Chapter 277: Chapter 277
The Dawn’s two-day gymnastics arena concert finally came to an end.
[Title: Posting my The Dawn concert review
It’s been a few days, but it still feels like a dream...
Maybe my ancestors blessed me because I got front row seats T_T My heart was pounding like crazy the moment I walked in...
Anyway, I’m a light fan, and my bias is Jung Dajun
My baby angel who heals me in this exhausting and brutal society...
First off, the insane part.
The Dawn didn’t look tired at all during the concert.
Especially our puppy, Jung Dajun... I swear, that kid could run five laps of a concert in a row and still be fine. You know how big dogs don’t get tired no matter how much you walk them? Yeah, like that.
To me, Dajun’s always been a puppy, but in person he’s tall and ridiculously handsome. There’s a reason he always wears those “most handsome” t-shirts.

But the moment he opened his mouth—
Dajun: Noeul~~~~ I missed youuu~~~~!!!
LOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL You could see his tail wagging furiously behind him...
And during the talk time, when they greeted every floor—1st, 2nd, 3rd—
Dajun: Too bad I couldn’t go up to the 3rd floor... sorryㅜ.ㅜ
Noeul: (haaah T_T) Dajun is a baby angel...
Dajun: Next time I’ll fly up there!!!
Noeul: (kind of scared) Heeek
Honestly, with Jung Dajun I really felt like he might hop on a wiper and whoooosh fly up, and that terrified me....
Kim Sunghyun... I always thought of him as a “Melonie <3” kind of image because he always gets messed with by Seo Hoyun, right??
Kim_Sunghyun_Encounter.jpg
But holy shit, in person he was just a man. He waved right in front of me and I forgot how to breathe....
Not exaggerating, it hit me—“Ah! So this is what a man is..!” Fuck hahaha
And then near the end, he just broke down crying. I heard he cries often, and it was so fucking cute... I get now why high school seniors go crazy over him.
Sung Jiwon was... just... holy.
Honestly, my taste is cold guys, so I thought, yeah he’s super pretty but not my type. But seeing him in person? He was literally glowing, like light was bursting out of him.
He made eye contact with me up close and I swear I thought I was turning to ash like a vampire...
And the way he spoke, so soft and gentle... scary how someone like him can exist with that face.
Don’t say he looks scary on screen. In real life, he looks scarier. There’s a reason people call his face a “meet-the-parents rejection pass.”
But watching him grin and fool around during the duet stage? He was insane. No wonder he’s so popular.
He’s got star quality shoved into every inch of him.
I finally get why they call him God Hoyun.
He was the god of fanservice.
Anything fans asked for, he did.
If someone held up half a heart, he matched it.
He did cheek hearts, waved, blew a kiss even to those in the “God seats.”
And that moment.........
The one blowing up on YouTube, the moment when the Noeul’s screams sounded clearest...
He lifted his shirt and showed his abs.
And I decided to call him my god.
Seo_Hoyun_Godly_Abs_Wave.gif
He’d only ever teased a peek before, never fully showed them, and it was madness, like a religion.
That day, Noeuls collectively lost their minds—throwing banners, clutching their hair, pure chaos. Like cult followers...
Yeah, I was one of them too.....
Anyway, I’ve been to a lot of concerts haha (When am I escaping K-pop?) but even putting aside the fact they’re 3rd-year idols, The Dawn’s skills were just off the charts.
Usually, at concerts, when the choreo isn’t perfect it looks messy (broadcast cameras cover that up), but The Dawn had none of that haha Must practice like crazy.
Anyway, I had ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) a blast as a light fan!!
└Looks friend enjoyed it deeply
└└LMAOOOOOOOOO fuck, true, they write like a pro fangirl hahahahaha
└└How does a light fan even score a front-row seat LOOOOOLLLLLLLLL fuck, Noeuls are hilarious at least
└Seo Hoyun is really the god of fanservice.
I relate to this so much.
I was in the “God seats” expecting nothing more than a “thank you to the 3rd floor~~!!” but he waved at us so many times ㅜ If even 3rd floor was this good, 1st floor kids must have been blessed.
└Seo Hoyun showed abs both days, thank god~~!!! I went Sunday and legit wanted to bow down the moment I saw it.]
Two college students, both fans—one of The Dawn and one of Hi-Five—were chatting in a small Seoul studio apartment after attending both The Dawn’s concert and the Shining Star Season 2 live recording together.
“Haah... Seo Hoyun is handsome and his body’s amazing...”
“Yeah, must be nice, asshole.”
They had totally opposite personalities, but maybe that’s why they got along so well.
“Hi-Five’s songs are solid. I like Yeonhoo.”
“Don’t mention Yeonhoo...”
“Why?! Did Kang Yeonhoo get into a scandal?!”
“No, just... thinking of him makes me cry.”
“...You’re seriously sick.”
Even though she was a The Dawn fan, from all her friend’s rants she knew Hi-Five had climbed to their current spot basically by Kang Yeonhoo dragging them forward.
Her friend sniffled at just the mention of his name.
Noeul was used to this, so she lay back on the bed, scrolling through The Dawn concert reviews on her phone.
That’s when a post caught her eye.
She quickly tapped the title to read it.
[Title: I liked everything but was kinda disappointed at The Dawn’s concert
There wasn’t a seat for me.
└Wow, you can feel the sorrow in this short post LOLLLLLLLLLLLL
└Next time they need to do it at Gocheok haha seriously, hold it somewhere bigger next time
└└Even Daepaseong probably never imagined they’d get this big
Honestly, I didn’t know either.
I never thought there’d be no seat for me...
└LOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL Ah... it’s funny but not funny]
Posts , disappointed fans lamenting missing out now that the group had grown so fast, popped up often.
Relieved that it wasn’t anything major, Noeul sighed softly and backed out to the post list again.
“This album’s popularity really must be insane. So many people missed out on the concert. I went, though.”
“Are you a sociopath?”
“But... it makes me nervous.”
Ignoring her friend’s jab, Noeul muttered seriously, lost in thought.
“What if their popularity rises and they start doing overseas tours? With even talk of Daepaseong getting acquired, it just makes me uneasy...”
“Come on, would they really push them that hard? No way they don’t know what’s important right now.”
“It’s that bastard CEO Jung Gyeongjo. He’s clueless about idols, that’s why!”
“He should’ve known since Pop Pop Pop!”
Noeul suddenly stood, shouting, “Gyeongjo, please wake the hell up!” before quickly calming down and plopping back onto the bed.
“...No way... even if it’s Daepaseong, they wouldn’t just sell them off to anyone, right?”
“Whew, honestly I envy you guys. At least with a big company you don’t have to worry about this crap.”
“Of course, WH still does dumb shit on the regular...” her friend, Haili, added with a bitter tone.
The two locked eyes, then sighed heavily in unison.
A faint silence lingered in the small room when suddenly Noeul let out a dramatic sigh.
“Hel~~!! Hoyun must’ve been sick after the concert! They say he went to the hospital for ankle treatment!! What do we do about our angel......”
The rumor that Seo Hoyun had visited the hospital the day after the concert spread online. Clutching her chest and wailing, Noeul kept fussing, but Haili ended her comfort with a single “Cheer up,” then closed the Hi-Five music video she had been replaying on YouTube and logged onto SNS.
[Holy shit! What the fuck is this?
https://entertain.never.com/read!!oid=001=WH_DaePasung
WH Entertainment acquires Daepaseong. Black Call, The Dawn, and Hi-Five are all under the same roof.]
And when she saw the linked article at the top of her feed, she couldn’t help but scream.
Startled, Noeul snapped her head around and scrambled next to her, asking what, what.
“Uaaaaghhh!!! Fuck!!”
With trembling fingers, Haili clicked the link.
《...—WH Entertainment has acquired Daepaseong Entertainment.
CEO Jung Kyungsoo stated, “Even with the acquisition, Daepaseong will continue to operate independently under the systematic support of WH Entertainment.”
WH Entertainment is creating a multi-label system while aiming for artist IP expansion and overseas advancement. However, some experts added, “This may have been a move to strengthen WH Entertainment’s notably weak actor management and secure Min Jiheon, often called Korea’s top Hallyu star.”
She hadn’t even finished reading the article before her blood pressure shot up to her head. Thɪs chapter is updated by 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝⚑𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖⚑𝕟𝕖𝕥
The first to speak, while struggling to suppress her anger, was Noeul.
“......Are we fucked?”
I was now standing once again inside WH Entertainment’s massive, glittering headquarters.
First time since Shining Star Season 2.
“Wow, this place is really something.”
Taking out my phone, I opened SNS again. The real-time trends were filled with combinations like Daepaseong, acquisition, merger, WH, The Dawn.
Quote tweets attached to the article link were flooded with all kinds of profanity.
[Same roof family my ass, shut the fuck up]
[Fuck you Gyeongjo you don’t deserve to be DPS CEO]
[Everyone’s getting too heated, calm down;; They’re basically separate labels. Looks like it’s just investment.]
[Ah....... Is WH out of their fucking mind? Just give Black Call a comeback already.]
[What about Yeonhoo...............]
[Only Hi-Five are pitiful. T_T Fuck, WH’s gone crazy.]
[Why are people acting like Daepaseong is some money pit? The Dawn made a ton of money this time, lol Honestly they’re more popular than Hi-Five lately? Some takes are insane.]
[Stop dragging Hi-Five into this, The Dawn aren’t even 1st-tier, their lack of ethics is unbelievable]
[they are NOT family]
[Just plain nuts (laughter)]
[The Dawn are mostly self-produced anyway, it’s fine. WH acquired Daepaseong to expand actor management. They won’t meddle with promotions.]
[Watching people cope is hilarious hahahahaha]
Chaos didn’t even begin to cover it.
I clicked my tongue softly.
Led by WH Entertainment’s security staff, along with our manager, two road managers, a few planning team employees, and the members, we passed through triple security and headed to the designated meeting room.
“...Seo Hoyun, is your ankle okay?”
Thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as expected.
Even though the pain had remained when I used the item, at least the injury hadn’t worsened; just a slightly stretched ligament.
[But really, your recovery speed is monstrous.]
I was born with good health.
It didn’t seem worth making a fuss over with a cast, but I couldn’t ignore the doctor’s advice or the manager’s panic. Not to mention Kang Ichae’s shimmering worried eyes that I still remembered.
When I came back from the hospital, the members didn’t look at me kindly. They got loud, saying they’d never trust me again about my condition.
‘And if they don’t trust me, what are they going to do about it.’
“Catch me if you can.”
Kim Sunghyun, the most responsible in the team, kept fussing over me, scanning me up and down.
“Want me to carry you on my back, hyung?”
By now, I just ignored words like that.
Instead, he held my arm and supported me.
“Gasp!! Mr. Seo Hoyun, you came here even with a cast? I don’t know how to apologize.”
When we entered the meeting room, WH staff greeted us with pale, strained faces.
Judging by their looks, they weren’t having an easy time either.
“Hello, I’m Jung Seonui, Team Leader of WH Entertainment’s Management Team.”
Mid to late thirties—if I counted my original age, he would have been around my peers.
Introducing himself as WH’s Management Team Leader, he smiled lightly as he continued.
“—Since this merger looks like it happened very suddenly from the outside, there’s been a lot of talk... but I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. The noise will die down soon.”
After The Dawn members, the planning team, and managers all sat down, the discussion began. Today’s meeting, excluding actor management, was to discuss idols—specifically The Dawn—and the direction moving forward.
“To be frank, while Daepaseong has been acquired under a multi-label system, I can’t promise there will be absolutely no interference. This is still business, and profit has to come first. I trust you’ll understand that much. However, part of Daepaseong’s planning and management team, whom you’ve been working closely with, will be assigned exclusively to The Dawn.”
They said The Dawn’s color would be preserved as much as possible, and WH would provide access to its museum, official goods shop, PT training, and personal injury management—all included.
And we would also move into WH’s new headquarters.
“What?? We get all that too??”
“Of course. After all, we’re family now, aren’t we?”
‘Shit, WH isn’t WH for nothing.’
Not a single thing mentioned had ever been provided by Daepaseong.
As the management head of WH Entertainment—called one of the three major agencies and a powerhouse of male idols—he spoke with confidence but in a mannerly, composed tone, explaining clearly and thoroughly.
‘This is... more than I expected.’
It was worlds apart from Daepaseong’s sloppy, hand-to-mouth style.
“Any further questions?”
The WH team leader finished his explanation with a kind smile.
When it came to planning, I had confidence I could handle it, whether under Daepaseong or WH. I had pushed Daepaseong’s planning team hard enough to produce fairly satisfying concepts already.
But there was something that had always left me dissatisfied.
Something small agencies could never overcome, no matter how hard they worked.
“Yes, I do have a question.”
I grinned and leaned forward. The most important thing in modern society.
