Arpit's POV

I couldn't register what happened instantly. A moment before, I was admiring the enchanting beauty of my Niharika while now we both were holding hands and escaping out of the party. My heartbeat was racing heavily and I was dumbfounded for a minute. All I could do was admire her beauty. My eyes had a great treat today as they were struck at her smiling face today. She looked magnificent in her peach colored sari. I could sense her well-toned back in her backless blouse. The sari embellished her curves gracefully and she looked like a Goddess.

I was thinking about our kiss. The moment I kissed her palm, I felt satisfied. I realized my apologies brought her near me and I will never leave till my last breath. I was immature earlier but now I am mature enough to retain the priceless gem.

"Give me your car keys", her sweet voice took me out of the trance.

"Where are we going?", I asked, finding ourselves in the parking lot.

"Car keys", she asked, making a pout. This was indeed too much for me today.

I handed over the keys as the blood rushed into my cheeks. I knew I was blushing. I tried to hide that from her but she had noticed it well.

Kissing on one of my cheeks and teasing me, she said, "You look cute while blushing."

I was taken back at her advanced move. I pulled her towards myself but she was strong enough to control her body and prevented herself resting on my chest. I wondered how she could be so prepared and how could she control all her emotions while I stood blushing in front of her. Excusing herself, she made a call to someone. She had left my hand for the first time. I noticed her standing still and teasing me. She was constantly staring at me.

I was not able to anticipate what is happening for a while but soon her driver came with her signature black Mercedes. She handed my keys to him and asked him to park my car at my home. I wondered what's in my store now.

"Call your mom and tell her that you will be late tonight. You are caught up in urgent work and you have to leave for your lab." She said making innocent faces like a small kid. I was getting to know a new Niharika today. I smiled at her and called my mom to inform her that I will be late and the car will reach home. My mother smirked and asked me to enjoy which I couldn't control my laughter.

She pulled my hand and signalled to get into the car. I was already dumbstruck at everything so I didn't react at all. I wondered where we were going. I sat on the passenger seat next to the driver seat.

"So you are not going to drive?", she said, making an ugly face.

"I haven't drove into Mercedes, madam. I could never afford it." I said making an innocent face.

"Now since your girlfriend owns it, you will have to learn it." She said while igniting the engine of the car.

I kept looking at her luscious lips and enticing eyes as she drove out of the parking lot. I was busy looking at her dangling jhumkis embellishing her face, when she asked, "Stop leering at me."

"You look ravishing", I managed to say.

I knew she would say something unbelievable so changing the topic, I asked, "Where are we going?"

She didn't answer but winked at me. I didn't say anything further and continued to admire her beauty.

After a fifteen minutes ride, she turned to a known road and ultimately stopped at the place where we met for the first time, at our college, the place I fought with her and lost her.

She got out of the car and asked, "Did you have dinner?"

I was startled at her response. I nodded my head since I had taken dinner and I was about to leave before she came to me. I asked her, "Did you?"

I knew she didn't eat because I was constantly looking at her while she attended the guests but she is good at lying. She answered in an affirmative tone.

We stood looking at each other in front of the locked gates of the college in the moonlight under the roof of shining stars bestowing their good wishes on us.

She said, "So, Dr. Arpit Khandelwal, do you love me?"

I understood the fact this is the place where I insulted her love and hence, she wants to mend the things at this place only.

I said, "Yes, I love you Dr. Niharika Sehgal."

She said, "Speak louder. I didn't hear you."

I was amazed now, I repeated at a louder pitch.

She crossed her arms and said, "Come again, be louder, the banyan tree near the canteen should hear it."

She winked at me and was indeed, happy.

I smirked, I knew what she meant.

I screamed at the top of my voice, "I love you, Dr. Niharika Sehgal. I want to spend my life with you."

My vocal cords pained a little and I coughed to clear my throat.

She hugged me. I could smell the aroma of her deodorant. I couldn't register for a minute and whispered in my ear, "Me too, old man."

I was satisfied with her affirmation but I wasn't old. Roaming my hands on her bare back, I teased her, "I am not old. Try me."

I could hear her heartbeat when I touched her. I could feel her breath as her body touched mine. I felt as if she is the elixir of my life and without her, my world is nothing. She broke away the hug but remained in my arms.

She pinched my nose and said, "You are mine, that's all."

I closed the distance between her lips and placed a peck on her luscious lips. She bit her bottom lip seductively and kissed me back. We both kissed passionately exploring each other. Our tongues fought for dominance inside each other. I ultimately gave in and enjoyed the kiss with tremendous heat of passion, love, lust and desire which was built up inside us for years.

We lost our breath and separated from each other letting the air come in. We smiled at each other mischievously. I knew I was blushing and I was amazed that she had such an effect on me.

I pulled her towards myself and said, "Let's have dinner now. I know you haven't eaten anything."

Placing a peck on my cheeks, she said, "So, you knew this."

"Come on, now." I said pulling her inside the car.
