Chapter 39: Chapter 39

Arpit's POV

My life has literally turned into the best. I can't thank the lord for immaculately shaping my life. I remember when I first saw Niharika in the college and eventually I had fallen for her. I remember how selfish I was to hurt her innocent soul. I am thankful to have her back in my life.

Today she called me unexpectedly in the office only to tell me that I couldn't kiss her till I fulfill her mom's dream. I know she is annoyed but denying me of my oxygen through her touch won't solve the purpose. I am content with my life and couldn't ask for more. I know she is mine and she will remain forever.

My project is ready. I am just waiting for her birthday. I know it will be the best birthday gift for her ever.

I am waiting for 7th December, the special day of my Niharika. I know she will be back by 6th and I will set everything for her birthday.

I know my love deserves the best and I won't leave any stone unturned for her desires.

I mentally planned everything as I was driving towards my home. My thoughts were broken with the honks of a vehicle wanting to overtake me. I smiled at my love-struck version. Reaching home, I spent some time with my mom and then dozed off after dinner. Tomorrow was a big day.

I got up in the morning and dressed up in a business suit. I reached office earlier than usual and went straight to the cabin of Mr. Bose only to not find him there.

I impatiently waited for him because he was the only one who could arrange everything for me.

It was sharp ten when Mr. Bose arrived. The old man was visibly startled to see me waiting in his cabin.

"Good morning, Sir." I greeted him with a smile.

"Morning, Dr. Khandelwal. I will be delighted to know the reason for you coming here so early." Mr. Bose said trying to be polite with me but frowns on his wrinkled face said he didn't appreciate me waiting for him.

"Sir, I wanted help from you." I said to sound as polite as possible.

"How could I help you, young man?" Mr. Bose said, chuckling.

"Sir, I and Niharika, I mean, Dr. Sehgal were classmates in the college. We share a good rapport. I warned her to surprise her with the launch of her anti-aging cosmetics on her birthday. Could you please arrange everything with the PR but keep it low key. If she wants the launch, the same day we could proceed." I said to the old man with a lot of hope but he laughed at me again.

"Young man, I know it's more than mere rapport. I know about you two." He said bursting my bubble of us having a secret relationship. He continued in a sympathetic tone, "Launch party includes guests. How could we keep the occasion low-key, child?"

"Sir, it's her birthday. We can have the party. I want to surprise her by telling her that the product is ready to be plunged into the market. Please help." I said with pleading eyes.

"So, you want me to avoid telling her about this fiasco?" He said as if he wanted a confirmation.

I nodded towards him signalling that he was reading my mind and I wanted exactly the same.

"Arpit, I will help you if you personally get the product-lines verified with me. I want all the reports on my table which you have been hiding since a while." Mr. Bose said.

Interrupting him, I said, "Two weeks to be precise." I passed him the file I had with me which had all the reports and necessary documents.

Impressed with my work as I had made sure to obtain all the permission from the government too, he said, "Impressive. It's all done basically. I see, you are the patentee of this organic composition used in this. It must have been easy."

He chuckled and continued, "I will get back with the PR. We just have a week. In the meanwhile, I will inform Niharika madam about her birthday party like every year. Thanks for bringing her smile back, young man." Mr. Bose said, assuring me.

"Thank you." I thanked him as I left the office.

I smiled at my victory and I knew Niharika would be on the cloud nine. I couldn't wait to start my married life with her. She is my love, my first love. I can do anything for my girl.
