Chapter 25: Chapter 25

ATLAS:

Everyone had left when they heard that they had finally found the flea, of course, they wanted to stay, but I needed some time alone with my wife, so I made up the excuse that she needs to rest, which in a way is true.

About the flea, he had fallen into a hole in the forest, it looked like a trap, which makes no sense since in my kingdom this kind of thing is forbidden.

When Mel saw him, she was tremendously relieved, and ran to the kitchen saying she needed to feed him, you can already imagine my despair when I saw her running around as if she hadn't just suffered an attack.

Because of me, that stubborn girl would stay locked up in her room all day, with only me by her side, without clingy parents, cheating brothers, and fleas who want MY wife's attention.

I can't deny that even I was a little worried about the flea, what was it? I must have had a bad conscience because he somehow helped me save Mel.

But as I was saying, Mel completely forgot about the people around her, including me, her partner, and the future father of her children.

Wow, I do everything to make her feel good and all I get is "Where’s my baby?" or "Atlas I'm going to kill him for leaving him alone!", and nobody cares how Atlas turns out in this story.

I know this jealousy seems ridiculous, even more so for a dog, but after so long without her it's as if I needed to have her close and with her attention just for me.

I know I'm selfish and possessive, but I don't deny that, what's MINE is MINE and NOBODY takes what belongs to me. Mel may even think that I think as if she were an object, but that's not true, we werewolves tend to say that our mates belong to us to keep the other males away and make them understand that we are the only ones who are male enough for them.

I'm leaning against the kitchen wall with my arms crossed, watching my stubborn girl with her head turned to one side as she makes a cute little pout trying to decide which food to feed the newest member of the family.

She insisted on having them buy different brands, she says he needs to have options and that no one should be left without a choice when it comes to eating.

I watch as she looks at the flea hoping it will help her choose her meal, but he is not excited at all, he just stares at the rations as if they are the most disgusting thing in the world.

Mel throws me a pleading look as if I could resolve the situation, and since I don't want to see her disappointed, I decide to help as best I can.

— Hey flea why all this freshness? We are males we eat everything without frills— I say the last sentence looking suggestively at my princess who turns so red she looks like she's having a heart attack

Trying to divert the conversation the same line

— Dear Atlas, first of all, his name isn't Flea— like it's PRINCE, secondly I think you should continue without giving an opinion because if not I might throw you out the window— she stops for a minute to think and completes— no through the window no, I don't even have the strength for that! But I've always wanted to throw a vase at someone anyway, so that works too— she says with a shrug.

It's better to be quiet!

I don't even say anything else, I don't want to go lucky and end up sleeping on the couch, because that's what will happen if she throws the toilet and sees that it didn't even get a scratch, she'll probably get frustrated and put me to sleep on the couch, and even worse, she'll want to take the flea to sleep with her.

His gaze that was once on me turned back to the prince

— My baby goes to the bag of kibble you want to eat that mommy puts out for you— (it was just what I needed, my wife acting like a dog's mother)— I think, rolling my eyes

I went towards the sink to wash my hands and then I went to the fridge, maybe eating will distract me from this ridiculous scene I just witnessed.

I pick up three buns with meat that were wrapped in aluminum foil, Gloria was probably the one who left them here. I decided to give her and the others who help her a break, it would be better for me to take care of Mel without a bunch of people all over her.

I see the things inside the refrigerator, which I had never opened before as I had people to make my food all the time, luckily it is stocked

I'm also getting some cheese, canned corn, and mayonnaise, I know that Mel likes all of this because most of the time she eats it for breakfast.

I put everything on the large counter and grab the bread, clumsily starting to make my wife's sandwich, she needs to eat something and even if I don't know how to make a fried egg, I'll do it for her

I was finishing making Mel's sandwich, when I see that the flea is staring at something, I follow his gaze and when I see what he is looking at I shake my head negatively

That flea won't eat my bread!

Your little eyes are right over my buns, why sir?

As I know the partner I have, I know she will want me to share my bread with her precious baby.

— Atlas my beautiful, could you give just a little piece of your bread to the prince?— I didn't say, to fight with me there's no Atlas, but to want something there's even beautiful

— My princess, I need energy, I don't know if you noticed but I'm a big and strong male, I need to eat a lot— I say looking at her again, my gaze passes over her whole body, I know I must look like a pervert, but this woman drives me crazy

She bites her lower lip, which makes my situation worse, my friend wants to be released

Deep breath

— But it's just a little piece darling, I'd offer mine what you're doing, but he doesn't seem to care about it, I think he likes meat— he says making a face, looks like someone didn't like the idea of her baby eating meat.

She knows very well how to blackmail someone, she knows very well that I would rather give her all my bread and see her eat hers than eat my bread and see her not eating.

Reluctantly, I take one of the bread and offer it to the flea, who doesn't even think twice before taking the bread and starting to devour it.

My princess looks at me satisfied as she approaches me

— You were very kind, thank you— he says touching my hair

— I would do anything for you— I say sincerely, seeing her blush

— Well, I'm hungry, aren't you?— asks trying to dodge the subject again

— I am, now get the yogurt, milk, and strawberries that are in the fridge, I will make a very strengthening vitamin for you— I say and my princess soon goes to the sink to wash her hands

— Yes sir— speaks already near the fridge while picking things up and putting them on the table.

The buns are already ready, the big problem is how to make the smoothie, what happened? I know what goes into a smoothie, I just don't know how to make it

My princess looks at me as if she expects me to do something

— Aren't you going to take the vitamin?— he asks raising one of his beautiful eyebrows

— It's just... Kind of...— I'm all wrapped up, I don't know how to tell her I don't know how to make the blessed vitamin

— You don't know how to do it, right?— he asks, closing his eyes— your luck is that at least I know how to do a few things in the kitchen, but if we depend on ourselves to live, we'll starve— talks about warning tone.

He goes to the sink, where he washes the strawberries and removes the green leaves that are on top, takes the Blender, and puts the strawberries, yogurt, and milk inside.

Looking at it like that, it doesn't even look like a beast with seven heads, it's even embarrassing to think that a man like me doesn't know how to make a smoothie, which also makes me think about how I managed to spend a large part of my life without going into a kitchen

I always had servants serving me in whatever I needed, at least domestically, so I never had to worry.

While we wait for the vitamin to be ready, I decide to inform Mel that the gentleman who helped her will be here later today.

— My princess, I don't know if you remember or if you were still awake when a man arrived to help you in the forest, but when I arrived I saw a man protecting you against that...— I take a deep breath trying to control myself, only to imagine that son of a bitch hurt my wife

— If there was someone who helped me, I didn't see it, because as soon as I was thrown against the tree I blacked out, so if there's someone who helped me and I didn't say thank you, I want to thank you— he says seriously, my wife has a mania out of control to be grateful for the simplest thing someone does for her, and it makes me so proud that I and my wolf want to beat our chests and growl at everyone that she is ours

— He'll come today, I think he'll be arriving here tonight. I also want to thank you for saving her— I finally say as I wrap my arms around her.

(For the first time in my life, I want to thank someone, I want to thank them for protecting my reason for living)— I think, seeing how the world turns.
