The next day, Xiao Xie start going for the extra class, all the students begin to prepare for their final exams, no time for playing, everyone is seriously studying to get to one college and the other, Xu Shan is also preparing to go to Peking University, she wants to study business since she will likely take over her grandfather's company, but the most happiest thing for her is that she will be Billy's fiancée after high school, she can't wait for them to finish from high school, thinking about that Xu Shan smile but then, she remember Xiao Xie and she looks angry
“I need to take care of Xiao Xie, so that she will stay away from Tiau San forever” Xu Shan said to herself and her eyes shines with evil, Xiao Xie on the other hand is preparing seriously to get into Peking University, though Billy already help her family to take care of the money shakers by paying them, but he could not help her parents by giving them money since they will not collect even though he gives me, they are now okay without the money shakers pursuing them though they still have to manage what they have but they are happy since Xiao Xie is able to study with ease without the money shakers disturbing them
Because Xiao Xie and Billy is busy with studying and Billy also have to take care of the company's work, the two don't really have much time to play but Billy always call Xiao Xie every night or text her if he comes back from the company late in the night
Since they are approaching their finals, Xu Shan decide to ask his grandfather about the engagement between herself and Billy after she comes back from school “grandfather, I don't hear you saying anything about my engagement with Tiau San” Xu Shan said “will it not hold anymore?” She ask her grandfather with a sad face as if she will cry any time, that is how she always look any time she wants her grandfather to do something for her because she knows that her grandfather could not resist her sad face
“Of course it will hold, you will definitely get engage to Tiau San after your graduation” her grandfather tells her with certainty “and that reminds me, we should eat dinner together again with Tiau San and his grandfather so that we can fix the date for the official engagement for the both of you” Xu Shan’s grandfather said and stand up from where his sitting “I will call old Tiau now” Xu Shan’s grandfather adds and went to his room
Xu Shan smirks because she knows that her grandfather will definitely take a step, she already have her own plan for Xiao Xie “Xiao Xie, you will soon see” Xu Shan said and also went to her room. Xu Shan grandfather call Billy's grandfather and the call went through “old Tiau, it been long have heard from you” Xu Shan’s grandfather said smiling “I have been busy lately, how are things over there?” Billy's grandfather replies “good, we are good” Xu Shan's grandfather said “that reminds me” Xu Shan’s grandfather said with serious voice and pause then continues
“About Xu Shan and Tiau San’s engagement, I think we should fix the date soon since they are about to write their final exams” Xu Shan's grandfather suggests “oh! That is true, let's talk about it over dinner later” Billy's grandfather replies “that will be good then, when you have the time, let me be informed’ Xu Shan's grandfather adds “alright, I will talk to you later, Billy's grandfather said and ends the call
In the in school, Xiao Xie face Billy “Billy, do you know what today is?” Xiao Xie asks searching into Billy's eyes to see if he knows what day is it “today!” Billy replies and thinks a little “today is just a school day, what about today? Is there anything special about today?” Billy looks at Xiao Xie and reply causally, Xiao Xie sigh dejected “don't worry today is just today, forget that I ask you” Xiao Xie said angrily and sit back properly on her seat
Billy look at Xiao Xie’s angry face and smile, though he knows what Xiao Xie is talking about but he pretend not to know, after school Xiao Xie went for the extra class and later went home, it was already late in the evening when she gets home, as Xiao Xie enters into the house her parents shout “Happy birthday Xie” Xiao Xie smile seeing her parent finally wishing her “go and change and let's celebrate your birthday” her mother said to her “alright” Xiao Xie replies happily
That day is Xiao Xie’s birthday but since morning no one has wish her happy birthday so she thinks that everyone forgets her birthday and since she did not want to bother her parents she left for school sadly thinking that when she gets to school Billy will surely knows about her birthday and wish her but Billy also did not wish nor say anything about it, that is why she ask Billy what today is
When Billy said today is just today, Xiao Xie feels that Billy did not know about her birthday, so she feels down, though she did not blame Billy because she have not talk about her birthday to him before but Xiao Xie thinks that Billy might know it’s her birthday, Xiao Xie think that Billy should have ask her further when she ask him about what day it is, but Billy did not ask her so Xiao Xie feels sad, she sigh thinking about Billy not knowing it is her birthday
Now that Xiao Xie’s parents are celebrating her birthday with her, she is a little better but she wish that Billy will be the one celebrating with her since it is her first birthday after they start dating, she change her cloth and went to the sitting room to join her parents, they sing birthday song for her and ask her to make a wish, Xiao Xie closed her eyes and make a wish then she cut the cake, the family of three celebrate the birthday in their own little way but as they were still celebrating, Xiao Xie suddenly receive a text
“Come out for a second” Billy send Xiao Xie a text, Xiao Xie look at the text and smile, then she look at her parents “mom, dad, I need to go out for some time” Xiao Xie said to her parents “okay” her parents both replies because they knows that the old man’s grandson must be the one who just text her, Xiao Xie quickly went out then she sees Billy waiting for her outside, she is really happy seeing Billy
Billy smiles at her and Xiao Xie also smile back at him “why are you here?” Xiao Xie ask curiously thinking that Billy did not know it is her birthday “I want to discuss something with you, follow me” Billy said pretending not to know it is her birthday and pull her hand then drag her with him, Xiao Xie feels so happy seeing Billy because she hope that by chance Billy gets to know about her birthday and he came to wish her but when she hears Billy saying he wants to discuss something else, she is disappointed
Billy keeps taking Xiao Xie with him without saying anything or tell her where his taking her, so Xiao Xie asks “where are we going?” Xiao Xie said to Billy still disappointed “Just follow” Billy tells her, after some time, Billy bring Xiao Xie to a small garden not very far from her house, Xiao Xie look around and did not know why Billy will bring her to the garden “close your eyes” Billy said to her as they get to the garden “why?” Xiao Xie ask looking at Billy suspicious since she don’t know what Billy wants to do
“Just close your eyes” Billy said to her again, looking to her face so she could close her eyes “okay” Xiao Xie said and close her eyes to know what Billy will do, Billy then bring out a small box from his pocket and remove a sparkling diamond necklace from the small box “now, you can open your eyes” Billy said and show the necklace to Xiao Xie
Xiao Xie slowly open her eyes to see the sparkling diamond necklace glistering before her eyes, Xiao Xie look stunned and her mouth opens, Billy smile seeing Xiao Xie’s expression, Xiao Xie did not know what to say because she thinks Billy did not know about her birthday before, Billy then slowly went to her back and lift up the long hairs covering her neck, Billy place the necklace on her neck and hook it, still standing behind Xiao Xie, Billy let Xiao Xie’s hairs down again then gently and slowly hug her from behind
Xiao Xie, who is still surprise and shock with Billy’s action feels an electric shock as Billy hugs her from behind, Billy then rap his hands round her waist and place his head on her neck “Happy birthday Xie” Billy whisper seductively into Xiao Xie’s ear and kiss her on one side of her cheeks, then Billy continue to rest him head on her neck, to Xiao Xie it is just as if the time stops.
