Chapter 34: Chapter 34

"You're not thinking of going there alone are you?" Van said as soon as Rella told her about the text message.

"I want to know what it is."

" They have your phone number isn't that creepy?"

" When I meet them I'll ask them about it."

" Rella! " Van yelled her name impatiently. " I'm coming with you."

" Am I interrupting something? " Jake appeared in the kitchen suddenly startling them both.

"No." Rella said.

"So that means you won't mind if I borrow Van here?"

"Go right ahead." She said ignoring the look her friend gave her.

She would just get this over and done with she assured herself as soon they left.

Sneaking out of the beach house wasn't that hard and once she was outside the gate, there was a car waiting with a tall man wearing dark suit leaning against it. He straightened when he saw her.

"I have been asked to pick you up." The man said gruffly.

"Your boss isn't here?"

"No but they're not that far either."

This wasn't looking so good Rella thought, there was no way in hell she'd get into a dark car with a total stranger heck why was she even here in the first place? The atmosphere was starting to have a eiree feel to it and Rella didn't like it.

"You know what maybe we will reschedule… "

She started to draw back but in a flash the man grabbed her and his hand went over her mouth so she couldn't scream. She struggled to pry herself free from his iron-like grip but her efforts were useless. Something hard and cold was pressed at her back.

"stop struggling before you piss me off and I blow your brains out. "

Rella blood ran cold at that. What do they want from her?

Is this the price to pay for her curiousity. The saying curiosity killed the cat couldn't be more true.

I'm so sorry Stefan. Her mind was screaming to him but who was she kidding she had no telepathic gifts and she was going to die tonight. She screwed her eyes shut.

The man pushed her into the backseat of the car and shut the door.

When Rella opened her eyes she was back in the bedroom with Stefan's arms around her.

It was all just a dream and yet it felt so real. Cold sweat beaded her forehead as she struggled to get her breathing to normal. She inhaled and exhaled deeply.

Thank God it was just a dream. And whoever it was trying to distroy her peace of mind can go to hell.

"She didn't show up madam."

A tall man in dark suit spoke into the phone as he pulled the car door open and sank unto the driver's seat.

The woman on the other end was dissatisfied. "Well that was a smart move on her part I'll give her that and if she thinks she's gotten rid of me then she's sorely mistaken."

"What do you want me to do?"

"Lie low for now until I figure out a course of action. They cannot be allowed to be happy while I am still alive."
