little happy "If you will not take over the Oh's business then your child must take over the business even if am not alive anymore" Billy’s grandfather said seriously looking at Billy's face, Billy is not really surprise with his grandfather's request but he did not know how to answer "you must promise me" the old man said looking at Billy for answer, Billy sigh and keep quiet for a long time but later talks "I promise, grandfather" Billy answer with a serious face "that is my grandson" grandfather said and smile patting Billy's shoulder, the old man thinks Billy will not agree with him before but hearing Billy promising him, he becomes happy "so when did you decide to go back to China?" Billy’s grandfather ask him "tomorrow" Billy said immediately
Billy’s grandfather is not surprise because Billy ought to be taking care of some things in the company in China, things concerning Tiau family but because Billy did not want to disappoint him, he came to Korea, the old man knows that Billy still have to take of the shareholders and the Tiaz groups partnership companies "alright" the old man replies.
