Chapter 43 Lanny Went Crazy!

When Mrs. White heard that the vase was given by Edward, she was so shocked that she was speechless for a long time. Her hands were shaking, and the vase almost slipped.

Out of the corner of her eyes, she could see Lanny's distorted face. It made her even more scared that beads of cold sweat formed on her forehead.

Lanny clenched her fists, and her face flushed with anger. Although she knew nothing about porcelain, she could tell that it must be expensive based on her mother's reaction. She wanted David to come to make a comparison between Edward and him, but the disabled person had sent the expensive vase and stole the limelight from them.

Things were far from simple! Lanny was calculating in her mind. Two months ago, her ex-husband stepped down as president and declared bankruptcy. And now he could afford to give such an expensive gift!

He deceived her!

The facts were in front of her, confirming her previous speculation that Edward pretended to be crippled and poor to get rid of her and be with the slut Bella.

She's stupid! She had been trapped. All of Edward's money should have belonged to her, and instead, she gave this rich man to Bella. And if God could give her another chance, she would make sure to find out that he was poor with only his underwear left before she kicked him out.

She saw Edward laughing at her, and Bella was so sarcastic, pretending that she was innocent. The new clothes and shoes Bella was wearing must have been paid by Edward's money―the money that should have belonged to her. Bella was a thief!

The more Lanny thought about it, the angrier she became. She quickly went to her mother's side and tried to snatch the vase away, but Mrs. White wouldn't let go.

"Give it to me!" Lanny yelled.

"No, you can't do that. I love this vase. If you want it, you go to the locker and take that cheap Dalton dinnerware set. It's from your sister, and it's not worth nothing," Mrs. White shielded the vase with her body and forbade Lanny to come near.

Her mother's words broke Bella's heart. The tableware she spent half a month of her salary was described as cheap by her mother. Her heart was dripping blood. She wanted to ask her mother why she didn't love her and what she had to do to get her mother's love.

But Bella decided to keep these thoughts buried in her heart and didn't say anything. She knew the reason for her unpopularity; that she was born without a wolf. Compared to Lanny, she was neither intelligent nor pretty, she was useless. For as long as she could remember, these words had been ringing in her ears, and she gradually began to believe them. She slowly accepted that she was born inferior.

When she was a child, she took care of all the chores in the house to get a compliment from her parents. And she helped Lanny with her homework so that Lanny would stop beating her. When she married David, he disliked her for being too stupid and didn't support her going out to work. She dutifully stayed at home to iron his clothes and cook for him.

Their aggravation only rewarded her obedience, and she would no longer put up with the injustice.

Snapped! A sudden sound brought Bella's thoughts back to reality. What happened in front of her shocked her to the point that her pupils dilated, and she was trembling.

Lanny smashed the tableware and charged at Bella with a sharp shard, "Go to hell, bitch!"

Lanny ran extremely fast, and in the next second, the debris in her hand was now a centimeter away from hitting Bella's face.

"I will cut your face so that you will turn ugly, and Edward will come back to me." She was already celebrating victory in her heart, but Bella pushed her, and she hit the ground hard.

"Oh! You bitch! You hurt my baby," Lanny screamed, covering her belly and pretending to be in pain.

Everyone ran to Lanny to help her up and asked her if she was in pain. No one cared that Bella was almost to get a cut on her face.

"How could you hurt your sister, you ungrateful bastard!" Mrs. White walked up to Bella and slapped her hard, "Your sister is four months pregnant. If she and her baby got hurt, I would definitely kill you!"

Bella covered her swollen face, holding back her tears. For the first time, she was wronged but did not cry.

She saw Lanny staring at her viciously, and she saw David holding Lanny's hand tightly with deep concern. It made her amused.

What a hypocritical couple! Each had bad thoughts in their hearts but pretended to be very affectionate in front of the public. Bella couldn't help but laugh when she thought of this.

Hearing Bella's laughter, Lanny stood up from the chair, pointed at her, and asked, "What are you laughing at?"

Bella's head was tilted slightly. Her eyes were quickly rolling like she was thinking of something. "No, I just remembered something interesting."

Bella's accent on the word "interesting" was deliberate, and it irritated Lanny.

"I met David in the parking lot when I first started working at Skytel, and he was with a woman," Bella said with a smile. "Guess if that woman is my sister?"

"Don't talk nonsense!" David interrupted her hastily, sensing the death stare shot by Lanny.

"And it's not over yet? Last week, the president told me that my sister broke into his office and took off her clothes to seduce him," Bella's eyes turned to her sister, "And the president cut her salary, David. You can check her payslip next month."

Lanny was about to punch Bella, but David stopped her.

"Don't you think you owed me an explanation?" David asked Lanny while grabbing her by the collar.

"Go to your mother to explain! What happened to the woman in the parking lot? Did she have sex with you?" Lanny reached out and scratched David's face, making it bleed. "No wonder why you were being so stingy with me. Did you spend all the money on that bitch?"

"No one is more gold-digging than you! You see, the president has money. Go and seduce him. Who knows whose baby is in your belly!" David no longer cared about the presence of his in-laws. He rolled on the ground and wrestled with Lanny, who just a moment ago pretended to be fragile but did not fall behind, swinging punch after punch towards David's belly.

Mr. and Mrs. White saw this scene. They rushed to separate them. Later, their faces became blue and purple too.

Bella sincerely felt the joy of victory, and she applauded the farce.

Edward quietly took Bella's hand, and he said to her, "Well done!"
