Chapter 160: Chapter 160
The bidding time is Friday night at seven thirty.
The proposal given by Rong Xian’an is the first version. Rong Zhi briefly looked through it and found many issues. She called Bai Tingxun via an internal line and then handed her the document.
"Make a new proposal for me."
Bai Tingxun nodded, took the proposal, "Alright."
Rong Zhi waved her out first, then opened her computer, entered a string of URLs into the browser, and pressed the enter key.
The cooperation conditions set by the government are not very clear, only a general direction indicating it has to do with machinery.
She lazily tapped her fingertips on the keyboard, browsing through these usually SSS-level confidential contents, scanning line by line, until she finally found the latest news at the bottom.
She exited the website.
After stretching her wrist, she fished a candy out of her pocket and bit it between her lips and teeth. Rong Zhi somewhat wanted to use silver needles to prick herself a couple of times, her head feeling a bit dizzy.
This time, the country’s overseas cooperation turned out to be heavy weaponry, and after the bidding was completed, they would connect with the National Mechanical Engineering Institute for a three-party cooperation and joint research.
The higher-ups regarded this matter very seriously, requiring all major enterprises in Beijing to participate, but winning the bid was not so easy.
Rong Xian’an always finds trouble for her everywhere.
Rong Zhi slowly rolled the candy, her eyes slightly squinting, pressing a few points on the top of her head, barely restoring a bit of clarity. She exhaled a breath of mint-scented cold air and then began rewriting the proposal.
Human Resources Department.
Rong Jin coldly watched the young man in front of him who appeared indignant, and sneered: "In the workplace, not knowing to be low-key, greedy and rash, truly think you’re a good person for reporting? To put it bluntly, you’re brainless."
The young man turned out to be the one Rong Jin caught for reporting about Rong Zhi having office romance, and Rong Jin became aware of the gossip group because of this matter. He mixed into it for a look, ignoring their gossip, only catching this eager young man.
Rong Jin fired him directly.
The young man’s face turned green with anger, glared at Rong Jin, swore, and left.
Rong Jin pretended not to hear; these words he heard every day before and was tired of hearing. After packing his things, he went upstairs to find Rong Zhi.
A hoarse voice rang from inside the room, Rong Jin frowned, pushed the door, and softly asked: "Sick?"
Rong Zhi let him sit casually, picked up the thermos cup beside the table, and took a sip of hot tea, "A little."
Perhaps it’s because she was too busy these days and caught a cold after showering last night with the wind blowing, it’s not very uncomfortable.
During the first three years when she was running around everywhere, busy to the point of exhaustion, illnesses were frequent. She used to chew a couple of candies to bring down the fever, only realizing the discomfort of being sick once she had downtime after finishing her tasks.
She didn’t think much of it.
Rong Jin didn’t speak, turned around and left the room, bringing back a cup when he returned; he placed the cup beside Rong Zhi’s hand, his tone worried, "Did you have breakfast? Drink this cup of cold medicine first, after lunch I’ll buy medicine for you."
Rong Zhi paused her keyboard tapping, lifted her gaze to look at Rong Jin, then her eyes fell on the cup beside her hand. She stayed silent for a moment, then picked it up and drank it all.
Rong Jin waved his hand hastily, smiling, "It’s nothing. I heard President Rong say you’re busy with the proposal above, need help? I’ll send a few people to your team."
Originally, Rong Zhi was the deputy manager of the planning department, getting personnel was simple enough, but the finance department people seemed to intentionally and unintentionally alienate her since the day she moved in.
Rong Zhi could sense their contempt, hence didn’t say much. Even if Rong Qichuo’s team’s people were saturated and overflowing, she was too lazy to ask for people.
Moreover, she could handle it alone.
Rong Jin got rejected, his face showing a slight hint of distress, "Then there’s only you and Bai Tingxun left here? Bidding is tomorrow night, is there time for the proposal?"
"There’s time." Rong Zhi’s throat suddenly hurt sharply, she pursed her lips and didn’t speak anymore.
Rong Jin: "Alright, no problem, uncle has experience, uncle can help you take a look."
He returned to the Human Resources Department, bringing his notebook and materials upstairs, and stayed in the office with Rong Zhi until past ten p.m., during which both casually dealt with meals.
Bai Tingxun entered the office several times to ask questions. Since Rong Zhi was unable to speak, she could only communicate with her by typing.
It was two a.m. by the time the final proposal was confirmed.
The Rong Building only had lights on at the fifty-fifth floor.
Bai Tingxun was tired to the point her eyes squinted into slits, her head nodding repeatedly, ultimately banging against the table with a thud, instantly waking her with pain.
Rong Jin came out of the office, followed by a tall and slightly wild-looking young man. They were discussing the matters of tomorrow night’s bidding as they walked, mostly Rong Jin reminding Rong Zhi of various things she needed to pay attention to, while the latter silently nodded in understanding.
