Chapter 18: Chapter 18

Niharika's POV

I was a bit relaxed at how the situation ended but I was worried about Sapna and Niyati. Whatever they did to me was utterly wrong but still they were wounded and I didn't even know how they were doing.

I called Mr. Bose made sure to provide as much evidence as possible to make sure that Vikram Walia does not come out on bail. I wanted him in jail for a long time. Thankfully, I was able to provide evidence against him. My last minute idea of a spy camera was indeed effective.

I asked my driver to drive me to the hospital where both of the girls were taken as I hopped in the car.

I checked my emails only to find a list of people who claimed that they got allergies with my product as sent by Raghav. I wanted to make it sure that they were safe and they didn't get any allergies. If anyone has got any kind of problem, I decided to take my product down from the market, no matters, it was my loss. I was sure it was safe but still wanted to make sure. I called Raghav to instruct him personally to inquire regarding this.

I went to the hospital. Niyati was operated on and the police had to take her statement but I could meet Sapna.

I went to her room. She was entangled in the tubes supplying various fluids in her veins.

I went near her and sat. She got up a bit to sit to which I signalled her to keep lying on the bed.

"How are you?" I asked her.

"I am sorry, madam." She said while sobbing.

"I asked how are you?" I said firmly.

"I am doing fine, madam." She said with tears in her eyes.

I asked her, "Why did someone try to kill you?". After all, this is what I wanted to know. I just can't tolerate people betraying their employers no matter whatever the reason is.

"I was having an affair with a rich young guy, Arnav Seth. He stays near your house. He seemed to be a good boy. I met him while shopping for the groceries and later we drew closer to each other. One day he came to your place. I asked him to go but he resisted. From then, he used to frequently come to your house. I thought I was in love with him. We used to talk for hours. Amidst those talks, I told him about your business projects unknowingly. This was my first mistake." She said amidst sobs.

I managed to speak, "Then".

"Madam, one day as you went to the office, he came and asked for breakfast. I went into the kitchen and he came to me. He began kissing me and we ended up in the bed. This was my second mistake. Madam, I am sorry." She said hysterically.

I was shocked to hear that. She was enjoying with her boyfriend in my house. It was indeed, sh*tty. I asked her strongly, "Then what?"

"Madam, from that night, I began getting calls from a private number. An unknown man called me to tell that he has a recording of me having a sexual encounter with a guy in your house. He threatened me of releasing that video on the internet, if I didn't work for him." Her breath shortened as she sobbed hysterically.

I had pity on her situation. She trusted her boyfriend but he betrayed her but then too, her betrayal to me was unacceptable. I maintained my composure and said, "You could have told me beforehand. I could have saved your dignity but you betrayed me."

"Madam, I swear I didn't betray you. I was afraid to tell you. That man asked me to give the papers of the international deal from your study. I didn't give him. He came inside your house and attacked me with a dumbbell. I tried to stop him but he went towards your study." She was sobbing hysterically. She said, "Madam, I am sorry. I have explained the same in my statement to the police too."

"How is Niyati related to you?" I popped a question at her.

"Madam, How do you know Niyati?" She countered a question to me.

"Answer what I asked. I have zero tolerance towards betrayal. You must remember." I said her strongly.

"Madam, please trust me I didn't do anything." She said sobbing.

"Why the hell you f*cked your boyfriend in my home? Is that the part of your duty? Insane lady!" I snapped her cold-heartedly.

"Madam, Niyati Verma is my cousin. My maternal aunt's daughter. How do you know her?" She said sobbing only to make me realize that she really doesn't know about the conspiracy of Walia.

"That's none of your business." I handed her some money and said, "This is your three months salary. You are fired."

I walked out of the room.
