Chapter 50: Chapter 50

ATLAS:

The doctor's blessing seemed to have taken years to get here, I think she didn't understand the seriousness of the situation since she decided to act like a slug right now.

I snarled like a maniac when the nosy doctor felt entitled to try to throw me out of the room where my female was visibly weakened.

— I wouldn't leave this room even if an army with the best males came to try to put me out, I'd fight until I took off each one's head, and it certainly won't be any doctor who will get me out of here— he said to the grunts ending with a ferocious growl I didn't care if I was being rude or not, all I wanted was my female safely and preferably in my arms.

After that she didn't dare give me even a look, she went into her professional mode and started assessing my female.

She will be fine...

I mentally repeat these words as if they were a mantra that possibly would prevent me from collapsing, taken by the despair I am feeling at this very moment.

My princess's pale little face kills me just looking at it, seeing her eyes closed without showing that glow that I unusually love so many hurts, I just wish that all that had happened to me and not her.

I'm responsible for this!

If I hadn't argued with her and on top of that I'd left her all day alone this wouldn't be happening, on the contrary, my partner would be frowning at me for what I did, but she'd still have her pretty eyes open and her cheeks flushed.

(I'm shit)— I think, closing my hands in fists and squeezing them tightly, so hard that if my bones weren't resistant they would surely have broken by now.

She shouldn't have brought Albert's head home, that must have been quite a shock to her too.

(What a great fucking fellow I've been)— I ironically feel bitter.

The urge I have is to hit the nearest wall, to punch that blessed wall until I feel the blood running down my knuckles, but fuck I can't, I can't because I would never forgive myself if my princess woke up and saw me as a monster sick.

I loosen the grip on my hands, take a deep breath and try to control my breathing, I am awakened from my daydreams by the doctor who mutters something to herself that makes me anxious.

— Normally, she passed out in the situation she's in— he says writing something down on his clipboard.

Situation? What a situation! Does she have something serious? Or is the doctor referring to the stress my female has been going through? That must probably be it...

When I'm about to ask about the situation a faint sigh is heard diverting our attention to my companion who is waking up from her fainting spell.

I approach getting as close as possible at the moment, I see her eyes open a little confused trying to adjust to the light of the environment.

I give a soft kiss on her forehead keeping my hands holding hers, I feel her hands tighten lightly over mine as if trying to comfort me when I should be playing this role.

My female is a warrior!

I don't understand why but my gaze stays for a few seconds on her belly, making me let go of one of her hands to gently touch it as if it were a magnet being attracted, I feel an electric discharge so good that I see myself leaning my forehead against her belly keeping my eyes closed while enjoying the moment.

A silly smile forms on my face for no reason, or rather it can only be happy in knowing that my female is awake.

— Is Supreme feeling better? I will recommend some remedies that helped with the fainting and possible nausea— says the doctor making me quickly open my eyes in addition to making me very confused with her recommendations, she doesn't even know what my female has and she already wants to give me medicine.

— Shouldn't you evaluate it better in your office? Not even I, who am not a doctor, know that before any medication recommendation, one should know what the patient has— I say, indignant at her lack of professionalism.

It's my female we're talking about, you can't be too careful.

— Atlas, be more polite— says my princess, scolding me with her eyes, I immediately shut up, even though I'm still on the back foot, I don't want to argue and cause you any more problems.

— Supreme with all due respect but I know how to do my job, don't think that this diploma I have was bought, on the contrary, it was earned very hard and above all fairly— says the doctor, somewhat offended by my comment.

— I didn't mean to be rude— I say a little annoyed— but let's get to what matters, what does my female have?— I ask straightening up and staying serious about the matter.

His gaze returns to my somewhat restless princess and it doesn't go unnoticed by my eyes.

— She has a slight indisposition, I think it's due to some stress she went through— she says and I see sincerity in her eyes, but I still think there's something else... I just really do.

I turn my attention to my princess trying to stop thinking nonsense.

If I had a disease or something like that, the doctor would tell me, right?

— You didn't answer the doctor's question, are you feeling better?— I ask looking at every bit of her and finally at her eyes, in a way to make sure she's not going to lie.

— I'm fine Atlas, you don't need all that worry— he says softly, passing one of his hands over my face— now would you please let me have a quick talk with the doctor Sueli?— I nod but I don't I move an inch if you want and when you see I don't intend to leave you add— particularly Atlas.

I stand still for a while looking at his face, but finally, I sigh in frustration and before getting up I place a tender kiss on his lips, being returned by a beautiful smile.

When I'm about to open the bedroom door I'm interrupted by my princess.

— Call Grandpa Pietro quickly, please?— he says looking at me with those big, beautiful eyes and I feel unable to resist.

Maria and Pietro were probably on the other side of the door walking from one side to the other in the long corridor, as they, in addition to making a lot of noise when walking, decidedly said that they would only leave when they said that "your girl" was fine.

MY girl is on the case!

Even though I'm intrigued, I call Pietro and ask him to come in, when the angry old woman goes in I also stop her, claiming that Mel would like to talk to the two of them alone.

I see a little hurt in her eyes, but she continues her ritual of walking up and down the corridor, I concentrate on trying to hear something of their conversation, but it's impossible to hear anything.

(This can only be Pietro and his witch powers)— I think frustrated already knowing why Mel wants the same thing inside the room.

I start walking from one side to the other with Aunt Maria, keeping her company in this agonizing wait, mentally I keep asking myself the reason for all that mystery, I don't think it's a serious illness because the doctor didn't show any kind of affliction or anything of the sort. like, not to mention that I already said that the "indisposition" is the cause of fainting and supposed nausea.

I feel like I'm missing something, I just don't know exactly what it is and it's making me pissed at myself.

I came out of my daydreams when I hear the door being opened halfway by the doctor who has just left the room.

— Dona Maria the Supreme makes a point of seeing you there— she says and soon she leaves out of breath into the room, when I make a point of following in her footsteps I am stopped again— She told you to wait a little longer— she says finally the doctor.

I snarl, dissatisfied with this, and run my hand through my hair, feeling an immense desire to pull out every strand present there.

Fucking fucked up situation.

— Why are all of you acting strangely? Mel, is there something more serious that you don't want to tell me? Because if so, I think it's better to speak soon, because I don't know what I'm capable of doing if it comes to my ears from a third party— I speak grunting each word, looking at it in the most threatening way possible.

— You can calm down, Supreme, that Mrs. Mel has nothing serious— she says looking at the floor, I notice that she is visibly trembling— now if you'll excuse me, I will personally arrange Mrs. Mel's medicine— he says and I almost ran out not giving me time to respond.

I lean against the wall in the hallway, tired of waiting outside the room, while my female is on the other side talking about who knows what with the angry old woman and Pietro, completely excluding me from her life.

(Somewhat melancholy, but it's still true)— I think with an irritated huff.

I stand there in that hallway waiting until someone remembers my existence and decides to include me in their affairs.

Fuck it, I won't be waiting!

I enter the room suddenly causing everyone who was there to look at me in surprise, everyone except Mel who gives a small smile shaking her head when looking at me.

— I knew I couldn't keep out there for long— he says and bites his lower lip trying to contain his laugh when he sees me with a frown and a narrow look in his direction.

— Never ask me to leave again, especially knowing that you are weakened on the other side of the door— I say seriously as I sit on the bed next to you— you can ask me for anything but that— I conclude looking deep into her eyes and I'm just happy to see her nod smiling beautifully, thus making most of my frown go away bringing a little softness to my face.

I start to caress her hair, what humans usually call it, to see if she falls asleep and rests a little.

My eyes roam every inch of your face, your beautiful eyes that I'm in love with, your perfect mouth made to measure to fit mine, your pale skin that is now pinker giving a healthier look to your face.

(How crazy I am about that female, my female!)— I think, fascinated.
