Chloe Montclair

I was sitting on the balcony, looking at the view in my world when I heard a voice say. "This is my own house and you're becoming to act like you own it."

"Oh my God!" I jerked up in fear. "Must you always scare me like this all the time?." I hissed and rolled my eyes at him.

He look at me and chuckled a little bit. Wow! He looks charming, I've never seen him smiled not until now. Talking about charming. He looks good this morning.

He was putting on a black top with black pants, his tan skin looks so smooth.

"Why? Never seen a good-looking guy before?." He asked.

"Good looking, my foot." I rolled my eyes and scoffed.  "What are you doing here?."  I asked him.

"This is my house, beautiful. I can come in and out as I like. You have no right to question me." He said arrogantly as he make himself comfortable on the couch.

"That's not what I'm asking you. You said to be back in the next two weeks but, This is just the fifth day."

"My life, my rules, my choice. So, how have you been treating my Nanny? I believe you weren't cold towards her?."

"Why don't you ask her yourself? I'm not those girls you sleep around with." I answered with my eyes rolled.

I swear, within few seconds I've spent with him just now, I saw him chuckle again.  "Chloe! Chloe, Ms. Steve told me you're-" Tiana stopped on her mid-sentence when she saw him.

"Mr. Stranger, you're back?." She asked in a small careful tone. I can't help but roll my eyes for the third time that morning. Must she always be careful with her words when talking to him?

"Hi there, Tiana. It's nice to finally meet you." He said as he stretch out his hand for her. Both Yazzidah and I looked at each other in awe. Did he just act sweet towards her?

He has never been this sweet towards me.

"Erm... Sure, nice to meet you. I've never had the chance to properly introduce myself to you and to also thank you for all that you've done for me, for us. Thank you so much. I will forever be grateful to you."

"It's nothing and you don't have to thank me. I'm glad, I could help. Plus, I heard you're the only one who can handle this stubborn lady... I hope we can work hand in hand and you'll always help me whenever I need your help." He said to her and winked.

"Of course! I will gladly help." She said sweetly.

"Tiana!!"

"What?." She said and eyed me. This girl is crazy.

"Erm... I will leave you two to talk then. I will just help Ms. Steve in the kitchen. When you're done, you can meet us in the kitchen." She said to me and left in a hurry.

"If you're trying to buy my friend loyalty then sorry to disappoint you, it's not going to work. I see what you're trying to do just now." I face him immediately after she left.

"That will be a talk for another day. But for now, you and I need to go somewhere together." He said.

"Go to where? Didn't you just arrive this morning? Where are you taking me to again this time around? Can you at least tell me where you're taking me to?." I bombard him with questions.

"That's for me to know and for you to find out. Come on, we have no time." He said. He brought out his phone, dial a number, and placed the phone on his ear.

"Is the car ready?." I heard him say. I had no idea what the person on the other line of the phone said to him and he hanged up the call.

"Let's go." He said and tried to leave.

"Wait, what about Ms. Steve? What if she's looking for me? And Tiana too?."

"They'll be fine. They know you're with me." He said and left. I had no other choice but to follow him like a lost puppy.

We got down, a guard came to us, I could remember seeing this face the day they came to pick Tiana and me up at the prison house. He bowed to him before handing the car key to Jawad.

"Boss, are you sure you don't need any guard?." He asked him carefully.

"No, I will be fine. Where's Lucas?." He asked the guard. I know who Lucas is, he's the same guy who brought me here.

"Your father called him so, he left. He should be back in the next 40 minutes.".

"Good." He said, opened the car door, and got in. But before I could walk over to the other side and open the door, the same guy rushed there and opened the car door for me with a small smile on his face. "thank you." I thanked him before getting in.

Such a gentleman, unlike his jerk of a boss.

Ken ignite the car engine and drove off.

It's been 35 minutes of the drive now and we still haven't gotten to our destination. Ken please, can you at least tell me where you're taking me to? Are you planning on killing me? At least, allow me to see my sister first before you decide to kill me, huh?." I bombard him with questions again.

"Can you just keep quiet and allow me to concentrate on my driving? And, just so you know, no one is planning on killing you. I won't gain anything by killing you so, shut that mouth of yours before I kiss the hell out of it."

Of course, I do not need to be told twice. I shut my mouth tightly without saying a word. He just said he's going to kiss me and I wouldn't want that to happen.

Finally, the car came to a halt. It was a mall. "What are we doing here? Wait, don't tell me you brought me to this big mall to get me something again. I don't understand you anymore. You keep on getting me things even when I don't need them. You just got my friend and I dresses a few days back and now you brought me here to get me wears again? Look Ken, you agreed to pay me for my service right? I will get myself the things I need not you getting them for me. Can you just please, turn the car around and let's leave Thai place?." I finished talking non-stop

"Are you done?." He asked me more in a pissed tone.

What? Did I do anything wrong? I was only trying to be considerate, I do not want him to spend his money unnecessary on me. I'm not that type of girl.

"But I was only-"

"Can you at least allow me to do my things without getting in my head with your unnecessary talks?." He cut me off in an annoyed tone.

What kind of a person is he? One moment, he's sweet and considerate and the other moment, he's acting like a jerk.

"The reason why we're here, what you needed to see... You're going to get an answer to your question. Just wait here and watch closely." He said but his eyes fixed on the entrance of the mall.

Again, he took his phone and dial a number...

"Are you sure, they're in there?."

"I do not want any mistake, John. You made your findings correctly before informing me right?." He asked the person again.

"Good." He said and hang up the call.

Before I could ask him what the call was all about, I heard him say. "Perfect! What brought us here is out. Take a look." He pointed towards the entrance of the mall and my heart skipped all of a sudden. My whole body went numb for a moment I couldn't move my hand or leg.

No, this can't be true.
