Chapter 10: Chapter 10

The orb begins to glow. I expected it glow yellow which is for flames or light instead it glows into a shinning red color. I was surprise as well as the class.

"What does this mean?" I Questioned the teacher.

"Wow, it means you have an affiliation for all magic. Red is called transmutation magic and you can tap into different magic. Red is rare".

I am surprised. I never thought I had the ability to use any magic. I have been on flames till now. Our training took some time and within months, I had learned the basis. I was told that my basic training will be a Swift one because the team has to move to the small kingdom of sweed to get supplies and materials and others and so. Today, we were taken to different island within evil domain. We were left alone on our separate island and the instruction given that I am not use any magic. I should ascend the mountain and bring a flag. Hero the information broker gave me a heads up. That by the top of the mountain is a boss I have to fight called praying mantis and with that in mind, I ascend the mountain.

I stood amazed looking at what is in front of me.

A magical mountain with tall beautiful trees about them. Trees with different distinctive colors and i wondered why praying mantis would use it as a nest. I have to climb to the peak of the mountain with only a sword. I put on a black jacket over my brown pants matching my boots.

I begin to ascend through the sloppy mountain. I climbed swiftly on the road available because I was given till noon to clear the stage or i would begin again if i failed.

I was still climbing ascending the sloppy mountain when I looked up and i saw a large log of green wooden tree trunk tied to a tree swiftly swings descending down in front aiming at me. I swiftly slide lay flat on the ground then i got up and ran through the mountain laughing to how easy that was not looking what's in front of me.

Suddenly, another large wooden tree trunk descends swiftly accompanied by a sheer amount of force. I was not able to react on time. The sheer amount of force from the wooden tree trunk sends me flying to the air crashing to the ground. I roll severally before i could balance myself on the sliding sloppy Mountain.

"Ouch", that was painful. I grunted and stood up and begin to climb the sloppy mountain Again. A larger tree log of wood trunk descends down in front of me. This time, I am attentive and swiftly dodge rolling to the ground to the available flat spaces my body could squeezed and manage and then continue to climb as quickly as I can dodging all wooden obstacles swung from different angle at me.

I observed that the more I climbed, the more intense the tree log descends swiftly with speed as if some one is using a bow shooting an arrow at me. Suddenly a large log of heavy wood descends from my left side with a sheer amount of force that was greater than the former force. It gaze me by the shoulder with its speed.

I look up above, another wooden trunk falls down vertical towards me to the ground right in front, and the force that accompanies the woods could quash an animal to the ground. I paused for a minute speaking angrily

'' This no ordinary wood, this must be the work of the praying mantis." Roaming my eyes around my surrounding before speaking

''You cowards, stop throwing woods at me and fight me like a man, oh i forgot they are an animals. ok, come on, fight me like an animal. i mean literary you are animal and i am a man, any way just fight me you bloody ass wholes.'' I said this to make them angry.

Instantly every where in the forest of trees was quiet and suddenly a sea of wooden logs of trees accompanied by a terrible amount of force swiftly descends at a terrifying speed at me.

"Seriously '' i begins to run down the sloppy mountain were I climbed from. The sea of trees caught up with me but i am lucky to hid behind a large green tree. I could feel the forceful vibrations and intensity of thud and bang on the tree I stood behind as to the result of the force. I walked out when all has settled down and then my eyes widen. I saw a ten meter skinny tall praying mantis from the forest. It’s has two chainsaw hands which were sharp and so its feet.

The praying mantis set it's gaze at me and screams violently. I could see the shock wave of his screams rapidly descending towards me. The creature seem to be angry because of my loud mouth.

Smaller praying mantis began to race towards me from the forest. A praying mantis suddenly appears before me swiftly swinging his chainsaw like arm side ways towards me aching for his head. I quickly dodged ducking to the ground taking several step backwards.

Two prayer mantis flew in front of me. They swung their deadly sharp hands down at me seeking to end my life straight away. They growled as they exerted them self putting as much power into the attack as they were able to. I barely manage to dodge with a slight moment of my head before i lost my balance of my body lifting my arms to cover my face from the dreadful swift attack.

The two praying mantis lifts their sharp arms like holy weapon and swings at me. The weapon slices a large chuck of my soft flesh into my arm. The force from its swing sends me to the floor.

My jacket has come stain with my own blood that runs down my arms and threaten to worm its way into his fingers. I am not weak and I should not behave as such before the giant cockroaches.

I pull out my father's long silver steel sword out of my sheathe hanged around my waist.

The praying mantis swung at me again and i instinctive duck down its swing as i perfectly- execute an instinctive counter attack.

Swish!

The shape edge of the blade sliced in half the praying mantis. Slaying the praying mantis was surprise-ly easy, perhaps because they were weak. I held unto my sword.

More praying mantis sprints at me. I bolted in front of them swinging my sword at them. Base from my observation, they had a pattern of lifting their hands up before an attack and then i used that momentum to quickly cut in half. Praying mantis descended from the sky. they swing but i swiftly dash in front of their belly

Swish!

A flash of steel slice them into half, like army they descended swiftly from the mountain each wanting to fornicate with the softness of my skin enticed by my blood. I holding to my sword firmly, i charge towards them slicing any one that got close first like one man army.

And so killed all mantises remaining the boss.

I sat atop an hill of dead praying mantis catching my breath when i hear him growled. The king of praying mantis descended from the mountain taking me by surprise. He is 15 meters tall similar to a mid giant.

The king of insect swiftly dash swinging towards me as it arch for my face. I instantly duck low sliding under his body slicing his one of his foot . The praying mantis fell down with his right knee. He swiftly swings at me. I dodged dash under his left leg slicing it, the mantis falls to his kneels as he scream out.

Without wasting time, I leap into the air climbing the king of mantis standing atop the mantis head lifting my sword above my head.

"Stay put just the way you are and let me cut you" i swiftly thrust my long steel sword through the air piercing his head. The praying mantis screams as it falls violently to the ground dead. I regain my energy and began to climb the mountain.
