Chapter 47: Chapter 47

The stars illuminated the sky, and the moon shines its lightly to clear our path, I increased my speed but got pulled back by Darren who seats me down on a boulder.

"What?" I asked

"Erm, how about we spend the remaining hours together, staring at the stars?". He says to me.

A curious look draped over, why on each would he want to, spend time together? I asked myself, apparently I got the answer to my question when he airs out the reason to me.

He says, "I want us to spend some time together, after all, another day has gone and we have 28 days left".

Again with the same words to me, and what can I say, I urged myself to accept his request and smiled.

He seats down next to me and slowly lifts his head, and so did I, everything seemed quiet until we were bblindfoldedbehind our backs and dragged away.

(Still blindfolded)

"What's going on" a paranoid Darren let out, and not quite long the blindfolds wwereta akeoff, inferring a big party sign that reads, "Happy birthday Darren". Thus, fell our eyes to our family staring at us.

"What the hell?".

My eyes drifts and I saw aunt waving at me, she spurts a little smile and waits the second, Ravi reversed the attention over to herself.

She says, "ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for coming over to my son's birthday party!!! Happy birthday son".

I had no idea today was Darren's birthday, it seems we both share the same birth month, my feet moved to congratulate him, rather, ur falls aside, and took notice of some group of men, sitting inside the room.

"Who are they?" I thought that's when, uncle Kevin, walked past me and signaled them to leave.

A few headcount he sneaked out as well oblivious to the fact that,I was hot on his tails.

Uncle Kevin said, "yes!! Why are you here?". His voices showed he wasn't pleased to see them at all.

One of the men, ambling in says, "sorry boss, but I wanted to tell you that, everything has been set for the show".

"What show?" I asked myself, as they continued talking.

"The bomb has been placed inside the cake and the moment, birthday boy!! Tries to cut the cake, it will go, kaboom".

(Stunned)

A shovel a startled demeanor, it will only mean, that uncle Kevin, wants to kill his nephew, why?" I asked but rather needed to get the cake far away from the room.

Immediately, I took off and ran into the party room, Mr. Smith, Ravi, aunt, Tori stood next to Darren, and the boomed cake, placed at the front.

I tried to move forward, yet the crowd wouldn't let me pass, I jumped up so I could get a hold of my aunt's notoriety, but she couldn't get what I was trying to say.

How on earth am I going to  inform them about the boomed cake?" And sight a Darren swiftly moved the knife, forward to the cake.

The tension gradually builds up! I was this close to losing everyone I loved, and if I don't think fast, I will lose them.

(Tension keeps on building, Darren veers forward to slice the cake, that's when, an idea came to me, the only way to gain everyone's attention is to create a diversion.

Thus without hesitation, I fell my eyes downwards and took a hold of a pouch bowl placed at the side, in other to save everyone, I held it up and smashed it on the ground, with immediately veers their eyes on me.
